Parcel Gift Card Holder!

It's a weekend worth celebrating!! Not only is it a bank holiday weekend, which means everyone has more time off to chill and relax, there are also two birthdays to celebrate tomorrow - my brother Seb's, as well as my little cousin Callum's! So i have been very busy crafting in preperation and today i have a Parcel Gift Card envelope, inspired by Sue Bayliss (There's even a tutorial on there!!)

The card used for this is 'Real Red' and i have used 'DSP' from the 'Celebrations' collection. I have used a scrap of 'Pacific Point' to punch out a '1-3/8" Circle', placed a 'Real Red' 'Designer Button', with some 'Silver Cord' threaded through and tied a lovely big 'Real Red' 'Satin Bow' to place of the top!! You write your message on the back and place your gift card inside:

Notice i have punched half a circle out of the top, for easier access to the gift card and placed a small piece of velcro to open and close it!!

I'm entering this into the 'Cupcake Craft Challenge' (a great challenge site, which i have neglected for a while, as i have been away for most of the summer!) But now i'm back and ready to get involved!!

Check back over the next couple of days - i have some gadget related cards i have made for teenage boys birthdays to share with you!!

Have a great bank holiday weekend - i'm off to see Lee Evans tonight!! Woo hoo! Can't wait!!

A Flower Notepad...

Good evening everyone! Today i've been on a training course at the Royal Holloway University - such beautiful grounds and now i'm just on my way to zumba! Busy day! But before i go i want to share with you a little notepad that i have made:

This notepad started life as a 19p notepad from Wilkinsons. I simply covered it in some 'Melon Mambo' cardstock. I then stamped some 'Whisper White' cardstock using the 'Dots, Dots, Dots' stampset and some 'Daffodil Delight' ink. The flower was created from a variety of different 'Brights DSP' using the 'Fancy Flower Punch' and the '5-Petal Flower Punch'. I have placed a 'Brights' ' Designer Button' threaded with some 'Silver Elastic Cord' in the centre of the flower. Finally i tied some 'Grosgrain Ribbon' around! All of a sudden a 19p notepad looks much more attractive! Great to give away as a little gift to a friends, to pop in childrens party bags, as a stocking filler or to pop in your handbag!! I'd love to know what you think...

Shock Horror... a card made without the BigShot!!

Hi all! Hope you are all having a fab bank holiday weekend! I have had a lovely day, i've been out for lunch today with my Nan, sister Jamie and my cousin Kirsty! I had planned to get some crafting done today but so far that hasn't happened, but i guess i've got a whole week to get plenty done!

Recently every card or project that i have made has used the wonderful 'Big Shot', however i don't want to neglect those of you who haven't (yet) treated themselves to a die cutting machine... so today i have a non-bigshot card to share with you:

I have used the 'resist emboss' technique to create this card. I started off with a piece of 'Very Vanilla' cardstock, and 'Versamarked' the 'medallion' stamp on to it. I then sprinkled some 'clear embossing power' on and heat embossed it. I then used a 'Sponge Dauber' and some 'Rich Razzleberry ink to sponge all over the image and embellished the image with some 'Basic Pearls'. I mounted this onto the 'Whisper White' card and then mounted all of it onto the 'Early Espresso' cardbase. I finished off this card with a strip of 'Early Espresso' card, which i edged with the 'Eyelet Border Punch' and then ran it through the 'Crimper' a little piece of 'Silver Elastic Cord'.

I'm really pleased with this card - i'd love to know what you think. Please leave a comment. Have a fab bank holiday Monday.xxx
