So today a christmas card to share with you. For those of you who haven't visited my blog for a while i'm away at the moment on holiday, so i have scheduled a weeks worth of my 2010 christmas projects to give you some inspiration as i know that many people start their christmas makes early!
Todays card has been created using the 'Tree Trimmings' stampset (this set is great value for money and very versatile!!)
I have layered some 'Very Vanilla' and 'Real Red' card stock onto a 'Garden Green' cardbase and wrapped some 'Chocolate Chip' 'Grosgrain Ribbon' around.
On some seperate scraps of 'Very Vanilla' i stamped some tree decorations, from the 'Tree Trimmings' set and cut them out using my 'paper snips'.
I then stamped onto the main piece of 'Very Vanilla' decoration strings (also from the 'Tree Trimmings' set) and then sentiment (from a retired SU set) and then placed on the christmas decorations, raising them with a couple of 'Dimensionals'.
These little cards are perfect makes for work colleagues or school classes. You can create 3 cards this size from one sheet of A4! Complete value for money!!

Rockin Robin!
Yesterday i shared with you a cute little robin gift tag. Today i have another project to share with you using the 'Sponge Daubed' robin!!
You know sometimes, no matter how hard you try you can't find a present to suit, so you resort to that bottle of wine - such a versatile gift!!! Well here's a way to make them a little more personal, make a wine bottle gift tag.
For those of you who follow my blog regularly you'll know that i have shared one of these before (click here for instructions on how to make one) - well here's my christmas take on this project!
The card used for this project is 'Soft Suede'. I layered a piece of 'Very Vanilla' card and you will see that i have used a 'Sponge Dauber' and some 'Soft Suede' ink on the edges. The sentiment is from a retired SU set. The Robin has been punched from 'Very Vanilla' card using the 'Two Step Bird Punch' and i have 'Sponge Daubed' it using 'Early Espresso' and 'Real Red' ink, his wing has been raised using a 'Dimensional. His eye and beak has been drawn in using a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and the branches have been crreated from some 'Brights DSP'.
To hang this tag off the bottle, i have punched a '1-3/8" Circle' and bordered it with a 'Scallop Circle'. Here it is serving its intended purpose:
A perfect way to craft what can be a very impersonal gift!

Another Christmas Gift Tag!
Yesterday i shared with you a christmas gift tag - here's another one i used on my christmas gifts for 2010:
I started again with a simple, plain brown luggage tag (available from WH Smiths) and used a 'Sponge Dauber' and some 'Early Espresso' ink on the edges. Next i stamped (also in Early Espresso' the sentiment (which is from a retired SU set) and rippled some 'Real Red' 'Satin Ribbon' along the bottom.
I then cut out a square of 'Very Vanilla' card and 'Sponge Daubed' along the edges. The lovely robin has been punched from 'Very Vanilla' card using the 'Two-Step Bird Punch'. I then used 'Sponge Daubers' and 'Early Espresso' and 'Real Red' ink to turn it into the robin!! I used my 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker' to draw in his eye and beak! You may have noticed that i raised his wing using a 'Dimensional' and the branches have been punched out of some 'Brights DSP'. Isn't he a cutie!
To just finish it off completely i brough some 'Jingle Bells' from 'Paperchase' I love that sound, so christmassy!!

Another Day... Another christmas Project!
So yesterday i shared with you a tutorial to create a christmas gift bow, what else do you need to wrap the perfect christmas present - yep, you guest it a lovely christmas tag:
This tag started life as a simple brown parcel tag. I stamped the background with the cluster of snowflakes from the 'Serene Snowflake' stampset, using some 'Crumb Cake' ink. I used the 'Early Espresso' ink to stamp the 'Merry Christmas' sentiment (from the 'Contempo Christmas' set)
Next i stamped two baubles from the 'Contempo Christmas' stampset in 'Old Olive' and 'Real Red' and punched them out with the 'Ornament Punch' Finally i rippled some 'Real Red' 'Satin Ribbon' along the bottom to finish off the project!

I wish it could be Christmas everyday...
Hi guys, no sooner am i back from my travels i'm off again! Today i'm off to the Dominican Republic for a week with my lovely hubby! I'm so excited!!
So i'm afraid it's back to the scheduled posts. I thought i would share with you some of my christmas projects from last year. So today here's a bow made out of 'DSP' from the 'Christmas Jingle' scrapbook kit:
You can obviously use any DSP to make a bow like this, great little extra to give your gifts the edge!!
I used a tutorial from 'Splitcoast Stampers', to see this tutorial click here.
When i get back from my holiday i'm hoping to start my 2011 christmas cards... i know it sounds early but there's nothing worse than feeling stressed out as christmas is approaching so i like to get started early!

Jambo! I'm Back!
Hi guys! I'm back in the UK after an AMAZING four week trip to Tanzania! Did you miss me? It's unbelievable how much we squeezed into a short amount of time ... and yes i did manage to get a little bit of crafting done!! Including making some elephant dung paper! Here's the process of how to make it and a picture of me smashing up lots of elephant poo!:
When i get a moment i will definately have a play and make something special from the finished product! I also had the opportunity to meet a Masaai tribe and recieved a one-to-one jewellery making tutorial with one of the wives! Which was an amazing experience and a great opportunity to learn about another culture!
A highlight of the trip was the safari i went on whilst i was there and saw lots of wildlife, including hippos, lions, black rhino, zebras, buffalo, elephants and lots more:
Overall, one amazing month and i'm off on more travels tomorrow! Me and my hubby are off to the Dominican Republic tomorrow! Don't worry i have scheduled more posts - all of a christmas theme to keep you going until i return!!

A bottle bag makeover...
It's my step-dad's birthday today (i'm missing lots of birthdays, but hope to catch up with everyone when i get home) I gave him my 'Sailaway' card, click here to see it. I hope he likes it. (I also left him a bottle of Bicardi, which i'm sure he will appriciate also!!
A while back i picked up some bottle bags cheap from a card shop in town - 3 for £1 i think. But they look a bit plain, so i decided to give this bottle bag a quick makeover, simply using a 'Real Red' 'Scallop Circle', a 'Tempting Turqoise' 'Designer Button' and some 'Real Red' 'Satin Ribbon'. Here's the result:
I wanted to place a card inside, but was worried that it would fall out and get lost, so decided to seal up the bag with a 'Scallop Circle' (I stuck this down with 'Red Sticky Strip' to ensure it stayed sealed) Here's a close up:
Hope you have a great birthday John! Enjoy the booze!!
I'm back tomorrow from my trip to Tanzania - so will definately check in say hello and post a few pics!!
