A 'Boho Blossom' Wedding Card!

Today is our friends Jen and Andy's wedding reception - they got married in Sicily a month or so ago and tonight it their UK wedding reception. Here is the card i made for them:

I started off by punching out lots and lots of little flowers from 'Very Vanilla' and 'Blushing Bride' cardstock and 'Beau Chateau DSP' using the 'Boho Blossom Punch'. I very patiently glued them into a heart shape onto a square of 'Crumbcake' card. I then mounted this onto a square of 'Very Vanilla' before gluing it onto a 'Blushing Bride' cardbase. I wrapped a knotted piece of 'Very Vanilla' 'Seam Binding Ribbon' around the spine of the card. Finally i stamped the 'for the newlyweds' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset using 'Crumbcake' ink onto some 'Blushing Bride' card, which i punched out using the 'Word Window Punch'. I secured this onto the cardbase using 'Dimensionals' to give it a 3D effect!

I hope Jen and Andy have an amazing evening!!

Pregnancy Congratulations!!!

Another baby related post!! Which seems quite fitting as today is our all day ante-natal class!!!

I found out last week that a crafty friend of mine Julie recently announced she is pregnant!! Yep, there must be something in the water!! Her baby is due in December!! I couldn't resist sending her a card i actually made sometime ago (and featured on this blog back in November last year) - a fab punch-art design, which i know as a fellow crafter she will appriciate!! It uses lots and lots of Stampin' Up! punches. It is not an original design - it's from a fab tutorial from Bonnie Mountford's blog. Although i did change the colours and the layout slightly. So heres the card:

The card base and 'DSP' used is 'Tangerine Tango'. We used some 'Soft Suede' to compliment it and layer the pregnant woman. The woman has been made from some 'Tempting Turquoise', 'Basic Black', 'Pink Pirouette', 'Daffodil Delight' and 'Chocolate Chip'. Her bag was made from 'Melon Mambo' 'DSP'. I used the following punches:
  • '1-3/8" Circle'
  • 'Large Oval'
  • 'Modern Label Punch'
  • 'Wide Oval'
  • 'Small Heart'
  • 'Ornament'
  • 'Owl Punch'
  • '1/2" Punch'
  • 'Itty Bitty Punch'
  • 'Boho Blossom'
  • Round Tab Punch'
Her face details have been drawn on with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and her rosey cheeks have been created some 'Rose Red' ink and 'Blender Pen'.

The sentiment is from the retired 'Occassional Quotes' stampset - as that's what i had to hand - but there's plenty of sentiments you could use in the current catty! I finished it off with a bit of 'Pumpkin Pie' 'Grosgrain Ribbon'.

This card took forever because of all the componants!!! But i hope you will agree it's a fabby card!

I wish Julie a healthy pregnancy!! Congratulations once again!!

Just for 'Ewe' : A Punny Punchart Sheep Card!

Hey all, have you missed me?! Sorry I didn’t post yesterday – I have had a completely hectic week – working frantically marking mock exams for my A2 students and also prepping for a mammoth crafty workshop tomorrow (with 24 ladies!!) But I’m back with a card to share with you now!!
Today I have a card to share with you that I made for my good friend Ruth, who has been going through a tough time recently. She is the queen of punchart so know she will appreciate my efforts :
Onto a 'Whisper White' cardbase, i mounted an 'Old Olive' piece of card and then a smaller square of 'Marina Mist' to create the sky. Next up i created this cute little sheep created using the ‘Owl Punch’ punched from ‘Basic Black’ card, white ‘Scallop Circle’  body and ‘Word Window’ legs!!
I have placed this little sheep on ‘Scallop Die’ hills created using the ‘Big Shot’ from ‘Certainly Cerlery’ and ‘Old Olive’ card. I have sprinkled some flowers punched from ‘Regal Rose’ card , using the ‘Boho Blossoms Punch’ each with a ‘Brad’ placed in the centre!

Finally on a piece of 'Whisper White' i stamped the sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set, selectively inking the 'just for' from the 'just for you' stamp and then handwriting the punny 'ewe' using a 'Stampin' Write Marker'
I’m totally In love with the ‘Owl Punch’ it is completely versatile and can be used in so many ways!! I CAN’T wait to show you more projects that I have made with it!
I you would like to make an order, check out the catalogues on the righthand side of this blog and then email me your order: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Schools out for Christmas!!! Woo hoo!

It's official! It's Christmas!! Today was the last day of term - so just 1/2 a day of teaching, followed by christmas nibbles and then a lovely pub lunch and a spot of christmas shopping with my good friends Ruth and Hannah!!!

Today i have a smaller version of the card that i shared with you on Tuesday:

This cardbase has been made from some 'Whisper White' cardstock. I punched lots of branches (using the 'Two-Step Bird Punch') from 'Old Olive' card, as well as lots of flowers (using the 'Boho Blossom Punch') from 'Rich Razzleberry' card. All of these pieces were arranged on the card before gluing them down, with some 'Basic Pearls' placed in the centre of each flower! The sentiment was stamped from 'Rich Razzleberry' ink using 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' stampset. Finally i ran some 'Rich Razzleberry' 'DSP' through the 'Big Shot' using 'Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die' to create the cute butterflies and placed some teeny tiny  'Basic Pearls' to create their bodies!!

This was another card i made to pop in the card totes that i'm giving away as Christmas gifts!!!

Have a great weekend!

Happy 60th Birthday Card!!!

Hi all, i hope you're all having a great week and enjoying the countdown to Christmas!! Sorry for the late post today but i have been super busy prepping for a craft workshop that i'm doing for a local Rainbows group tomorrow!!

Today i have a card to share with you that was made on Sunday - you may have remembered from Sundays post that i had a really crafty day with Jade in the morning and my friend Lucy in the afternoon. This card was designed by Jade and then made by Lucy!!

This card has been created by folding over an A4 piece of 'Whisper White' cardstock. We punched lots of branches (using the 'Two-Step Bird Punch' from 'Old Olive' card, as well as lots of flowers (using the 'Boho Blossom Punch') from 'Rich Razzleberry' card. All of these pieces were arranged on the card before gluing them down, with some 'Basic Pearls' placed in the centre of each flower!

The 60 has been created using my 'Big Shot' and the 'Timeless Alphabet Dies', from 'Rich Razzleberry' Card. The 'Happy', 'Birthday' and 'th' have all been selectively stamped onto the card using a 'Rich Razzleberry' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and a stamp from the 'Happiest Birthday' set.

Finally we can some 'Rich Razzleberry' 'DSP' through the 'Big Shot' using 'Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die' to create the cute butterflies and placed some teeny tiny  'Basic Pearls' to create their bodies!!

Lucy is a primary school teacher and this card has been made to give to her headmistress for her birthday and will be signed by all the staff! I hope they all like the card!! Well done Lucy - it is a beautiful card - i'll make a crafter of you yet! And thanks once again to Jade for designing a card that i will be making again and again!!!

Just Believe Notelet Gift Box

Last week i shared with you a lovely gift idea - a box with a set of handmade cards featuring the 'Just Believe' stampset. Today i have a similar project - a cute little box with a set of notelets:

Here's a close up of the beautiful box. Created with 'Early Espresso', 'Marina Mist' and 'Whisper White' cardstock:

The image and sentiment are both from the 'Just Believe' stampset, and have been inked in 'Marina Mist' and 'Chocolate Chip', a couple of 'Basic Rhinestones' have been placed in the centre to add a bit of bling!!

Heres a pic of the box open:

This box is known as a pizza box, there are plenty of templates online if you would like to create one of these.

And now for the cute little notelets:

An 'Early Espresso' cardbase, the image has been stamped several times with 'Early Espresso' ink. Some 'Whisper White' 'Satin Ribbon' has been wrapped around. The Friends sentiment has been stamped onto some 'Whisper White' card using 'Early Espresso' and 'Marina Mist' 'Stampin' Write Markers' and then hand-snipped. Finally a teeny tiny 'Basic Rhinestone' has been placed in the centre of the flower.

This second notelet is a 'Crumb Cake' cardbase. The image has been stamped using 'Early Espresso' ink, with some 'Basic Rhinestones' to bling it up! The sentiment was stamped onto some 'Marina Mist' card, punched out using the '1-3/4" Circle Punch', scrunched up a bit and placed on a strip of 'Whisper White' card, edged with the 'Eyelet Border Punch'.
This final notelet has been made from 'Marina Mist', the image (using 'Marina Mist' ink) has been stamped onto 'Whisper White' card, the thankyou sentiment was then inked over it using 'Early Espresso' ink (layering up is easy using a 'Stamp-a-ma-jig') This was layered onto some 'DSP'. The cute little flower was punched out using the 'Boho Blossom Punch', and placed a 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre.
I think you'll agree this little notelet box gift is another fab project showcasing the 'Just Believe' stampset. A Stampin' Up! colleague of mine Jade came up with this super little project - isn't she clever!!!

If you would like to purchase any of the materials used in this project - or any other Stampin' Up! products drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com It's not too late to get your orders in for Christmas!!

Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus Punch-art!

Hi guys, another punch-art special for you today! I'm really getting into punch-art crafts - it is so fun to get all my punches out and have a play. The great thing is if you're not feeling overly creative there are some AMAZING punch-art tutorials online and most of these are posted by lovely generous crafters who post these free of charge!

As soon as i saw this tutorial online on a website called Punch Art Addiction - i just knew i had to have a go. So over half-term when i was away with my friend Ruth we dedicated an afternoon to making this Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus card:

The cardbase is 'Very Vanilla' (6"x6") with some 'Early Espresso' and 'Crumb Cake' layered ontop. The Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus are made out the following colour card: 'Night of Navy', 'Not Quite Navy' 'Baja Breeze', 'River Rock', Chocolate Chip' and 'Pirouette Pink' and have been created using the following punches: 'Ornament Punch', 'Wide Oval Punch, 'Large Oval Punch', 'Full Heart Punch' , 'Round Tab Punch', 'Butterfly Punch', 'Word Window Punch', '1/2" Circle Punch'
'1/4" Circle Punch', 'Scallop Circle Punch', 'Owl Punch' and 'Boho Blossom Punch'. I drew the facial features on with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and some 'Dimensionals' to raise their noses. Finally i wrapped a little bit of 'Chocolate Chip' 'Grosgrain Ribbon' to create Josephs belt! I decided not to put a sentiment on the front, opting instead to put the lovely 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from 'Contempo Christmas' in the centre of the card.
Here are both mine and Ruths creations together:
If you would like to have a go at this card pop over to  'Punch Art Addiction' to access the full tutorial! And if you want to purchase any punches to get creating your very own punchart why not put through an order with me! Have a look at pages 116 - 119 of the catalogue on the right to view the full range. Write out your wish list and email it over to me: amyjtidd@gmail.com Happy creating!!

More Punchart - a card for a pregnant lady!

Hiya to all my CraftyThINKers. Hope you are all ok, i'm sure you're relieved it is Friday! I'm still not well, so today i have another card that we made on our recent craft retreat to the Isle of Wight.

This card is a punchart card - that uses lots and lots of Stampin' Up! punches. This is not an original design - we printed off a fab tutorial from Bonnie Mountford's blog. Although we did change the colours and the layout slightly.

Ruth also had a go at making this card so here's our cards together:

Why not treat yourself to a few punches and have a go at some punchart?! Not all designs are as complicated as this one. Check back at some of my previous posts to see other punchart creations (see yesterdays post where i made a punchart christmas tree)

If you would like to make an order i'm offering free P&P (usually £4.95) on orders over £50 until the 7th November. Email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Using 'Contempo Christmas' to make a non-Christmas card!

Hi all, hope you're all having a good week! Last thursday i visited a crafty friend of mine Jade. She was holding a Stampin' Up! workshop to celebrate the launch of the new catty and she had come up with a completely inspirational idea to share for her make and take project!

She used the fantastic value 'Contempo Christmas' stampset:

But in a completely unconventional way! She made a birthday card with it - showing the complete versatility of the Stampin' Up! stampsets. So here is the fab card that we made:

The card base is 'Whisper White', we then layered a piece of the new 'In Colour: 'Pool Party' on top. Notice that there are notches in the corners of this card piece, that has cleverly been created using the 'Boho Blossoms Punch'. On the piece of 'Pool Party' card we stamped the 'happy birthday dear you!' sentiment (using 'Island Indigo' ink) that is from a new hostess stamp set 'Happiest Birthday Wishes'.

Next we cut pieces of 'Island Indigo' and 'Whisper White' card - again using the 'Boho Blossoms Punch' to create small notches in the corners. Next on a scrap piece of 'Whisper White' we stamped out three baubles (from the 'Contempo Christmas' set, using 'Island Indigo' ink. We cut all three out by hand (you could use the 'Ornament Punch' to make this quicker), folded them in half and then glued them altogether to create a 3D effect. This created the hot air balloon! To create the basket we used a 'Chocolate Chip' 'Stampin' Write Marker' to colour in just the Christmas tree base!! Such a clever idea! We cut this out and used a 'Dimensional' to raise this. Finally using the 'Stampin' Write Marker' we drew the adjoining ropes!

This is such a clever idea! I just love it when you find an alternative use for products! I always think it is such a shame to buy lovely Christmas stamp sets and then only use them for a couple of months a year! So why not have a look through your christmas stampsets and see if you can find any alternative uses for them!

Want to come along to a Stampin' Up! workshop? I'm holding one at my house this weekend. You're welcome to come along. Email me for details: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Crafty Boots Challenge: Zoo!

Yep! It's that time again - the launch of another Crafty Boots Challenge! This fortnight their is a Zoo theme to challenge your creativity!! Here is my design team entry to inspire you, using Stampin' Up! products of course!!!

I totally love 'Punch-Art' creations and created this lovely lion using my collection of Stampin' Up! punches, cardstock and my paper snips, and a sentiment from the (sadly retired) 'Fun and Fast Notes'.

The lion has been created from some 'Peach Parfait' and 'Chocolate Chip' cardstock. The lions head was created from a '1-3/8" Circle', his muzzle was created from two '1/2" Circles' (which i speckled with dots created with my 'Chocolate Chip' 'Stampin' Write Marker'), his nose is created from a small heart punched from the 'Owl Punch', his ears from the '5 Petal Flower Punch', his mane from the 'Scallop Circle Punch', his body from a '1-3/4" Circle', his tail was snipped from a '1-1/4" Circle' and the end of his tail was created from a small flower from the 'Boho Blossom Punch'.

The grass was created from a strip of 'Old Olive' and a strip of 'Pear Pizzazz' which i have snipped over and over again using my paper snips. The tree trunk was created from some 'Early Espresso' card which i snipped into shape by hand, and i punched out the branches from green cardstock, using the 'Two-Step Bird Punch' .

I stamped the sentiment (from 'Fun and Fast Notes' onto some 'Whisper White' cardstock, punched it out using the 'Decorative Label Punch' and cut it in half!

I layered it all up onto a 'Bashful Blue' cardbase!!! So please with this card and it reminds me of my Tanzania trip back in July!! I'm definately planning on creating some more African inspired punch-art cards, so watch this space!!

If you like the products featured on this blog then why not make an order, i accept all UK orders, and often have exclusive special deals for all my customers! A Stampin' Up! catalogue can be found on the right-hand side of this blog. If you have any questions, or would like to place an order then just email me: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Every Little Bit!

Ok, so Monday is over, the rest of the week should be plain sailing! Today i have a lovely card to show you created by a crafty Stampin' Up! pal of mine Jade! She gave me this card at a recent training event, and it features the stampset 'Every Little Bit' - WHICH WILL BE IN THE NEW CATTY! Now, this is a stampset that i have completely and utterly overlooked, but Jade has made some beautiful creations with this set! So here's her creation:

She has used 'Pumpkin Pie' and 'Tangerine Tango' DSP from the 'Brights Stack' for the panels which she have then mounted on 'Crumb Cake' cardstock. She stamped the little dog and cat from the 'Every Little Bit' stampset and coloured them in using a 'Chocolate chip' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. She carfully snipped them out and raised them using 'Dimenstionals'. Jade embellished the with a flower (punched using the 'Boho Blossom Punch', with a 'Basic Pearl' placed in the centre and some of the leaves from the 'Two-Step Bird Punch'.  All of this was arranged onto the 'Whisper White' cardbase. the 'amour' sentiment is from the 'Clearly For You' set and Jade also used the 'n' from the 'no 5' stamp fromt he 'Clearly For You' set in the top righthand corner. Such a lovely original card, i'm sure you'll agree!!

Home is where the heart is!!

Hi all, hope you are having a great weekend! Today i have no plans other than to craft ... BLISS! As you may be aware i have recently been appointed a member of the Crafty Boots Challenge DT, and i'm now working hard on my projects!! I can't wait to share them with you and i hope you all join in!!

Now today, as promised i have the Welcome Home card that i made for my sister Jamie (She has recently been on a month long holiday to Australia - and i missed her lots!) My sister is a bit of a home-bird and so i knew this card was perfect to welcome her home!:

Now i can't take credit for this beautiful card, i case'd it from a blog called 'In the Palms', check this blog out - it even has a tutorial on how to create it!! (I did slightly alter the dimensions) The cardbase used is 'Early Espresso', the roof and base of the card is 'Whisper White', which has been ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'. I have used my '1-3/8" circle Punch' to create the 'Soft Suede' circle and the bid has been created out of 'Sweet and Sour DSP' using my 'Two-Step Bird Punch'. The branch has been made out of a little scrap of 'Pear Pizzazz' also using my 'two-Step Bird Punch' and the flower was created out of a scrap of 'Melon Mambo' and the 'Boho Blossom Punch' - i have placed a 'Basic Pearl' in the centre! The heart at the top of the chimney has also been created from a scrap of 'Melon mambo' and the 'Heart to Heart Punch'.

Hope you like the card!! Have a great weekend!!

Sheepishly CASE'd

I love looking at other peoples crafty blogs and collecting up inspirational ideas. As soon as i saw a card on Cate's Blue Angel Craft's blog i knew i had to try it!!

Yesterday i posted a butterfly card created using the '5 Petal Flower Punch' in a very different way, this card also uses the same punch in a completely creative way! To create a cute little sheep!! Here it is:

A 'Night of Navy' cardbase. The sky has been created with a piece of 'Bashful Blue' card. The grass has been created by tearing some 'Pear Pizzazz' 'DSP' from the Level 1 'In Colours DSP'. To create the tree i handcut some 'Early Espresso' card to make the truck, and punched some 'Scallop Circles' out of the same 'In Colours DSP' to create the leafy part of the tree!! The Sheep himself has been created from a 'Whisper White' Scallop circle to create his body, a 'Basic Black' '5 Petal Flower Punch' which has been snipped into two pieces (2 petals making his legs, and the remaining three petals make his head! Clever hey!?!) His hair has been punched out from some 'Whisper White' using the 'Boho Blossom Punch'.

A very clever use of a flower punch i think!!! I love it when you find a completely different use for a piece of kit!! Total crafty satisfaction!!!
