Pregnancy Congratulations!!!

Another baby related post!! Which seems quite fitting as today is our all day ante-natal class!!!

I found out last week that a crafty friend of mine Julie recently announced she is pregnant!! Yep, there must be something in the water!! Her baby is due in December!! I couldn't resist sending her a card i actually made sometime ago (and featured on this blog back in November last year) - a fab punch-art design, which i know as a fellow crafter she will appriciate!! It uses lots and lots of Stampin' Up! punches. It is not an original design - it's from a fab tutorial from Bonnie Mountford's blog. Although i did change the colours and the layout slightly. So heres the card:

The card base and 'DSP' used is 'Tangerine Tango'. We used some 'Soft Suede' to compliment it and layer the pregnant woman. The woman has been made from some 'Tempting Turquoise', 'Basic Black', 'Pink Pirouette', 'Daffodil Delight' and 'Chocolate Chip'. Her bag was made from 'Melon Mambo' 'DSP'. I used the following punches:
  • '1-3/8" Circle'
  • 'Large Oval'
  • 'Modern Label Punch'
  • 'Wide Oval'
  • 'Small Heart'
  • 'Ornament'
  • 'Owl Punch'
  • '1/2" Punch'
  • 'Itty Bitty Punch'
  • 'Boho Blossom'
  • Round Tab Punch'
Her face details have been drawn on with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and her rosey cheeks have been created some 'Rose Red' ink and 'Blender Pen'.

The sentiment is from the retired 'Occassional Quotes' stampset - as that's what i had to hand - but there's plenty of sentiments you could use in the current catty! I finished it off with a bit of 'Pumpkin Pie' 'Grosgrain Ribbon'.

This card took forever because of all the componants!!! But i hope you will agree it's a fabby card!

I wish Julie a healthy pregnancy!! Congratulations once again!!

Outlined Occasions Valentine Card

Have you made your Valentine card yet?! If not then you really don't have long to get crafting!! Today i have a valentine card to share with you using the fab 'Sale-a-bration' stampset: 'Outlined Occasions' - maybe this card will give you some inspiration:

This card has all my favourite crafty elements - 'DSP', 'Punches', 'Stamping', 'Blender Pens' and 'Glitter'!!! Woo hoo! i love a bit of glitter!!!

So this card began like as a 'Basic Grey' cardbase. I layered a strip of 'Basic Grey' 'DSP' along the spine of the card. Next on a seperate piece of 'Whisper White' i stamped the 'Love' and 'be mine' sentiments using 'Basic Black' ink on the centre of the card. I coloured in the 'love' using 'Rose Red' ink and a 'Blender Pen'. Next i stamped 18 hearts out using the 'Small Heart Punch' from 'Real Red', 'Rose Red' and 'Pretty In Pink' card and glued them in place. Next i ran some 'Red Sticky Strip' down a small strip of 'Pretty In Pink' card and sprinkled over some 'Dazzling Diamond Glitter' and then put the card together!! I just love this card design so much!!

So get your craft stash out and make a card for the one you love!!! I have one more valentines card to share with you before the day - the card i'm giving to my hubby. (I made it at Jades crafty coffee morning and it features the fab 'Owl Punch' so make sure you keep visiting back to the Crafty ThINKer blog so you don't miss it!!!)

Don't forget you can place an order anytime, the easiest way is via email: amyjtidd@gmail.com and don't forget for every £45 you spend you get a 'Sale-a-bration' stampset or pack of papers for FREE!!!

Sale-a-bration - Another Sprinkled Expression Valentines Card!

Hey all, it's February - and almost Valentines day! Have you made a card yet?! My aim is to give you come inspiration using the fab new 'Sprinkled Expressions' stampset you can earn for FREE during the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration promotion!! This is my DT offering to the Crafty Boots Challenge:

Today's card uses traditional Valentine colours! I began with a rectangle of 'Whisper White' card and randomly stamped the heart stampset over it using 'Basic Black' ink, as well as the sentiment in 'Real Red' ink. On a piece of 'Basic Black' ink i stamped the heart stampset using 'Versamark' and then 'Heat Embossed' it using 'White Embossing Powder'. I rounded the corners using 'Corner Rounder Pucnh' and then mounted it onto a piece of 'Real Red' card (i also rounded the corners on this piece) I finished off this card by punched out three 'Small Hearts' from 'Real Red. All of this was placed onto a 'Basic Black' cardbase!!

Get you craft stash out and make a card for the one you love!!! Maybe you can use this card as inspiration and enter it into the Crafty Boots Challenge!

More Punchart - a card for a pregnant lady!

Hiya to all my CraftyThINKers. Hope you are all ok, i'm sure you're relieved it is Friday! I'm still not well, so today i have another card that we made on our recent craft retreat to the Isle of Wight.

This card is a punchart card - that uses lots and lots of Stampin' Up! punches. This is not an original design - we printed off a fab tutorial from Bonnie Mountford's blog. Although we did change the colours and the layout slightly. So heres the card:

This card took forever because of all the componants!!! But i hope you will agree it's a fabby card! Ruth also had a go at making this card so here's our cards together:
