My Baby Shower!!

Hey everyone, sorry for the late post tonight - i have had the most amazing day - today my sister, mum and my two bestest ever friends Lucy and Suzanne arranged a baby shower for me! An amazing number of people came and both myself and baby Tiddlywink was completely spoilt!!

Now i have to find homes for all the beautiful gifts that everyone brought!!

Today i have a card that Jade made for me today - a special baby shower card:

On a 'Bashful Blue' cardbase she has glued a piece of embossed 'Whisper White' card using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folder'. (notice she has used the a circle from the 'Owl Punch; to shape the corners!!) Onto this she glued a piece of 'Bashful Blue' card (again embossed using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folder' and the circle from the 'Owl Punch; to shape the corners, before gluing it downshe wrapped a piece of 'Whisper White' 'Satin Ribbon'. She stamped the 'for your shower' sentiment from the fab 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set inked in 'Daffodil Delight' and punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch', raising it up using 'Dimensionals', She glued a 'Designer Button' threaded with some 'Linen Thread',

Next she ran some 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' using the frame die from 'Textured Impression Embossing Set', which she then cut out. Finally she made the cute babygrow - using the wonderfully versatile 'Owl Punch' which she finished off with some 'Brads'.

I love this card!! Thankyou Jade!! And thankyou to all my lovely friends and family for making today so fabulous!! Love you all!!!

An Owl On The Fence!

Hey all! I couldn't resist making this card when i saw several versions of it whilst googling card designs using the fabby 'Owl Punch'!

I created the fence by stamping a piece of 'Crumbcake' cardstock using the 'Woodgrain' background stamp, using 'Early Espresso' ink. I have to admit i had overlooked this stamp in the catty - but i'm warming to it - as there are so many uses for it:

I then punched the card using the 'Word Window' punch to create the fence!!! I glued this onto a 'Baja Breeze' cardbase and then punched some leaves from 'Pear Pizzazz' card using the branch part of the 'Two Step Bird Punch' and glued these into place!

I punched a 'sun' out using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' from some 'So Saffron' card and glued it onto the base and then punched the owl from 'Early Espresso', Crumbcake' and 'Whisper White' card and some 'Baja Breeze' 'DSP'. I glued all the components together and used 'Dimensionals' to raise the owl and create a 3D effect! Finally i printed the sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset (obviously i used this one for Fathers Day although you could of course use any sentiment on this card!) and punched it out using again the 'Word Window Punch'.

If you'd like to order any of the products featured or have any questions about the products/ techniques i have used feel free to email me: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Embossing Tinfoil! A motorcycle card!

I love experimenting with techniques and products. I also love playing with everyday household items!! You may have seen on a previous blogpost i embossed tinfoil and used it on a card. My friend Jade saw this technique and it inspired her to create the card i want to share with you today, which we made at Jades recent craft class!!

Now i have to warn you - although effective - this card is fiddly and not necessarily a card for any perfectionist to attempt! The hardest part is neatly cutting the tinfoil, as it is very delicate, then you run it through the 'Big Shot' in this case using the 'Lattice Square Embossing Folder'. We layered this onto a 'Soft Suede' cardbase.

Next up we stamped the 'happy fathers day' sentiment from 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' (but you could of course use any of the other sentiments to suit the purpose of the card) and the 'it's your day' stamp from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' set, using 'Old Olive' ink onto 'Old Olive' card. We placed three silver 'Brads' along the edge and then glued this piece of card to the bottom of the card,

Finally we stamped the motorcycle image (using 'Early Espresso' ink) onto 'Whisper White' card, we coloured in the image using an 'Old Olive' 'Stampin Write Marker' and then cut this out using the 'Big Shot' using the 'Labels Collection Framelits Die' and then mounted it onto a bigger 'Label' cut from 'Old Olive' card.

Don't forget - you can order Stampin' Up! products through me - why not take a peek at the catty's on the righthand side of this blog. Write up your wishlist and email it over: amyjtidd@gmail.com

For My Grandad! A Framed Scrapbook Page

Today i have a framed scrapbook page to share with you that i made for my Dad for Fathers Day from bump!!

I brought the box frame (size 8" x 8") from The Range for a bargain price of £5.99!! I cut a piece of 'Cheerful Treat DSP' to size to create the backing. I used the 'Big Shot' and the 'Timeless Type Alphabet Dies' to cut out the letters from 'Whisper White' card and glued them into place. The patterns in the corners of the page were also created using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Swirls Scribble Die' - which i LOVE!!!

Finally i printed off three pics from Baby Tiddlywinks 3D scan onto photo paper, cut them to size and them mounted them onto a strip of 'Whisper White' card!

My Dad really liked his gift. Do you have a love ones birthday, or a special event coming up - why not have a go at creating a gift like this for them. Email me if you would like some advice on colours/ layouts etc: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Tag Scrapbook Tutorial!

Hey all, today i have a fab scrapbook idea to share with you - that a very talented crafty friend of mine, Kerry shared with me!! It's a brilliant 'Tag Mini Scrapbook':

Here's how you make one of these:

Stage 1:

Find three or more toilet rolls.

Stage 2:

Next squash them down flat!!
Stage 3:

Wrap these in coordinating 'DSP' - i have used 'Cheerful Treat DSP'
Stage 4:

Next punch a hole in the bottom of each tube using the 'Crop-a-dile' and then tie some ribbon to attach them!! (I used 'Pear Pizzazz' 'Ruffled Ribbon')

Stage 5:

Next make some tags from cardstock (I used 'Melon Mambo' card) and edged them with a strip of coordinating 'DSP'
I just think this is fabulous idea and really want to thank Kerry for sharing it with me... i think this design would be a lovely gift to give to friends and family - you can place some photos in them to make a beautiful personalised gift!! If you don't fancy making one for yourself why not check out Kerrys blog as she sells them at a really reasonable price and her designs are beautiful!!!

Crafty Boots Challenge: Sports! My Baseball Owl!

Hey all, back again with another Crafty Boots Challenge - this one has been set by Zoe and i have to be honest - i found it quite a tricky one. The theme for this fortnights crafty challenge is SPORTS! I looked through my craft stash and realised i had NO sports related stamps, so had to think outside the box... and heres what i came up with:

I have to be honest - i'm quite proud of this card - a completely original design it did take me some time to come up with!!

On a 'Very Vanilla' cardbase i mounted some glittery 'DSP' from the 'Holly Berry Bouquet' collection. I created two baseballs by punching some 'Whisper White' card using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' on which i drew on some stitching using a 'Cherry Cobbler' 'Stampin' Write Marker', i raised these up on the cardbase using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. The sentiment is from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set, inked in 'Cherry Cobbler' ink and then punched out using the fab 'Wrod Window Punch' (again raised up using 'Dimensionals')

Next i created the baseball owl using the amazing 'Owl Punch'! Here's a close-up:

I punched the owl out using 'Early Espresso' card, his eyes created from scraps of 'Whisper White' and 'Basic Black' card. His body has been punched out using 'Real Red DSP'. I punched some wings out using the 'Two-Step Bird Punch'. His baseball bat has been create from 'Crumbcake' cardstock which has been stamped using the 'Woodgrain' stamp (using 'Early Espresso' ink) I handsnipped it into a baseball bat shape. The baseball was created using the eye part of the 'Owl Punch' from some 'Whisper white' card, and then i drew on the stitching using a 'Real Red' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. Finally owls baseball cap was made using some scraps of 'Real Red' card cut into two semi-circles, on which i glued a small 'Whisper White' circle (eye from the 'Owl Punch') and the 'w' emblem is a 'Real Red' owl foot!

I mounted the baseball owl onto a couple of 'Scallop Circles' ('Whisper White' and 'Cherry Cobbler'.

I hope you like my baseball owl as much as i do!! I'm very proud of him!! I can't wait to see your sporty creations! Don't forget - if you would like to own the fab 'Owl Punch' for yourself you can order it through me!!
Email me you Stampin Up order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com (FREE UPS P&P on orders over £40 - usually £4.95 - if you mention CRAFTY BOOTS CHALLENGES when ordering!!) Online catalogues are available to view on the righthand side of this blog!

A Shirt Design Post-it Holder

Hey all! Something a little different for you today - not a card!!! But a post-it note holder!!

I found a fab tutorial to create an origami shirt scrapbook on @reddebs website - which has tonnes of brilliant mini scrapbook tutorials on it!! Check it out! So here it is:

The origami shirt has been made out of some 'Tempting Turquoise DSP' which has been cleverly folded! Click here for a direct link to the tutorial and view the dimensions! I glued some 'Rich Razzleberry' 'Designer Buttons' using some 'Red Sticky Tape'.

Inside the folded shirt i placed some post-it notes:

This is a fab gift project. Why not give it a try!! Don't forget Stampin' Up! has a fab offer on DSP this month - email me for details: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Pregnancy Congratulations!!!

Another baby related post!! Which seems quite fitting as today is our all day ante-natal class!!!

I found out last week that a crafty friend of mine Julie recently announced she is pregnant!! Yep, there must be something in the water!! Her baby is due in December!! I couldn't resist sending her a card i actually made sometime ago (and featured on this blog back in November last year) - a fab punch-art design, which i know as a fellow crafter she will appriciate!! It uses lots and lots of Stampin' Up! punches. It is not an original design - it's from a fab tutorial from Bonnie Mountford's blog. Although i did change the colours and the layout slightly. So heres the card:

The card base and 'DSP' used is 'Tangerine Tango'. We used some 'Soft Suede' to compliment it and layer the pregnant woman. The woman has been made from some 'Tempting Turquoise', 'Basic Black', 'Pink Pirouette', 'Daffodil Delight' and 'Chocolate Chip'. Her bag was made from 'Melon Mambo' 'DSP'. I used the following punches:
  • '1-3/8" Circle'
  • 'Large Oval'
  • 'Modern Label Punch'
  • 'Wide Oval'
  • 'Small Heart'
  • 'Ornament'
  • 'Owl Punch'
  • '1/2" Punch'
  • 'Itty Bitty Punch'
  • 'Boho Blossom'
  • Round Tab Punch'
Her face details have been drawn on with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and her rosey cheeks have been created some 'Rose Red' ink and 'Blender Pen'.

The sentiment is from the retired 'Occassional Quotes' stampset - as that's what i had to hand - but there's plenty of sentiments you could use in the current catty! I finished it off with a bit of 'Pumpkin Pie' 'Grosgrain Ribbon'.

This card took forever because of all the componants!!! But i hope you will agree it's a fabby card!

I wish Julie a healthy pregnancy!! Congratulations once again!!

Baby Congratulations! Welcome to the world Summer-Rose!

Hey all! Another baby related post at the moment - 2012 IS the year for babies it seems!! Last week an old friend of mine Daniel and his girlfriend Carly celebrated the arrival of their beautiful little girl Summer-Rose!! As each baby is born i get more and more excited about the arrival of Baby Tiddlywink - just over a month til due date now!!

So here is the card i made for Dan and Carly:

You'll notice it's a very similar design to the baby shower invites that i designed last month. The cardbase is 'Blushing Bride' which has been folded over the top. I punched a 1-3/8" Circle' at the top to create the babygrow headhole and then used the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and the 'Scallop Circle' to create the lace from some 'Melon Mambo' cardstock. The legholes were punched using a '1-3/4" Circle Punch' and the 'Scallop Circle' punch to create the lace.

Finally i stamped the cute teddybear from the 'Every Little Bit' stampset, using 'Melon Mambo' ink (onto some 'Very Vanilla' card) I punched it out using the '1-1/4" Circle Punch' and mounted it onto a '1-3/8" Circle' punched from 'Melon Mambo' card.

Congratulations to Dan and Carly once again on the safe arrival of their beautiful little girl!!

Crafty Meal Planner

As many of you probably know next month Baby Tiddlywink is due!! It's our first baby and i'm very keen to get into good organised routines before his arrival. One thing i have been trialing is bulk cooking and planning meals ahead so i customised a notepad to allow me to note down meal plans:

This was a pretty quick crfaty project. I simply covered a cheap notepad (from Wilkinsons) in 'Holly Berry Bouquet' and glued a strip of 'Cherry Cobbler' card along the top. Next up i used the 'Broadsheet Alphabet Stampset' to stamp the letters in 'Cherry Cobbler' and 'Pear Pizzazz' ink onto 'Very Vanilla' card. I punched them out using the '1-1/4" Circle Punch' and then mounted them onto '1-3/8" Circles'. Finally i glued a very strong magnet (brought on e-bay) to the back so i can pop it on my fridge and scribble meal plans and recipes in it. Fingers crossed it'll make me more organised! We'll see!!!

Another Extended Pillow Box!

Hey all! Yesterday i featured an 'Extended Pillow Box' made out of 'Blushing Bride' cardstock... today i have another 'Extended Pillow Box' to share with you, this one has been created from 'Baja Breeze' card:

Created from two 'Baja Breeze' 'Pillow Boxes' cut out using the 'Pillow Box Die' and the 'big shot', glued in place using 'Red Sticky Tape' and then some 'Twitterpated Fabric' wrapped around the centre'. The butterfly has been created from 'Twitterpated Fabric' mounted onto card and then ran through the 'Big shot' using the 'Beautiful Butterflies Dies', with some 'Basic Pearls' glued on to create the butterflys body. The butterfly has been mounted onto 'Whisper White' and 'Blushing Bride' shapes that have been cut out using the 'Labels Collection Framelits Dies'. (you may have noticed that i have ran the 'Blushing Bride' label through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka dot Embossing Folder' to add some texture!

The great thing about handcrafting is that you can make coordinating boxes and cards. You may have noticed that this box coordinates with the card that i shared at my 'Mini catalogue' launch party/ Scrapbook Crop demo last month:

(Click on the card image above to see how to make this card!!)

If you'd like to make an order email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com You can view the catalogues online - see the links on the righthand side of this blog!!

Blushing Bride Extended Pillow Box

Today i have an 'Extended Pillow Box' to share with you. 'Extended Pillow boxes' are actually really easy to create and are perfect gift boxes - especially for jewellery gifts.

This box has been cleverly made using two 'Pillow Boxes' which i cut out using the 'Pillow Box Die' and my 'Big Shot' from some 'Blushing Bride' cardstock! I glued them together using some 'Red Sticky Tape' and then wrapped some stripy 'Twitterpated Fabric' around the middle to hide the joins!

Next i used the 'Big Shot' and the 'Labels Collection Framelts Die' to cut out some labels using 'Baja Breeze' and 'Whisper White' card. I ran the 'Baja Breeze' label through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder' to add some texture.

I mounted some 'Twitterpated Fabric' onto some cardstock (using 'multipurpose adhesive sheets') and then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die' to create the butterfly, finishing it off by placing some 'Basic Pearls' down the centre of the butterfly!!

Anniversary Wishes!

June and July are always very popular wedding months - and so i have had lots and lots of anniverary cards to make. Today is Dave and Sarahs first wedding anniversary and here is the card that i made for them:

I embossed the bottom of a cardbase using my 'Big Shot' and the 'Adorning Accents Embossing Folder'. Next i glued a strip of 'Cherry Cobbler' card and 'DSP' from the 'Holly Berry Bouquet' collection. I stamped the 'Happy Anniversary' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset using 'Cherry Cobbler' ink (which i lined up using the fab 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' tool. Finally i punched two hearts out of 'Very Vanilla' and 'Cherry Cobbler' cardstock, using the 'Heart Punch', which i ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder'. I glued the 'Cherry Cobbler' heart onto the base and then raised the 'Very Vanilla' heart using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect!

Happy Fathers Day!!

Today is FATHERS DAY!! So wishes all the Dads out there a very happy day - i hope you all get spoilt rotten!

I couldn't resist making hubby a Fathers Day card from bump!! So here it is:

I have Jade to thank for this design as i CASE'd it from her last week when she came around mine for a crafty session!! On a 'Pool Party' cardbase i ran a strip of 'DSP' from the 'Beau Chateau' collection down one side. On some 'Whisper White' card i stamped the dad image and the baby image created using the 'All in the Family' stampset. (TIP: use a 'stamp-a-ma-jig' to line up the componants' of the set) I coloured these images in using a selection of 'Stampin' Write Markers' and then carefully snipped them out. I created the 'Daddy' by running some 'Marina Mist' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Timeless Type Alphabet Dies' and glued the images and letter into place on the cardbase. Finally i stamped the 'Happy Fathers Day' sentiment, from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set along the bottom of the card (using 'Marina Mist' ink). Finally i threaded some 'Linen Thread' through a 'Marina Mist' 'Designer Button' and then glued it into place on the top lefthand corner of the card!!

I hope my hubby (and every other Dad) has a lovely fathers day!!

Happy fathers Day! (From the Cats!!)

Ok ... yes, many of you will probably think that i'm incredibly sad to create this card for my hubby! But the cats are part of our family and every year since we've had them i have made a Father Day for him from the cats!!

On a 'Real Red' card base i mounted a piece of 'Just Add Cake' stripy 'DSP'. On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the man image and the two cats using the 'All in the Family' stampset (hint: you may want to use a 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' to line up all the components nice an straight!!) I coloured the images in using 'Stampin' Write Markers' and then mounted it onto a piece of 'Real Red'card and then glued in onto the cardbase.

I stamped the 'happy fathers day' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set using 'Marina Mist' ink and then punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch'. Finally i ran some 'Marina Mist' card through the 'Big shot' using the 'Timeless type Alphabet Dies' to create the word 'Dad' which i glued in place at the bottom of the card!

This Fathers Day is a little bit more special for my hubby this year - as he not only gets a card from the cats but also from Baby Tiddlywink! I got a lot of enjoyment making Fathers Day cards this year - check out my blog tomorrow to see the card from bump!

Motorcycle Card

Hey, i'm back again today with another masculine card - it seems right to feature lots at the moment, what with Fathers Day approaching this weekend. Hopefully i will inspire you to get out your craft stash and make a special card for your Dad (if you haven't done so already!)

Todays card is actually a birthday card, but with a change of sentiment you could easily create a fathers day card! I had a bit of a creative block, but with a bit of google searching a came across this beautiful design and couldn't resist CASEing it from this blog:

On a 11.5cm x 11.5cm square of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the sentiment in the top lefthand corner (from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' set) using 'Early Espresso' ink. Next i stamped the fab A La Carte 'Motorcycle' stamp. I inked it up with 'Early Espresso' ink and stamped it three times WITHOUT reinking the image (i used the 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' tool to carefully line it up! The bow has been created from some (sadly retired) 'Early Espresso' 'Satin Ribbon' (although you could use 'Chocolate Chip' ribbon instead.) I mounted this onto a slightly larger square of 'Early Espresso' card and then mounted it all onto a 'Crumbcake' 12.5cm x 12.5cm cardbase.

If you struggle to create cards for men, consider purchasing the 'a la carte' 'Motorcycle' stamp. It is such a lifesaver for creating masculine cards:
And its a complete bargain at £7.95!! If you'd like to make an order email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Nautical Fathers Day Card!!

So it's Fathers Day this weekend coming - so have you brought/ made your cards yet? If not heres a little inspiration for you! I CASE'd this card from a Catherine Poolers blog i have recently come across! it's fab for ideas! The card i have to show you today features 'The Open Sea' stampset from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue'. I have slightly altered Catherines design - here it is:

On a 'Crumbcake' cardbase i stamped the large image from the stampset in two corners to create a background  (using 'Crumbcake' ink) and then right at the bottom of the card i stamped the 'happy fathers day' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set in 'Night Of Navy' ink. Next on a strip of 'Crumbcake' i stamped the anchor image from the set using 'Night Of Navy' and 'Cherry Cobbler' ink and placed three 'Basic Rhinestones' to add a little bling! I snipped this strip of card at the bottom and then mounted it onto a larger strip of 'Cherry Cobbler' card.

I just love 'The Open Sea' stampset - it is completely perfect to make cards for men:

The great thing about this card is with a quick change of sentiment this card could be used for another occassion - a perfect masculine card!

If you'd like to make an order email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

A Baby Card and 3D pic of Baby Tiddlywink! x

Babies, Babies everywhere!! At the moment i seem to (unsuprisingly) be making lots of baby related projects! Today i have a card to share with you that i made to pop some pics of baby Tiddlywinks 3D scan to send to my in-laws in Spain (and if you scroll down underneath the card i have posted a scan pic for those of you who are interested!!)

On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the cute little baby image using the fun stampset: 'All In The Family' which is a 2 step stampset where you can create lots of characters:

A little tip for you - you may benefit from using a 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' tool to line up the different stamp componants!!

I coloured in the baby image using 'Stampin' Write Markers' and then cute him out using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Labels Collection Framelits Dies'. I then mounted it onto a larger label cut from 'Island Indigo' card which i embossed using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folder' to add some texture and then glued this onto the 'Baja Breeze' cardbase. I then punched out some 'Island Indigo' card using the 'Ribbon Lace Punch' and ran this along the bottom of the card, placing some 'Basic Pearls' to add some bling! Finally i 'Heat Embossed' to sentiment (from the 'Just Believe' stampset) using 'White Embossing Powder'.

Add here's a little peek of Baby Tiddlywink's 3D scan:

He is due on the 31st July and i really can't wait for him to arrive!!

An Angry Bird Card!

Today is our friend Robs birthday. He is currently on holiday but i have posted this card so he will recieve it on his return! I made this card at a recent card class that my friend Jade hosted, which was great fun. It features punch-art to create an Angry Bird themed card, which is a perfect card to men/ teenagers (or men who still think they are/ act like they are teenagers hehe!)

On a 'So Saffron' cardbase we glued a piece of 'Sahara Sand' card which we ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Stripes Embossing Folder'. We first made the catapolt using the 'Word Window Punch' cut from woodgrain 'DSP' from the 'Well Worn Collection'. We glued this into place onto the base and wrapped some 'Linen Thread' around it.

The angry bird was created from 'Real Red', 'Whisper White' and scraps of 'Basic Black' and 'So Saffron' card using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' to craete his body and the 'Owl Punch' to craete his eyes.

The sentiments come from the 'For My Family' set ( a perfect sentiment stampset to craete cards and scrapbook projects)

We stamped these images in 'Early Espresso' ink, punching them out using the 'Word Window Punch'  and then mounted them onto some 'Early Espresso' card.

I hope Rob has a fab birthday! And if you fancy making an order then email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Crafty Boots Challenge: Material!

Hey all, i'm back with this fortnights Crafty Boots Challenge. This time you are challenged to make a card featuring material on it somewhere. I loved this challenge as it was a great excuse for me to get out and play with my new Stampin' Up! fabric from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue': 'Twitterpated Fabric'.

I made this card for my cousins little girl Summer, who had her christening yesterday - i hope she had a lovely day!!

Onto a 'Marina Mist' square cardbase i glued in place a piece of 'Certainly Celery' card which i cut with my 'Big Shot' using the 'Large Scallop Die' and then embossed using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'. I placed some 'Basic Pearls' in the centre of each of the embossed flowers to add a little bling!!

To create the butterfly: I mounted some of the beautiful 'Twitterpated Fabric' onto some card using the 'Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' and then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die' (again, i couldn't resist adding some pearls!) Finally i printed the 'on your christening' sentiment using the computer onto some 'Whisper White' card, punched it out using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and then mounted it onto a 'Pretty in Pink' 'Scallop Circle' gluing it in place with a couple of 'Dimensionals' to give it that 3D effect!

If you would like any details on any of the products used, or would like to place an order then drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com

I look forward to seeing all your Crafty Boot Challenge entries!!

Silver Embossed Wedding RSVP Card!

Hey all, seems like 2012 is a life-changing year for many - with lots of babies due and lots of people tying the knot!! Our friends Jen and Andy got married on Friday in Sicily!! Lucky them!! I've already seen a few pics and they looked stunning on their day! They're off on honeymoon for three weeks now, but have arranged a second wedding reception on their return. So today i have the RSVP card i sent to them to confirm our attendance (assuming baby Tiddlywink doesn't make an early arrival!!)

This card was super quick to make and would be a perfect make for wedding invites!! (I have to be honest this card was made at Jades and i was being incredibly lazy - Jade was sitting next to the 'Heat Embossing Tool' and so she actually pretty much made this card on my orders!! So thanks Jade!!) Onto a piece of 'Rich Razzleberry' cardstock 'we' stamped the 'Medallion' stamp using 'Versamark' and then embossed it with 'Silver Embossing Powder' and then fixed it using the 'Heat Embossing Tool', placing a 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre! The RSVP sentiment is from the wonderful 'Wedding Sweet' set, which has also been heat embossed! This was mounted onto a 'Basic Grey' cardbase!!

Are you planning on making or designing your own wedding invites? Why not email me and i can offer you some hints and advice!! amyjtidd@gmail.com

Wedding Invites!!

You may recall on several of my blogposts that i have mentioned that i have been helping out Jade's friend Tori create her wedding invitations. Well tonight we had yet another impromptu crafty get together to work on operation wedding invites... i think we have almost finished now and Tori has given me permission to share her beautiful designs with you all. So here they are:

As you can see Tori has gone with an autuminal theme. She used some 'Peach Parfait' card which has been embossed with the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'and then we've placed some 'Basic Rhinestones' in the centre of the flowers. You will see that the V&A has been inked in the co-ordinating inks ('Pear Pizzazz' and 'Peach Parfait') using the 'Monogram Sweet Alphabet' stampset onto 'Whisper White' cardstock, which has been punched out using the 'Decorative Label Punch' and then bordered on some 'Pear Pizzazz' card (also cut out using the 'Decorative Label' punch. All of this had been mounted on a 'Crumbcake' cardbase. Finally two holes have been punched at the bottom of the card using the trusty 'Crop-a-dile' and then some 'Pear Pizzazz' 'Seam Binding Ribbon' has been used to tie the cards up ready to be sent!! We have now as a group create over 70 of these cards!! Which sounds like a lot, but with an productive production line hasn't taken too long!!

Don't you just love the design!! Making your own wedding invites may sound daunting but with a little advice and some patience anyone can make them - and at leat you know you're going to get exactly what you want! (And it works out much cheaper too!!)

If you'd like some advice on creating your own wedding invites then drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Babymoon Review and an idea for Fathers Day!

Hey all! I'm back from Bath!! Hubby took me away for a short little break and i we had such a lovely time. We stayed in a completely lush hotel/B&B hybrid called Brittons Farm Estates - it was completely 5* and i totally recommend it to anyone who is planning a short break away! The owners (Fred and Helen) are lovely and friendly and the service is top notch (they even deliver your breakfast to you butler style!!) Whilst we was there we visited the Roman Baths, which we found completely fascinating!!

We both returned back from our trip completely relaxed and i still have the rest of the halfterm before i go back to work... and yes, i plan to get some crafting done, as it seems like forever since i had a proper crafty session!!

Today i have a card to share with you that i made some time ago at a crafty session with some fellow Stampin' Up! demos. This card was designed by Fiona and uses a fab set from the new mini catty called 'The Open Sea' which is just perfect for Fathers Day!

Onto a 'Baja Breeze' base we stamped the compass image twice using 'Island Indigo' ink. On a square of 'Island Indigo' card we stamped and re-stamped the globe image several times and then wrapped some of the 'Island Indigo' 'Bakers Twine' around it.

On a piece of 'Whisper White' card we stamped the globe image using 'Island Indigo' ink to create a background and then using 'Rich Razzleberry' ink we stamped the ship image and the anchor. We then used the '1/2" Circle Punch' to shape the corners and then mounted it onto a 'Rich Razzleberry' card which we also edged the corners.

Finally i stamped the happy fathers day sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set using 'Baja Breeze' ink and then punched out using the 'Word Windown Punch' and finished it off my mounting it onto some 'Baja Breeze' 'DSP' punched using the 'Modern Label Punch'.

Its not too late to order this fab stampset - email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Fabric Daisies!

Hey all, hope you're enjoying the long bank holiday weekend! Me and hubby are off to Bath for a couple of days for a 'babymoon'! So i've scheduled this blog - i hope it works!!

Today i have a card to share with you that i CASE'd from my crafty friend http://www.jadedcrafter.blogspot.co.uk/ at a recent crafty session we had!! As soon as i saw her make it i couldn't resist making a copy for myself!!

The daisies have been created from two of the designs from the 'Flirtatious Fabric' that we mounted onto some card using 'Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' and then cut out using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Flower Daisies Die'. I placed an 'Antique Brad' in the centre of them.

Next we used the fab 'Labels Collection Framelits Dies', using 'Melon Mambo' to create the larger one, and then a piece of 'Very Vanilla' to create the smaller one, which we then ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folde'r to add some texture. We mounted these onto a 'Very Vanilla' cardbase and then secured the fabric daisies into place using some 'Red Sticky Tape'.

Finally we stamped the sentiment, using the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset (in 'Melon Mambo' ink, onto a piece of 'Pink Pirouette' card) and the punched it out using the fab 'Word Window Punch'. We placed two teeny tiny 'Basic Pearls' either side of the sentiment and secured it in place using some 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Hey all, Sorry it has been a few days since my last post - we are currently going through the joys of changing internet provider and have therefore been without my laptop for a day or two... but now i'm back!

I hope you're all having a wonderful jubilee weekend. Shame about the weather, but nethertheless we've still been making the most of some time off! Today we went to visit hubby's nanny and grandpa, as it is his grandpas birthday on Tuesday (we're going on a babymoon to Bath) so needed to drop his gift, card and cake around today. So today i have the card i made for him, featuring the 'Need for Speed' stampset - perfect for masculine makes:

On a piece of 'Bashful Blue' card i stamped the aircraft image from the 'Need For Speed' set three times in 'Basic Grey' ink. I stamped the 'happy birthday' and 'Grandpa' sentiments from 'For my Family' set (using 'Night of Navy' ink.) I tore the edge of this card, layering it onto a piece of 'Night of Navy' and then a piece of 'Red Riding Hood'. I punched three holes into the 'Red Riding Hood' card and placed three brads through and then wrapped some 'Linen Thread' around several times, tying it off in a bow. Finally i glued this all onto a 'Night Of Navy' cardbase.

I hope Frank has a lovely birthday Tuesday, and i promise my posts will be more regular! Hope you didn't miss me too much! xxxxx
