Today is my step-mums birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARG!! I made her a card in her favourite colour, which translates in Stampin' Up! language: 'Wisteria Wonder'.
I have Jade to thank for this design as i made it at her 'Card For All Occassions' card class. On a 'Wisteria Wonder' base we 'Clear Embossed' the 'Medallion' image twice to create a beautifully elegant background. (Notice i placed a large 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre of one of the medallions.
We then ran some beautiful 'Whisper White' 'Organza Ribbon' around the card tying it in a knot at the front.
Next we ran some 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note', then ran it through again using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' to add some texture. We added some 'Basic Rhinestones' to the centre of the flowers, and stamped the sentiment from the 'Petite Pairs' set using 'Wisteria Wonder' ink. Finally we cut aroud the perforated edge of the 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' and then mounted it onto another 'Top Note' cut from silver mirror card (non-stampin' up) and glued this over the ribbon to secure it into place!
I hope Marg likes this card and has a brilliant day!!

Silver Embossed Wedding RSVP Card!
Hey all, seems like 2012 is a life-changing year for many - with lots of babies due and lots of people tying the knot!! Our friends Jen and Andy got married on Friday in Sicily!! Lucky them!! I've already seen a few pics and they looked stunning on their day! They're off on honeymoon for three weeks now, but have arranged a second wedding reception on their return. So today i have the RSVP card i sent to them to confirm our attendance (assuming baby Tiddlywink doesn't make an early arrival!!)
This card was super quick to make and would be a perfect make for wedding invites!! (I have to be honest this card was made at Jades and i was being incredibly lazy - Jade was sitting next to the 'Heat Embossing Tool' and so she actually pretty much made this card on my orders!! So thanks Jade!!) Onto a piece of 'Rich Razzleberry' cardstock 'we' stamped the 'Medallion' stamp using 'Versamark' and then embossed it with 'Silver Embossing Powder' and then fixed it using the 'Heat Embossing Tool', placing a 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre! The RSVP sentiment is from the wonderful 'Wedding Sweet' set, which has also been heat embossed! This was mounted onto a 'Basic Grey' cardbase!!
Are you planning on making or designing your own wedding invites? Why not email me and i can offer you some hints and advice!! amyjtidd@gmail.com

Dasher Card
You can't make a batch of christmas cards without making at least one with a reindeer on. So here's a card i made last year using the lovely 'A la Carte' 'Dasher' stamp:
This is the main card design i used for Christmas 2010 - i was so happy with them, they look so elegant and i recieved a lot of praise for them, although i can't take all the credit here, they were actually designed by my upline Cate. (I have been a bit cheeky and copied the instructions to make this card from Cate - why invent the wheel!)
3. Stamp using the Medallion background stamp on the 4 corners of the card

The method is pretty straightforward although there are a number of steps:
1. Stamp Dasher in Early Espresso on a piece of Whisper White CS and cover with a strip of scrap paper
2. Using Bashful Blue on the En Francais background stamp, stamp this randomly over the whole of the base, get rid of the scrap paper
3. Stamp using the Medallion background stamp on the 4 corners of the card
4. Using a Sponge Dauber, dab Bashful Blue ink around the edge of the CS
5. Using a different Sponge Dauber, dab Champagne Mist shimmer paint around the edge of the card
6. Stamp a sentiment using Night of Navy ink
7. Stick the Whisper White CS to a piece of Night of Navy CS and punch 2 large holes using a crop-a-dile
8. Thread Whisper White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon through the holes and tie a knot. Trim the edges and then adher to the Bashful Blue card base.

Glitz and Glamour
Hi all! I'm having a lovely crafty morning and already made several projects. The first thing on my crafty to-do list is to make a card for the new challenge website Glitter Geeks. Why not check it out for yourself?!
The challenge for this week is to make a card with the theme: 'Glitz and Glamour'. So here's my entry:
To create this card i have used one of my most favourite stamps - the beautifully elegant 'Medallion' stamp, which i have black embossed onto a piece of 'Whisper White' cardstock. I chopped this image up into three pieces, then mounted each third onto 'Real Red' card. I have then arranged this onto a 'Basic Black' cardbase. I have also placed a very blingy 'Basic Rhinestone' to the centre of the 'Medallion'.
Hopefully this card is more than suitable for the very first Glitter Geeks challenge. I just want to say the very best of luck to all the girls at Glitter Geeks. I know they have worked very hard on setting up their new challenge site. Can't wait for next weeks challenge!

Shock Horror... a card made without the BigShot!!
Hi all! Hope you are all having a fab bank holiday weekend! I have had a lovely day, i've been out for lunch today with my Nan, sister Jamie and my cousin Kirsty! I had planned to get some crafting done today but so far that hasn't happened, but i guess i've got a whole week to get plenty done!
Recently every card or project that i have made has used the wonderful 'Big Shot', however i don't want to neglect those of you who haven't (yet) treated themselves to a die cutting machine... so today i have a non-bigshot card to share with you:
I have used the 'resist emboss' technique to create this card. I started off with a piece of 'Very Vanilla' cardstock, and 'Versamarked' the 'medallion' stamp on to it. I then sprinkled some 'clear embossing power' on and heat embossed it. I then used a 'Sponge Dauber' and some 'Rich Razzleberry ink to sponge all over the image and embellished the image with some 'Basic Pearls'. I mounted this onto the 'Whisper White' card and then mounted all of it onto the 'Early Espresso' cardbase. I finished off this card with a strip of 'Early Espresso' card, which i edged with the 'Eyelet Border Punch' and then ran it through the 'Crimper' a little piece of 'Silver Elastic Cord'.
I'm really pleased with this card - i'd love to know what you think. Please leave a comment. Have a fab bank holiday Monday.xxx
