A card for a Globe Trotter!

A while ago i attended a 'Big Shot' card class hosted by a fellow demo and good friend of mine Jade and here is one of the cards that we made:

I just love the colour combo Jade selected for this card: 'Elegant Eggplant', 'Old Olive' and 'Whisper White'. On an 'Elegant Eggplant' cardbase we layered an 'Old olive' 'Top Note' create using the 'Big Shot'. We then ran a piece of 'Whisper White' through the 'Big Shot' and trimmed around the perforated edge to create a smaller top note which we layered onto the 'Old Olive' one. We stamped the globe image from 'The Open Sea' onto it and then sentiment from 'Petite Pairs' using 'Elegant Eggplant' ink.

Happy Birthday Marg!

Today is my step-mums birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARG!! I made her a card in her favourite colour, which translates in Stampin' Up! language: 'Wisteria Wonder'.

I have Jade to thank for this design as i made it at her 'Card For All Occassions' card class. On a 'Wisteria Wonder' base we 'Clear Embossed' the 'Medallion' image twice to create a beautifully elegant background. (Notice i placed a large 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre of one of the medallions.
We then ran some beautiful 'Whisper White' 'Organza Ribbon' around the card tying it in a knot at the front.

Next we ran some 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note', then ran it through again using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' to add some texture. We added some 'Basic Rhinestones' to the centre of the flowers, and stamped the sentiment from the 'Petite Pairs' set using 'Wisteria Wonder' ink. Finally we cut aroud the perforated edge of the 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' and then mounted it onto another 'Top Note' cut from  silver mirror card (non-stampin' up) and glued this over the ribbon to secure it into place!

I hope Marg likes this card and has a brilliant day!!

Wedding Sweet! A MUST HAVE Wedding Stampset!

Hey all, i have had to schedule todays blog post as i have a super busy day today - i'm working ALL day and then off straight away afterwards to the O2 arena to go and watch the Westlife farewell tour with my good friend Ruth!! Woo hoo!

So today i have a card to share with you using the beautiful 'Wedding Sweet' stampset:

This card has been created using a 'Whisper White' cardbase (created from a piece of A4 cardstock cut i half length ways, folded in half and then the front folded back on itself. Onto the front panel i layered a piece of 'Blushing Bride' card stock.

Next up i ran a piece of 'Pear Pizzazz' cardstock and a piece of 'Whisper White' through the 'Big Shot' using the fab 'Top Note Die', trimming around the perforated edge of the 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' and then mounting it onto the green 'Top Note'. Onto the 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' shape i stamped the foilage image from the 'Wedding Sweet' stampset, using 'Pear Pizzazz' ink and then placed some teeny tiny 'Basic Pearls' over the little dots!

I then ran some 'Blushing Bride' cardstock through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, creating the cute little butterflies!

Finally i stamped the 'congratulations' sentiment - also from the 'Wedding Sweet' set ink 'Pear Pizzazz'. (You may also notice that i wrapped a piece of 'Pear Pizzazz' 'Seaming Ribbon' around the spine of the card!!

Here is a pic of the card open:

This card can be used for a range of purposes a engagement/ wedding/ anniversary congratulations card, or with a change of sentiment an engagement/ wedding/ anniversay invitation, Save the dates, RSVP card or Thankyou cards!

The 'Wedding Sweet' stampset is a MUST HAVE if you're intending to make your own wedding stationary...

Congratulations on your engagement Lisa and Mike!

Hey all, hope you're all having a lovely week and enjoying the sunshine!

Today i have a card to share with you that i made for my cousin Mike, who proposed last week to his partner Lisa - and of course she said YES!!

So here is the engagement card that i made for them:

This type of card was demo'd to us by Fiona a Stampin' Up! colleague of mine. The card base is 'Very Vanilla' which has been folded over in half and then the front folded over again. I layered two different pieces of 'Everyday Enchantment DSP' on the card base.

I then ran some 'Poppy Parade' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die', and then ran a piece of 'DSP' through as well - i trimmed off the edge to create a slightly smaller shape and mounted it to the 'Poppy Parade' 'Top Note' before sticking it to the cardbase.

Next up i punched two birds using the 'Two Step Bird Punch' from 'Very Vanilla' card, the wings from some coordinating 'DSP' and the branches from some 'Poppy Parade'. The cute little hearts were punched out using the 'Owl Punch' (I also placed three along the edge of the card too)

Here's a pic of the card open (in my lovely sunny garden!):

You may notice that i have placed a 'Very Vanilla' 'Top Note' in the centre, before stamping in 'Poppy Parade' ink a congratulations sentiment from the 'For My Family' stampset.

If you love this paper as much as me - it is only available until SATURDAY. So if you want some for your crafty stash you must place an order of £45 and you will get it for FREE. Email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Crafty Boots Challenge: Easter!

It's Crafty Boots Challenge time!! This fortnights challenge is unsuprisingly: EASTER!!! This fortnight we want to see your Easter creations!

So today for inspiration i have my DT creation to share with you:

It's a super cute Easter Chick created using the fabulous 'Top Note Die'! I have to be honest i was inspired by several versions of this online but tweeked it to make it my own.

The cardbase for this card is 'Pumpkin Pie'. The chick has been created from a 'Daffodil Delight' 'Top note' (created using the 'Big Shot') which i edged with 'Pumpkin Pie' ink applied with a 'Sponge Dauber'. His wings were also created using this technique created from a 'Scallop circle' cut in half! and his spiky hair was created by punching some card with the '5 Petal Flower Punch'.

His beak has been punched from some 'Pumpkin Pie' card using the 'Large Heart Punch' and then his eyes were glued on top, created by punching out two '1-1/4" Circles' from 'Whisper White' card and two 'Basic Black' '1/2" Circles'. His eyelets created from a 'Daffodil delight' '1-1/4" Circle' cut in half!

I cut a 'Pumpkin Pie' 'Scallop Circle' into quarters and used two parts to create his little feet, and finally finished him off by tying a bow (from retired ribbon) and sticking it place on his head!

Finally the sentiment is from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set, inked in 'Pumpkin Pie' ink and then punched out using the 'Word Window Punch'.

I look forward to seeing your Easter themed projects - don't forget to enter them into the Crafty Boots Challenge!!

(Don't forget if you like the look of any of the products that i have used in this project you can order them through me! Why not check out the catalogues on the righthand side of this blog and then email over your order to amyjtidd@gmail.com

A Thankyou TopNote Card!!

Hey all! Hope you have had a good weekend. I have and can't believe it is almost over!! Today i went down to the seaside with my sisters and whilst there had a scrummy lunch and did lots of shopping!! I'm upset the weekends over but totally looking forward to the week ahead - tomorrow is my birthday and then on Tuesday we have our 20 week scan! Can't wait!!!

Unsuprisingly i haven't had a lot of time to craft this weekend but i have a thankyou card i made earlier in the week to share with you, that my friend Ruth asked me to make for her. I used a similar design to the 'Top Note' card that featured on my blog the other day. (See here) Fiona taught us how to make cards like this and i just love the layout and know i'll be using it a lot in the future:

The card base used is 'Crumb Cake'. The 'DSP' used in this card is from the 'Beau Chateau' and the 'Nursery Nest' collections. As you can see i have used the 'Top Note Die' in this design. The thanks stamp is from the 'Tagtastic' set, inked in 'Baja Breeze', punched with a '1-3/8" Circle Punch', layered onto a 'Soft Suede' 'Scallop Circle' with a little 'Baja Breeze' 'Seaming Ribbon' and a couple of 'Basic Pearls' to embellish the card!!

Ruth wanted these cards made to give to colleagues who accompanied her on an Duke Of Edinborough expedition with some of our students. Despite being nervous about the trip and all the organisations it all went well! It's the first one that Ruth has organised and she did a fab job! Well done Ruth!!

Don't forget if you like the look of any of the products i have used you can buy them straight from me (all orders of £45 will also earn yourself a FREE stampset or pack of paper!!) Email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Fionas Spice Cake TopNote Card!

Today i have a fabulous card to share with you that a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Fiona shared with us at Jade's craft get together last weekend. It features the totally versatile 'Top Note Die' and the fanciful 'Spice Cake DSP' from the Spring Mini Catalogue:

I  haven't used this papers before but i have to say i've been completely converted. I love the vintage seventies feel that these designs have to offer!!

So here is the beautiful card we made:

We used a 'Soft Suede' cardbase and folded it in half and then folded the front side of the card in half again to create this unusual card design.

Here's a front few:

We layered some 'Spice Cake DSP' on the front 1/4 of the card, a strip on the edge of the inside edge and the edge on the lefthand edge. To create the front of the card we ran some a piece of 'Soft Suede', a piece of 'Spice Cake DSP' and 'Very Vanilla' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die'. I cut around the 'DSP' 'Top Note' perforated edge to create a smaller top note shape and mounted it onto the 'Soft Suede' 'Top Note' and then glued it onto the front of the class. In the centre of this i placed a 'Soft Suede' 'Scallop Circle', some 'Very Vanilla' 'Seaming Ribbon' and then stamped the birthday sentiment (from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' stampset' in 'Soft Suede' ink onto 'Very Vanilla' card, punching it out with the 'Scallop Circle Punch'.

We stamped the small flower image from the 'Spice Paisley' stampset all over the inside of the card using 'Soft Suede' ink to create a background and then glued the 'Very Vanilla' 'Top Note', stamping another small flower in the corner.

Here's a view of the completed card open, so you can hopefully make sense of my wittering instructions!:

I really enjoyed playing with these papers. Thankyou Fiona for sharing this wonderful creation with us!! I will most definately be using this type of layout again! Watch this space!!

And don't forget products in the mini catalogue are only available until the end of April so if you want to get your crafty mits on these fab papers then make an order sooner rather than later!!! Email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Happy Valentines Day!

Love is in the air!! It's Valentines Day!! What's great this year is that Valentines day falls on halfterm so i get to spend the whole day with my lovely hubby!!

Here's the valentines card i made for him, designed by the lovely Jade and made at her crafty coffee morning last week:

Isn't it such a completely cute card!! It started life as a 'Whisper White' cardbase, on which a piece of 'Real Red' card (ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder' has been layered on to. The sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set) was stamped in 'Real Red' onto a piece of 'Whisper White', punched out using the 'Word Window Punch' and stuck into place using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. Next we glued in place a 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' (created using the 'Big Shot') ontop of which we placed a 'Real Red' 'Top Note' (with the end trimmed off) We glued a 'Whisper White' '1-3/8" Circle' and then embossed the 'Top Note' and circle using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'. Finally we punched two owls from 'Basic Black' card using the 'Owl Punch' and two branches from the 'Two Step Bird Punch' to create the lovebirds!! (the branches were glued down to the card and then the owls were raised using 'Dimensionals'.)

I just love this card and design - i think that this card is completely versatile and with a change of sentiment could be a fab wedding, anniversary or engagement card!!

Wishing you a fabulous Valentines Day!! I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish my Grandfather in law John a very happy birthday - February is a busy birthday month - it is also my twin brother in laws birthdays tomorrow so the next few days will feature birthday cards on my blog - so keep visiting back daily!!

Perfect Postage Calender!!!

Hi all! Have you had a good weekend?! I've had a lovely restful one - but not much crafting - it just seemed to go too quickly!

Today i have another fabby make created by a fellow Stampin' Up! demo Jade and it features another scrummy product from the new Spring Mini Catalogue: a stampset called 'Perfect Postage' and the coordinating stamp!!

Jade created this calender by running some 'Basic Black' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die' and stuck a calender on the bottom half (These are available from most stationary shops - but these particular ones are from The Range - and are a complete bargain at 10 for £1!!

Jade punched a 'Scallop Circle' from some 'Cherry Cobbler' card and placed that in the centre on the 'Top Note' using a 'Dimensional'. She then stamped the raspberry postage stamp out onto some 'Whisper White' card using 'Stampin' Write Markers' and punched it out using the 'Postage Stamp Punch', this was glued on a diagonal from the 'Scallop Circle'! Jade finished this design off with three 'Old Olive' 'Brads placed in the righthand corner of the 'Top Note'.

Isn't this such a brilliant project!! Have a look at the mini catalogue if you haven't yet had a chance - it is full of such great products. The 'Perfect Postage' stampset and punch can be found on page 20!

If you would like a paper version of the catty for you to flick through email me your postal address and i'll send you one!! My email is amyjtidd@gmail.com

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Today is my hubbys birthday!! So todays post is dedicated to him!

I couldn't resist making him a birthday card with my new crafting stash that i have just got in from the new mini catalogue!!!

The card i made him uses the brand new stampset 'Create a Cupcake' (which actually coordinates with the 'Cupcake Punch' that i featured in yesterdays blogpost!!)

Here's the card that i made for my lovely hubby:

So, i started off with an 'Old Olive' cardbase and layered a piece of 'Whisper White' card ontop. Next i ran a piece of 'Old Olive' 'DSP' through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die' and glued that onto the white card.

On a seperate piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the cupcake out using 'Old Olive', 'Daffodil Delight' and 'Rich Razzleberry' ink. (I brought these stamps in clear mount - the fab thing about these is that if you stamp using a clear block you can easily line them up!!) I stamped the sentiment - also from the 'Create a Cupcake' set in 'Rich Razzleberry' ink along the bottom and then mounted it onto a piece of 'Rich Razzleberry' before gluing it onto the 'Top Note'.

I hope hubby likes his card - we're off out for a curry tonight with friends to celebrate!! Yum! Yum!

Have you looked through the new mini catalogue yet?! What products do you love? Don't forget if you would like to make an order then email it over to me anytime - amyjtidd@gmail.com - and don't forget i'm offering FREE P&P for all CraftyThINKer customers on all orders £50 or over.

Tying Up The Loose ends of Christmas!

Hi all! It's New Years Eve! Have you got any plans?! We're off to a fancy dress party this evening at a friends house! So i thought it would be a good idea today to tie up all the loose ends of Christmas... i have a few crafty things to share with you from Christmas.

First a card that my good friend Lucy made for her boyfriend Tim for Christmas. She came around and used my craft stash to make it, but i was under strict instructions not to post her masterpiece on my blog until after Christmas. So here it is:

Lucy started with a 'Whisper White' Card base. She layered some 'Old Olive DSP' on the front of the card. She then ran some 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die'. She then stamped the cute little penguins and the Christmas Trees from the fab 'Polar Party' stampset ontot he 'Top Note' and coloured them in using 'Stampin' Write Markers' and various inks and 'Blender Pens'. She punched out a small heart from some 'Real Red' card to place inbetween the penguins and created some mistletoe using  'Old Olive' card and the bramch part from the 'Two-Step Bird Punch'. The berries were created using some 'Basic Pearls'! Isn't it a super cute card!!

I also have the other card totes that i made for our grandparents for Christmas gifts. They took me ages to make and here they are all finished:

'DSP' used for this project is from the 'Cheerful Treat' DSP set!

'DSP' used from the 'Brights Collection'
'DSP' used from the 'Holly Berry Bouquet DSP' collection
The card totes were very well recieved! Everyone was very happy with their gifts and i really hope they find them useful! Check back to my later posts to see how these totes were made!

Anyway, wishing you all a very happy 2012! Happy New Year!!

Rainbows Christmas Workshop: 1st Gomshall, Peaslake and Shere Rainbows

Phew!! What a busy day!! I had a full day of teaching (all steam ahead in preperation for the January exams) and then straight off to 1st Gomshall, Peaslake and Shere Rainbows for a Christmas workshop!!!

It was the girls final meeting before Christmas and so i planned some christmas crafts for them to enjoy! They were all so creative and many of them adapted my original designs which i always love seeing!

It was a real challenge designing projects suitable for 5-7 year olds but i think it went well! All the girls seemed to have lots of fun making a christmas card, a cute little giftbox and some reindeer poop!!! Here's the projects:
First the Raindeer Poop:
A 'Real Red' 'Top Note' created using the 'Big Shot'. I typed the 'Reindeer Poop' label out on the computer and printed it on some 'Very Vanilla' cardstock, stamped the reindeer stamp in 'Soft Suede' ink (from a retired set - although you could use the 'Dasher' stamp from the current catalogue) and glued it on. I popped some chocolate (in this case some chocolate covered honeycomb) into a cellophane bad along with a Reindeer Poop poem (printed on 'Very Vanilla' card) and then stuck the topper on using some super 'Red Sticky Tape') The girls loved this project!!!
Next project was this cute 'Cherry Cobbler' 'Pillow Box' cute out using the 'big shot'. We wrapped some 'Old Olive' 'Satin Ribbon' around the 'Pillow Box'. Next we stamped the cute little penguin from the 'Polar Party' set in 'Basic Black ink. We coloured in his hat and scarf, beak and feet and then punched him out using the 'Scallop Circle Punch'. We stuck this onto the box using some 'Dimensionals'. Finally we popped a chocolate or two in them!!! The girls enjoyed that bit!!!

Final project was a Christmas card!! A 'Very Vanilla' cardbase. The Christmas tree has been made from some 'Old Olive' card that has been ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Pennants Die'. We decorated the tree using lots of stickers (non Stampin' Up!) The trunk was made from a little strip of 'Soft Suede' and the pot was made from some 'Real Red' card. The girls all created very different trees and even decorated their envelopes!!
All in all we had a very lovely crafty time!!! Do you run a club or group who would like to do some crafting? E-mail me for some details of how to organise a workshop: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Top Note Dog GiftCard Holder

Another 'Top Note Die' project for you all today! I've been thinking about christmas quite a lot recently and we often give people giftcards but i think they can be quite impersonal gifts, so wanted to start thinking of some imaginative ways of giving these to people. Playing aroung with the 'Top Note Die' i came up with idea:

To create this dog you need to run some 'Soft Suede' cardstock through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die'. You need two 'Top Notes' to make this project. His eyes were made from two '1-3/8" Circles' punched from 'Very Vanilla' card, two '1/2" Circles' of 'Soft Suede' and then two smaller circles made from 'Basic Black' card, using the 'Owl Punch'. His muzzle was made using the 'Round Tab Punch' from some 'Very Vanilla' card. his nose was made from some 'Basic Black' card using the 'Heart to Heart' Punch, his tongue was created from some 'Blushing Bride' card using the 'Heart Punch'. His ears were created from a 'Top Note' chopped in half and then glued in place!!

Now, you're wondering how this can hold a gift card, well here you go:

Simply run one more piece of 'Soft Suede' card through the 'big Shot' to create another 'Top Note', chop it in half and then run some 'Red Sticky Tape' along three sides of it to create a pocket.

This giftcard holder can fit sniggly into a 6"x6" envelope and definately personalises a simple gift card!! Hope you like the idea! You could of course create this dog in different colours, or  create a different character althogether with a little bit of imagination! Why not treat yourself to the 'Top Note Die', email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Tagtastic Just For You Card!

Today i have a card to share with you that i made for my Father-in-laws partner Elle. It was her birthday recently and i wanted to make a special card for her.

I began with a 'Pretty in Pink' cardbase and then stamped all over it using the circular stamp from the 'Artistic Etchings' stampset (using 'Melon Mambo' ink). The 'just for you' sentiment is from the brilliant 'Tagtastic' stampset - which is one of the new hostess stampsets from the new catalogue! I stamped this (using 'Melon Mambo') onto 'Whisper White' cardstock and then punched it out using the 'Decorative Label Punch'. I then punched out another 'Decorative Label, snipped it in half and layered the 'Whisper White' label ontop of it.

The large 'Whisper White' shape was created using my 'Big Shot' and the 'Top Note Die', by rotating the card around the die several times you can create different shapes! Next i ran some 'Melon Mambo' card through the 'Bigshot' using the 'Perfect Pennant Die'. Finally i stamped the 'All in a Flutter' butterfly onto some 'Whisper White' card using 'Melon Mambo' ink, i snipped this out, placed some 'Basic Pearls' down the centre and then used Stampin' Up! dimensionals to raise it!

I hope Elle liked this card and the gift we brought for her! I really enjoyed making it and playing with lots of the new Stampin' Up! goodies!

Want to have a little look at these products in the flesh and have a play?! Why not pop along to my FREE Craft Open House this Saturday. Everyone is welcome. Email me for details: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Halloween Treat Box - something special for the Trick or Treaters!

One final project to share with you following the halloween theme! A lovely 'Pillow Box' to pop a few sweets in to give out to any trick or treaters that may visit you this spooky halloween and it really was quick to make - so you could whip up a bulk load of these in no time at all!!

I ran some 'Night of Navy' cardstock through the 'big Shot' using the fab 'Pillow Box Die' and used a little bit of 'Red Sticky Strip' to stick it together!! I punched a 'Scallop circle' from some 'Pear Pizzazz' card, a 'Pumpkin Pie' '1-3/8" Circle' and a '1-1/4" Circle' from some 'Very Vanilla' Card.

Using a 'Sponge Dauber' i rubbed some 'Old Olive' ink around the edges of the 'Very Vanilla' circle and then stamped out the little bat from the 'Every Little Bit' stampset, using some 'Basic Black' ink and coloured him in using my 'Basic Gray' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. I layered up all of the components and glued them in place using my 'Tombow Glue' and constructed the 'Pillow Box'. Final stage was filling it up with some yummy sweets!!

I've really enjoyed creating all these halloween projects - i hope i have inspired you to have a go too! Don't forget tomorrow is the launch of the 4th Crafty Boots Challenge! Thanks to all the Crafty ThINKers who have already got involved. If not, why not? Why not enter the next challenge?! I look forward to seeing your entries!!

Count Dracula!

Another halloween special for you today! Again it uses the 'Top Note Die'. Using a similar technique to when i created the mummy and the frankenstein card! So today i have a Count Dracula card to share with you:

His face has been made from the new 'In Colour' 'Wisteria Wonder', which i created by running the card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die'. ('Sponge Daubed' with some 'Soft Suede' ink) His hair has been formed from a 'Basic Black' 'Top Note' which i chopped to just less than half, and then i punched two semi circles out of it using the '1-3/4" Circle Punch'. His eyes have been created from two 'Whisper White' '1-3/8" Circles', which i 'Sponge Daubed' with a little bit of 'Real Red' ink, his pupils have been made from two 'Basic Black' '1/2" Circles', and his eyelids from one '1-3/8" Circle chopped in half, 'Sponge Daubed' with 'Soft Suede' ink and then raised with some 'Dimensionals'. His nose has been created from from the 'Round Tab Punch', again 'Sponge Daubed' with 'Soft Suede' ink. His mouth has been hand drawn with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker', using the edge of a 'Top Note' as a template. I hand-snipped his fangs from some 'Whisper White' card, and rubbed a little bit of 'Real Red' on the edges to create some blood!!

His body has been made from the other part of the 'Basic Black' 'Top note'. I used some 'Whisper White' card to create his shirt and then some 'Real Red' 'Satin Ribbon' to create his tie. I arranged all of this onto a 'Concord Crush' cardbase!!

Hope you like the halloween makes - i have one more to share with you tomorrow - an idea of a treat you can give to your trick or treaters!

Trick or Treat?!

I'm having a bit of a halloween fest on CraftyThINKer this week! I've started this about the 31st and all those cute kids dressed up in spooky costumes. This year i have decided to make my own trick or treat gifts! I just love owls and again this project uses the 'Top Note Die':

I ran some 'Soft Suede' cardstock through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die' to create a topper for the 'Cello Bags'. I folded the 'Top Note' in half, punched out two 'Whisper White' '1-3/8" Circles' for the eyes. I used 2 'Basic Black' '1/2" Circles' to create his pupils, and a 'Soft Suede' '1-3/8" Circle' cut in half to create his eyelids and i raised these using 'Dimensionals'. The owls beak is made from 'Pumpkin Pie' card which i have punched using the '5 Petal Flower Punch'. I used one single petal from the punched flower to create his beak! I filled up a 'Cellophane Bag' with yummy sweets and then stuck it all in place using some 'Red Sticky Strip'.

There you go, a very simple AND cheap trick or treat gift!!!

I just love the 'Top Note Die' as it is so versatile!! It's not too late to get an order in. I'm putting through an order on the 22nd October and i can offer you free P&P! Get your order in today!!!

Topnote Mummy!!

Boo! Yep it's me and i'm back with another halloween project!! Today a spooky mummy - yes, made with the trusty 'Top Note Die'!

This mummy began life as lots of 'Very Vanilla' strips, some cut neatly and others ripped. I used a 'Sponge Dauber' to distress the edges of each strip, and then glued them all onto a piece of 'Basic Black', arranging them to leave a little gap for the mummys mouth! I then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note Die'. His nose was made with the 'Round Tab Punch', chopped in half, and his nostrils was created using the '1/2" Circle Punch', which i also 'Sponge Daubed' around the edges. His eyes were created the same way as yesterdays Frankenstein card. Two 'Whisper White' '1-3/8" Circles, his eyelids are made form one Very Vanilla' '1-3/8" Circle' chopped in half, his pupils from two 'Basic Black' '1/2" Circles'. I stamped out the 'boo' using the 'Just Perfect Alphabet' stampset and then i punched out each individual letter using the '1/2" Circle Punch' and stuck those in place using 'dimensionals' onto an 'Early Espresso' cardbase!!

Isn't he scary! Why not treat yourself to this wonderful 'Top Note Die'? You can make so much use of it - there are tonnes of designs you can make with it - you'll wonder how you survived without it?! Check out the catalogue on the righthand side of my blog, jot up your wish list and email me over your order: amyjtidd@gmail.com

(I'm entering this into the 'Cupcake Craft Challenge')

I made this spooky guys head from 'Old Olive' cardstock ran through the 'Big Shot' uses the 'Top Note Die. His neck is also made from some 'Old Olive card. I 'Sponge Daubed' around the 'Top Note' with some 'Old Olive' ink. His hair had been made from a 'Concord Crush' 'Top Note' which i have shaped using my 'Paper Snips'. His eyes have been made from two punched '1-3/8" Circles' from 'Whisper White' and then to make his eyelids i chopped in half one 'Old Olive' '1-3/8 Circle'. His pupils have been made from '1/2" Circles' in 'Basic Black'. His nose have been made from a 'Round Tab Punch' (which has also been 'Sponge Daubed'. I've drawn on some scars with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. The bolts on his neck have been created from some 'Basic Grey' card that i have snipped into shape by hand. I drew the detail from a 'Basic Grey' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. I glued all the components together and then raised his head using some 'dimensionals'. All of this has been placed onto a 'Pumpkin Pie' cardbase (again 'Sponge Daubed' with some 'Old Olive' ink.)

I'm entering this make into the 'Cupcake Craft Challenge' which this week is 'halloween'. Hope everyone at cupcake likes it!!
