Wedding Invite Delight...

So, i have had quite a few people contacting me recently asking about wedding invites and ideas, so i thought i would share with you a few simple designs i have worked on for another client... i had an open brief - vintagey design, blue and green colouring:

The cardstock used is 'Baja Breeze', 'Whisper White' and a little strip of 'Pear Pizzazz', the use of the wonderful 'Bella Toile' stamp, a 'Pear Pizzazz' inkpad and some 'Baja Breeze' 'Seaming Ribbon', a little bit of elbow grease and you have yourself some coordinating wedding stationary! Here's some close ups, they look a bit plain at the moment but whizz your card through a printer and hey presto!:

Invitation and RSVP cards:

Placecards:

Favour Boxes:

(Made with the lovely 'Big Shot' and the 'Pillow Box Die'.)

Fun and Fast Notes: Happy Birthday Wishes

Another card here using the wonderfully versatile 'Fun and Fast Notes' stampset. This time a birthday card:

Starting life as a plain 'Very Vanilla' cardbase, i used the fab 'Bella Toile' background stamp and some 'Rich Razzleberry' ink to make this far more elegant! I stamped the birthday cake and sentiment in 'Rich Razzleberry' ink onto 'Very Vanilla' card, coloured the cake in with my 'Stampin' Write markers' and then mounted it onto a piece of 'Rich Razzleberry card'. Finally i placed some 'Basic Pearls' onto the corners to add a bit of bling!

Belated Anniversary Wishes: Poppet and Dan!

One for my bestest friends Laura (Poppet) and her hubby Dan got married on the 19th June 2010, so yesterday was their first wedding anniversary! Because of the Father's Day clash i have had to post their card today. Here's the card that i made for them:

The cardbase is 'Pink Pirouette', which was folded like a usual card and then i folded the front over a second time to create a slightly quirky card style. I ran the front panel of the card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder' to add a bit of texture to this card. I next ran a piece of 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' with the 'Top Note Die'. Using the beautiful 'Bella Toile' background stamp i stamped the whole of the 'Top Note' with 'Crumb Cake' ink. Using 'Pretty in Pink' ink i stamped two butterflies (created by the A La Carte stamp 'All in a Flutter') The 'Happy Anniverary' sentiment is from the 'Something to Celebrate' stampset and has been inked with 'Early Espresso'.

I have placed a second 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' inside the card to create an insert.

I hope Laura and Dan had a wonderful first anniversary and celebrated in style! I can't believe how grown up we all are now... less than one month until mine and my hubby's first anniversary - unbelievable!

Decorative Label Pillow Box!!

Hiya everyone!! What a crazy day in blogger land! 'Blogger' has been out of action for a while ... luckily it hasn't affected my posts, but it looks like a couple of your lovely comments have gone missing... which is a shame.

Anyway, just a quick post today! A little 'pillow box' made with my 'Big Shot'.

The cardstock used here is 'Crumb Cake', before constructing it, i firstly stamped the template, with the 'Bella Toile' background stamp and 'Crumb Cake' ink. I then punched a window out of it using the 'Decorative Label Punch' and stuck a piece of acetate over it using 'Red Sticky Tape'. The box was then constructed and finished with a little piece of 'Early Espresso' 'Satin Ribbon'. I think this would be a perfect little box for a wedding favour, or to place a couple of yummy chocs in as a table gift at a dinner party!! A very quick, but elegant make!!

The Mini Catalogue is Here ... and there's a new BIG SHOT in town!!

I'm so excited! Finally the Mini Catalogue is here and it includes lots and lots of AMAZING NEW PRODUCTS for us all to fall in love with!!

Probably the biggest and most exciting item in the catalogue is the 'Sizzix Big Shot' for Stampin' Up! The 'Big Shot' is a sturdy manual die cutting machine used to die cut materials for use on crafts on all your craft projects. You'll love what the 'Big Shot' machine can do for you!
The great thing about the 'Stampin Up!' 'Big Shot' is:
  • You can use the 'Big Shot' to create projects quickly and easily. You can cut out intricate designs, plus  create multiple cut outs at the same time. (Great for example if you need to make lots of wedding favours!)
  • The Stampin’ Up! 'Big Shot' line features exclusive designs that can’t be found anywhere else!
So today i want to share with you probably my most favourite 'Bigz Die' the pillow box:

The use of this die is endless!! But the most obvious use for this 'Die' is for wedding favours!! You can cut out five of these at a time! So all of a sudden a time consuming task becomes a very speedy process! The 'Big Shot' machine cuts out the shape, scores the box and creates perforated lines all in an instant! They are so quick to construct! Heres a close up of each of these boxes with a brief description of each:

This first pillow box uses 'Basic Black' cardstock. I have used the 'Bella Toile' background stamp and white embossing powder to create the design. This pillow box has been finished with some 'Whisper White Organza Ribbon'

This second pillow box uses 'Bashful Blue' cardstock. The flower has been constructed by gluing alternating 'Scallop punches' of 'Bashful Blue and 'Early Espresso' card, with a 'Basic Rhinestone' placed in the middle. This box has been finished with a small snip of 'Early Espresso' 'Satin Ribbon. I have also edged the box with a 'Sponge Dauber' and 'Early Espresso' ink!

This final pillow box is using 'Rose Red' card stock. The butterfly has been stamped on 'Whisper White' cardstock using the stamps from the 'Flight of the Butterfly' stampset, using 'Pink Pirouette' and 'Rose Red'. The butterfly has been embellished with some 'Basic Pearls' and i have used a '2-way glue pen' and some 'Dazzling Diamond' glitter to bling it up! The box has been finished off using some 'Whisper White' Satin Ribbon!

I hope that these projects have got you as excited about the mini catalogue as i am! All the products in there are beautiful - I WANT THEM ALL! I will be sharing with you lots of projects using some of these products over the coming weeks! So please keep visiting my blog!! Have a good weekend! xxx

In LOVE with blender pens!!

Hi all, What a busy (but productive) day!! I've been rushing around all day, but now i can relax and spend the evening playing around with all my new crafty bits, especially my new 'blender pens'!! Oh my god! They are totally AMAZING! Basically they are a way of painting with your inkpads to create a beautiful watercolour effect!! The great thing about these pens is that they come in a pack of three and have a nib on each end, so you effectively have six pens! (They're on page 102 of the catalogue and this month feature in the March Frenzy sale with 20% off!!)

So i would like to share a couple of cards i have made using the 'blender pen' technique:

This first card is using the 'Bella Toile' stamp, which i have embossed using Stampin' Up! black embossing powder and heat tool. I have then coloured it in using Stampin' Up! inkpads and blender pens. The image has been mounted on 'Rich Razzleberry' card. I'm very pleased with the effect!! (The sentiment featured on card is from the recent Sale-a-bration promotion, and is sadly now unavailable.)

The second card i have to share with you is using the 'Happiness Shared' stamp set, the sentiment is from the 'Because I Care' stamp set, which is available as a hostess set. (Basically if you have a craft workshop at your home or having a massive craft splurge of your own and sales reach £150 or more you can earn free stamp sets and more money to spend in the catalogue!! Let me know if you are interested!)

Hope you like both the cards! Just before i go i would like to say hello to my new follower Liz! Lovely having a chat over facebook earlier! I hope you get some inspiration from my blog!! Thanks to everyone you has had a sneaky peek! I'd love to know what you think about my craft projects so please feel free to leave a comment! Until next time take care, Love Amyxx
