Today is my step-mums birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARG!! I made her a card in her favourite colour, which translates in Stampin' Up! language: 'Wisteria Wonder'.
I have Jade to thank for this design as i made it at her 'Card For All Occassions' card class. On a 'Wisteria Wonder' base we 'Clear Embossed' the 'Medallion' image twice to create a beautifully elegant background. (Notice i placed a large 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre of one of the medallions.
We then ran some beautiful 'Whisper White' 'Organza Ribbon' around the card tying it in a knot at the front.
Next we ran some 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Top Note', then ran it through again using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' to add some texture. We added some 'Basic Rhinestones' to the centre of the flowers, and stamped the sentiment from the 'Petite Pairs' set using 'Wisteria Wonder' ink. Finally we cut aroud the perforated edge of the 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' and then mounted it onto another 'Top Note' cut from silver mirror card (non-stampin' up) and glued this over the ribbon to secure it into place!
I hope Marg likes this card and has a brilliant day!!

Wedding Wishes For Martin and Tasha!
It's July - so of course another wedding! Today is my second cousin Martins wedding so here is the card i made for them to recognise their day:
I embossed a 'Shimmery White' cardbase using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' placing some 'Basic Pearls' in the centre of the flowers. I ran some 'Rose Red' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Textured Impression Embossing Designer Frames'. On a piece of 'Whisper White' i stamped the lovebird image from 'Easy Events' in 'Soft Suede' ink and coloured it in using a selection of 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I 'Sponge Daubed' around the edges of the card before setting it inside the frame. Finally the sentiment is also from 'Easy Events' inked it 'Rose Red', stamped onto some 'Whisper White' card and punched using the 'Word Window' punch. I layered this onto a rectangle of 'Rose Red' card raising it up using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect.
If you're new to crafting or looking for a new all rounder stampset why not consider 'Easy Events' it is a fantastic set which has an image and sentiment for all occassions:

Crafty Boots Challenge: Material!
Hey all, i'm back with this fortnights Crafty Boots Challenge. This time you are challenged to make a card featuring material on it somewhere. I loved this challenge as it was a great excuse for me to get out and play with my new Stampin' Up! fabric from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue': 'Twitterpated Fabric'.
I made this card for my cousins little girl Summer, who had her christening yesterday - i hope she had a lovely day!!
Onto a 'Marina Mist' square cardbase i glued in place a piece of 'Certainly Celery' card which i cut with my 'Big Shot' using the 'Large Scallop Die' and then embossed using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'. I placed some 'Basic Pearls' in the centre of each of the embossed flowers to add a little bling!!
To create the butterfly: I mounted some of the beautiful 'Twitterpated Fabric' onto some card using the 'Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' and then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die' (again, i couldn't resist adding some pearls!) Finally i printed the 'on your christening' sentiment using the computer onto some 'Whisper White' card, punched it out using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and then mounted it onto a 'Pretty in Pink' 'Scallop Circle' gluing it in place with a couple of 'Dimensionals' to give it that 3D effect!
If you would like any details on any of the products used, or would like to place an order then drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com
I look forward to seeing all your Crafty Boot Challenge entries!!

Wedding Invites!!
You may recall on several of my blogposts that i have mentioned that i have been helping out Jade's friend Tori create her wedding invitations. Well tonight we had yet another impromptu crafty get together to work on operation wedding invites... i think we have almost finished now and Tori has given me permission to share her beautiful designs with you all. So here they are:
As you can see Tori has gone with an autuminal theme. She used some 'Peach Parfait' card which has been embossed with the
'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'and then we've placed some 'Basic Rhinestones' in the centre of the flowers. You will see that the V&A has been inked in the co-ordinating inks ('Pear Pizzazz' and 'Peach Parfait') using the 'Monogram Sweet Alphabet' stampset onto 'Whisper White' cardstock, which has been punched out using the 'Decorative Label Punch' and then bordered on some 'Pear Pizzazz' card (also cut out using the 'Decorative Label' punch. All of this had been mounted on a 'Crumbcake' cardbase. Finally two holes have been punched at the bottom of the card using the trusty 'Crop-a-dile' and then some 'Pear Pizzazz' 'Seam Binding Ribbon' has been used to tie the cards up ready to be sent!! We have now as a group create over 70 of these cards!! Which sounds like a lot, but with an productive production line hasn't taken too long!!
Don't you just love the design!! Making your own wedding invites may sound daunting but with a little advice and some patience anyone can make them - and at leat you know you're going to get exactly what you want! (And it works out much cheaper too!!)

Happy Valentines Day!
Love is in the air!! It's Valentines Day!! What's great this year is that Valentines day falls on halfterm so i get to spend the whole day with my lovely hubby!!
Here's the valentines card i made for him, designed by the lovely Jade and made at her crafty coffee morning last week:
Isn't it such a completely cute card!! It started life as a 'Whisper White' cardbase, on which a piece of 'Real Red' card (ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder' has been layered on to. The sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set) was stamped in 'Real Red' onto a piece of 'Whisper White', punched out using the 'Word Window Punch' and stuck into place using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. Next we glued in place a 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' (created using the 'Big Shot') ontop of which we placed a 'Real Red' 'Top Note' (with the end trimmed off) We glued a 'Whisper White' '1-3/8" Circle' and then embossed the 'Top Note' and circle using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'. Finally we punched two owls from 'Basic Black' card using the 'Owl Punch' and two branches from the 'Two Step Bird Punch' to create the lovebirds!! (the branches were glued down to the card and then the owls were raised using 'Dimensionals'.)
I just love this card and design - i think that this card is completely versatile and with a change of sentiment could be a fab wedding, anniversary or engagement card!!
Wishing you a fabulous Valentines Day!! I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish my Grandfather in law John a very happy birthday - February is a busy birthday month - it is also my twin brother in laws birthdays tomorrow so the next few days will feature birthday cards on my blog - so keep visiting back daily!!

Wedding Acceptance Card!
Hi everyone. It's Thursday - not long until the weekend! Today i have another version of the card that i shared with you yesterday in a different colour combination and for a different purpose - although still wedding related!
It seems at the moment that everyone we know is going through life changing experiences - whether thats engagements, wedding, babies ... it all seems to be happening!! Which is great for me as it means more crafting opportunities!
Friends of ours Kim and Stu are getting married in April and we recently recieved a handmade wedding invitation inviting us to share their big day with them. I felt it was only right to respond with a handmade wedding acceptance card! So here it is:
The card is similar to the one i made yeaterday so i won't go through the process of how to make it again. The colour combo is 'Whisper White' and 'Concord Crush'. The materials i used to make this card are:

Happy Engagement!
Hi everyone. I hope you are having a better week than me. I've been really ill and not at work. Spending most of my time quite pathetically either in bed or on the sofa. But i'm actually feeling quite a bit better so hoping to be back to work tomorrow.
As a result of being housebound for the last four days i have several cards (and mini catalogues) that i have to pop in the post tomorrow. One of these cards is this engagement card that i have made for my crafty friend Stephanie Emma who got engaged to her partner Kieron last week! (So if Stephanie-Emma sees this blog post she will get a sneeky peek of the card!!)
I CASE'd this card from a fellow Stampin' Up! demo and crafty pal - Jade. I started off with a 'Whisper White' cardbase and then ran a strip of the suitably named 'Blushing Bride' cardtsock along the middle. Next i ran a strip of 'Whisper Wite' card through the 'Big Shot' using the fab 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' to create the raised flowers. I placed some 'Basic Pearls' in the centre of the flowers for a little bling. I punched a 'Scallop Circle' from some more 'Blushing Bride' card. I punched a 1'3/8" Circle from some 'Whisper White' (also ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' and then created some beautiful butterflies using my 'Big Shot' and the 'Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die' I glued all the butterflies into place and embellished with some more 'Basic Pearls'. I finished off the card with a Congratulations sentiment (from a retired stampset using 'Blushing Bride' ink) - to be honest i wish i had used my 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' because it's a little wonky - but that's a sign of a homemade card!!
I hope Stephanie-Emma and Kieron have a very happy engagement and enjoy all the wedding planning that they now have - they appear to have some very exciting ideas which i can't wait to hear more about! Congratulations once again (and i promise that i will pop it in the post tomorrow so you get the real thing ASAP!)
(If you like the look of any materials that have been used to make this card then why not jot down a wish list! Stampin' Up! sale-a-bration is happening VERY soon - 24th January - a fab time to make an order!! Keep an eye on this blog for details!!)

DCM Challenge - Flowers for May!!
Hiya all! Today i want to share with you a card i have submitted to the Daring Card Makers challenge, which this week was 'Flowers for May', you basically had to create a card which either had Hawthorn flowers or Lily of the Valley... I don't possess a stamp with either of these flowers and was adamant that i was going to use Stampin' Up! products so i improvised and this is what i came up with...
I used my 'Big Shot' and the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder' to emboss my cardbase. I then used 'Whisper White' ink and a 'Sponge Dauber' to create the Hawthorn flowers. I then used my 'Daffodil Delight' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. I then used some 'Rose Red' ink and a 'Blender Pen' to create the detail on the flower. The butterfly has been created using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Beautiful Butterfly Die'. I 'Sponge Daubed' the butterfly with some 'Whisper White' ink, and used some 'Basic Pearls' to create the body of the butterfly! The 'because i care' sentiment is from the level 1 hostess set of the same name, inked in 'Rose Red' and punched out using the 'Decorative Label Punch'. The card is finished off with some 'Rose Red' 'Seaming ribbon'. I hope you like!!
If you like what you see i would love for you to check out some of my other posts, and maybe even sign up as a follower! (I post a new crafty project everyday!!) xxx
