Crafty Boots Challenge: Yellow!

Another fortnight has been and gone - and yes - it is time for another Crafty Boots Challenge. This months theme is 'Yellow' - so we want to see your projects featuring all shades of yellow!!

Here is my DT offering for this challenge using the beautiful 'So Saffron' shade of yellow!:

The cardbase is 'So Saffron' on which i layered a another piece of 'So Saffron' card which i have run thorugh the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder' to create some texture, as well as some 'Beyond the Garden DSP' (which is FREE for just one more day if you make an April order! Email amyjtidd@gmail.com to make your order!) Along the middle i have wrapped some 'Calypso Coral' 'Ruffled Ribbon' as well as bow made from the same ribbon. On a small square of 'So Saffron' i have layered a square of 'Whisper White' card which i have stamped the 'happy birthday wishes' sentiment (from the 'Petite Pairs set) in 'Calypso Coral' ink. Finally i have stamped the flower image from the 'Button Buddies' stampset three times onto 'Whisper White' card using 'Calypso Coral' ink and then cute these out and layered them ontop of one another, finishing off the design with a coordinating 'So Saffron' 'Designer Button'!

Hope you like the card - i don't often use yellow - so this was a real challenge for me! If you like any of the materials used within this project you can order Stampin' Up! products through me! The catalogues are on the righthand side for you to view - and today is the last day of the 'Spring Mini Catalogue' and the April DSP Promotion - so get your order emailed over to me ASAP: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Baby Shower Invites!

Hey all, i'm so excited! My sister and my friends are organising a baby shower for me! I'm to have very little involvement in the preperations myself. I just had to confirm the date, write a list of names to invite and oh yeah ... design and make the invites! But my sis is doing the rest!!!

So today i had a lovely day, out for breakfast with hubby this morning, shopping with sis this afternoon, then an evening of crafting and curry with sis!! This is the baby shower invite design we came up with:

This babygrow design was easily constucted by folding a 'Whisper White' cardbase at the top and then punching using '1-3/8" Circles' to create the neck and leg-holes of the babygrow! Next i ran the cardbase through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder' to add some texture. I punched out some 'Bashful Blue' 'Scallop Circles' and punched out the centre using the '1-3/8" Circle' to create the edging on the neck and legs! Finally i stamped the teddybear image (from the 'Every Little Bit' stampset) in 'Bashful Blue' ink using the 'Whisper White' card, punched it out using the '1-1/4" Circle Punch' and then mounted it onto a '1-3/8" Circle' of 'Bashful Blue' card. Now we just have to find time to make a big batch of them!!! Tomorrow is going to be a very crafty day!!!

Strawberry Gift Box: Featuring the 'Fruit and Flowers' stampset

As i mentioned in yesterdays blogpost - the items from the Spring Mini Catalogue are only available until the end of the month - so if you want anything from the catty you have to get your orders in this weekend:  email your orders over to amyjtidd@gmail.com

One of these amazing stampsets that i will completely miss is the fab 'Fruit and Flowers' set:

So today i have a bright little 'Pillow Box' constructed using the 'Pillow Box Die' made using the 'Big Shot' (from 'Real Red' card) which i randomly stamped with the strawberry image using 'Real Red' ink (although i'm afraid my camera hasn't really picked up in this pic), which i have wrapped a belly-belt of 'Pear Pizzazz' card embossed using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folder'.

To complete this project i stamped the strawberry image using 'Real Red' and 'Old Olive' 'Stampin' Write Markers' onto some 'Whisper White' card which i punched out using the '1-1/4" Circle Punch' and then layered it onto a '1-3/8" Circle' of 'Pear Pizzazz' card and then onto a 'Real Red' 'Scallop Circle'.

There you have it - a nice simple project perfect for putting a small gift or some yummy sweets in!!

A Card For A Cool Rider!!

So today i have a card to share with you for all your 'Motorcycle' fanatics!!

The cardbase has been created from some 'Night Of Navy' cardstock that i shaped into a 'rocker' card using the 'Large Scallop Die'. I then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folder' to add texture to it!!

On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the 'Motorcycle' stampset using 'Early Espresso' ink. I ' partially coloured the 'Motorcycle' using 'Pear Pizzazz' ink and a trusty 'Blender Pen'. The sentiment is from the 'Tagtastic' stampset which i selectively stamped using an 'Early Espresso' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. I mounted this onto a piece of 'Pear Pizzazz' card using some 'Dimensionals', before gluing it onto the cardbase.

A nice, simple card for any 'Motorcycle' enthusiast!!

If you like the look of the products used on this project - why not make an order today. Email it over to me ASAP to take advantage of the April promotion (a FREE pack of 'DSP' with orders of £45) Drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com

'You Are Loved' Card!!

Reminder: The Spring Mini Catalogue is only available until the end of this month!! Today i want to share with you one of the cards we made yesterday during the crafty session around Fionas. This card has been created using the beautiful 'You are Loved' stampset which was designed by Kat:

Featuring 'Pretty In Pink', 'Old Olive' and 'Very Vanilla', there was quite a lot of inking and stamping (done with the 'Stampin' Write Markers) on this card, but it was a lovely idea to finish off the day with and i think the end product was most definately worth the effort!!

The centre of the card has been embellished with a piece of the 'Very Vanilla' 'Satin Ribbon' 'ruffled' up along by using red sticky strip (tape). I love this technique as it adds a lovely texture to a card.

We finished off the card with the sentiment - also from the 'You Are Loved' set inked in 'Rose Red' onto some 'Pretty in Pink' card and punched out with the 'Modern Label Punch'.

I just love the 'You Are Loved' stampset - it is so elegant and versatile! You could use it for Valentines Cards, Engagement Cards, Wedding Cards, Wedding Invitations, Friendship Cards etc...

Don't forget this wonderful stampset and the others in the Spring mini catalogue which you can find on the right hand side of my blog, will ONLY be available until the end of the month. So why not take advantage of April's offer when you spend £45, and get a pack of paper for FREE with your order. (I'll also through in FREE P&P (worth £4.95) with every order over £45!! So e-mail your order over today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Jades Sweet Treat Card!!

Hey all! I have had a fabulously crafty day with five other ladies sharing projects and ideas, as well as having a good chat and lots of scrummy food!!!

I can't wait to share with you the projects we made (some of them you may have to wait for as they feature lots of yummy projects from the new summer catty that is out from the 1st of May!!

Anyway... today i have a great card to share with you designed by Jade featuring Stampin' Up! brilliant 'Sweet Treat cups' and the 'Something Sweet' stampset:

Onto a 'Tempting Turquoise' cardbase we layered some 'Cheerful Treat DSP' (available at a reduced price as a hostess product!) On a piece of 'Whisper White' we stamped the bubblegum machine image from the 'Something Sweet' stampset, then punched out a hole using the '1-3/4" Circle Punch' and then using the 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' carefully stamped the lid of the bubblegum machine (all in 'Tempting Turquoise' ink) We then carefully punched another '1-3/4" Circle' onto a piece of 'Tempting Turquoise' card and then sandwiched a 'Sweet Treat' cup inbetween the white and blue card.

Before gluing this down we cut (by hand) a small circle onto the actual cardbase (approx 1/2" in size) and then we randomly stamped the jellybean image (from the 'Something Sweet' set) onto another small piece of 'Whisper White' (using 'Melon Mambo' ink) attached a 'Tempting Turquoise' 'Round Tab'.

The idea is now to glue down the bubblegum machine image - ensuring you allow the jellybean tab to easily slide out. Final stage is to fill the 'Sweet Treat Cup' with sweeties of your choice through the 1/2" circle hole in the back. Allowing the recipient to have easy access to the sugary sweetness! Clever huh?!

Finally we stamped the sentiment (also from the 'Something Sweet' stampset) and punched it out using the 'Decorative Label Punch'.

I just love this card and hope you do too! If you want to have this stampset and sweet treat cups for yourself then why not make an order today - email it over to me at amyjtidd@gmail.com (don't forget until the end of the month you will recieve a FREE pack of DSP with every order of £45 and i will also provide you with FREE P&P!)

Ladybird Card!

Hey all, sorry for the late post tonight - i have been out tonight with my family for a yummy Thai meal for my little sisters birthday!!

Tonight i have a project to share with you that i will be demo'ing tomorrow at a Stampin' Up! demo sharing session. It's a ladybird card created using the 'Large Scallop Die':

I started off with a 'Whisper White' cardbase which i shaped using the 'Large Scallop Die'. I punched the ladybirds head from some 'Basic Black' card using the '1-3/4" Circle Punch' and created his antenae using the 'Two-Step Bird Punch' (the branch part of the punch' and glued them to the top of the cardbase. Next i ran some 'Real Red' 'DSP' through the 'Big Shot' with the the 'Large Scallop Die' to create the ladybird wings, i punched several '1/2" Circles' from 'Basic Black' card and then attached them to the wings using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. Next up i attached the wings to the cardbase using a 'Real Red' 'Brad'. Finally i stamped the sentiment from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' stampset using 'Basic Black' ink.

I hope the ladies like this project when i share it with them tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to a crafty day, i can't wait to share all our projects with you!!

I have a fab project to share with you today created by Jade and if you're a Sesame Street fan you will LOVE them!!:

The characters (from left to right) are Elmo, Oscar, Cookie Monster and Big Bird and have all been created using the 'Scallop Circle Punch', The 'Owl Punch' for the eyes and 'Word Window Punch' for Big Birds beak! Jade used a range of cardstock colours! She mounted these onto lollipop sticks to create bookmarks but you could easily pop these characters on a card!! I love these cute characters - they're so much fun aren't they?! Well done Jade for creating these cute characters!!

A Regal Colour Pallette Card.

Today i have a card that i have made that is not my usual kinda card. To be honest i usually stick to the Stampin' Up! 'Brights', 'Subtles' and 'In Colour' collections. But i recently did a recce of my cardstock and realised i had a lot of 'Regal' card that i have barely touched. So i decided to go out of my comfort zone and create a card with this range of colours:

This card was inspired by a card made by Catherine Pooler and love the way the 'Decorative Label Punch' is used to create a border! It started life as a 'Bravo Burgundy' cardbase. The 'DSP' used in this project is from the 'Paisley Petals' collection and i have used some 'More Mustard' card punched out using 'Decorative Label Punch' to create the border along the side of the card.

On a strip of 'Very Vanilla' cardstock i stamped the congrats sentiment from the 'Tagtastic' stampset (available as a hostess set) using 'Bravo Burgundy' and 'Baja Breeze' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I mounted this onto a slightly wider 'More Mustard' card and finally finished off the card by threading some 'Linen Thread' though a 'Marina Mist' 'Designer Button'.

I love this card and it was such a quick make! I will definately be using this layout in the future and i love finding a new way to use my 'Decorative Label Punch'!

If you like any of the products used within this project then why not make an order. Email one over today: amyjtidd@gmail.com and don't forget you will recieve a FREE pack of 'DSP' (RRP £9.95) with all orders of £45 or over! And for the month of April i will also offer FREE P&P (usually £4.95) direct to your door with all orders over £45! This is an exclusive offer to MY customers!!

Button Buddies Baby Rattle Card!

Today i have a card to share with you using the fab 'Button Buddies' stampset:
This stampset is quite literally AMAZING ... because it completely coordinates with the 'Stampin' Up! Designer Buttons'. I have had a lot od fun recently playing with this set and last week created this card:

This card features 'Nursery Nest DSP' - which you can recieve for FREE throughout April if you make an order of £45! I love this paper collection - and it is SO versatile! I layered this paper onto a 'Pear Pizzazz' cardbase. I ran a piece of knotted 'Seaming Ribbon' around the card.

I ran some 'Pear Pizzazz' and 'Pink Pirouetter' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Pennant Die' to create the doily shapes and layered them on top of one another - using some 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect! Next on a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the sentiment 'welcome baby' from the 'Petite Pairs' stampset in 'Pear Pizzazz' and the rattle image (from the 'Button Buddies' set) in 'Marina Mist'. I finally attached a 'Marina Mist' 'Designer Button' with some 'Linen Thread' tied through!

Crafty Boots Challenge:No Girls Allowed!!!

It's that time again ... another Crafty Boots Challenge! This fortnights theme is: No girls allowed (not necessarily boys stuff just no images of girls allowed!)

So here is my DT creation for this challenge. It features the 'Fox and Friends' stampset - which i love so much!

I started with a 'More Mustard' cardbase, which i stamped with 'paw prints' from the 'Patterned Pets' stampset (also in 'More Mustard' ink). Along the spine of the card i glued some 'Chocolate Chip' 'DSP'. I then cut a strip of 'Cajun Craze' card which i edged using the 'Scallop Trim Border Punch' and glued down the middle of the card.

On a piece of 'Very Vanilla' card i stamped the lion image fromt he 'Fox and Friends' stampset in 'More Mustard' ink. I punched it out using the 'Curly Label Punch' and then lightly distressed the edges using some 'Chocolate Chip' ink and a 'Sponge Dauber'. I then mounted this onto several 'Cajun Craze' 'Curly Labels'. On a seperate piece of 'Very Vanilla' card i stamped out the lions face using 'Cajun Craze' ink, cut it out and then glued it into place using a 'Dimensional' to create a 3D effect.

Finally i stamped the 'happy birthday' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset and punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch'.

i think you'll agree a masculine card - that is definately not for girls!! I can't wait to see your Crafty Boot Challenge entries!!

Happy Wedding Day Kim and Stu!

Today is our friends Kim and Stus wedding day! So today i have the card that i have made to give them:

This card uses a beautiful stampset from the Spring Mini Catalogue called 'You Are Loved'. It is the most perfect stampset to create cards for engagements, weddings, anniversarys, valentines day and plenty more occassions too:

Isn't it just stunning!! I couldn't resist making a card with this set!! To create Kim and Stus wedding card i 'Heat Embossed' the heart image using 'White Embossing Powder' onto some 'Pool Party' card. I mounted this onto a piece of 'Early Espresso' card. Then on a piece of 'Whisper White' card i embossed the bottom of the card using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder'. I ran a piece of 'Pool Party' 'Ruffled Ribbon' and then glued the heart image onto it. I heat embossed the sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set) onto some 'Pool Party' card and punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch'. I finished this card off by mounting it onto an 'Early Espresso' cardbase!!

I hope Kim and Stu like this card and have a fantastic wedding day!!

Natures Nest Card!

Hey all, hope you're having a good week! I've had a lovely time catching up with lots of friends and family - and been out for lunch a lot!

Today i have a card to share with you created by my Sister Jamie, using the beautiful 'Natures Nest' stampset:

I think you'll agree this stampset is simply stunning and could be used in so many different ways - i can't wait to get playing with it!!

Anyway here is the card that Jamie made with this set:

She stamped the tortoise image using 'Basic Black' ink onto 'Whisper White' card, she mounted this onto 'So Saffron' and the 'Pool Party' card. Onto a card base she layered some 'Domestic Goddess DSP', then some 'So Saffron' card and then some 'Pool Party' card (ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder' to create a textured effect.) She used 'Dimensionals' to raise each layer. Finally she punched some '1/2" Circles' from some 'Pool Party' card, punched a hole in the centre of each one and placed a 'Brad' through each one, positioning them at the bottom of the card.

I love this card and design. I think it is a fab way of showcasing a beauriful image and with the addition of a sentiment could almost suit any occasion!

X-Box Birthday Card!

Today i have a card for the guys, my hubby and all of his friends are X-box fanatics. So it made sense to make my hubby's best friend, Dave a birthday card along the XBox theme. I originally attempted to cut out a cardbase shaped as an X-Box controller, but quickly got fustrated by my complete inability to cut in a straight line, so headed to trusty Google to seek an alternative design and ended up CASEing a card by CraftingClaire.

This card is inspired from an X Box controller. The cardbase is 'Very Vanilla'. The 'Birthday Wishes' sentiment is from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' stampset inked in 'Basic Gray' onto a strip of 'Very Vanilla' and then mounted onto a strip of 'Basic Grey' before being glued onto the card base. Next i punched out four '1/2" Circles' from 'Real red', 'Pacific Point', 'Certainly Celery' and 'So Saffron' card on which i drew on by hand (using the same colour 'Stampin' Write Marker' an 'A','B','X' and 'Y' and attached them in place using 'Dimensionals' to create a raised 3D effect. I then punched out several '1/2" Circles' from 'Basic Grey' card and randomly glued them in place across the card.

I simple card which goes to show you don't need a huge craft stash to create the perfect card for people you know. Thats the great thing about making your own cards - you can assure they completely suit the recipient you're sending them to!

I hope Dave had a great birthday on Monday!

Get Well Soon Lucy xxxxxx

Yesterday i got the news that one of my best friends is in hospital. They think she has a nasty kidney infection and she's really poorly. So during yesterdays crafty session i made her a lovely bright Get Well Soon card to give to her:

On a 'Melon Mambo' base i glued four '1-3/8" Circles' punched from 'Concord Crush'. Next up i stamped the dragonfly image from the 'Natures Nest' stampset using 'Concord Crush' ink, i cut this out, coloured in the wings using some 'Melon Mambo' ink and a 'Blender Pen'. and then glued it onto a 'Melon Mambo' '1--1/4" Circle' using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. I then stamped the dragonfly image three times onto some 'Very Vanilla' card not reinking each time to create faded images. I punched these out using '1-14" Circle Punch' and glued them into place.

Finally i stamped the 'get well wishes' sentiment (from a retired stampet') onto a strip of 'Very Vanilla', bordering it onto a slightly wider strip of 'Concord Crush' card. I finished this card off with an 'Antique Brad'.

I hope Lucy loves this card and it cheers her up a little. Love you chica - get well soon! xxxxxxxxx

Bank holiday Crafty Session!!

Hey all!!! I have had a last-minute fabulously crafty afternoon with my sisters and my friend Hannah!! I quite literally emptied most of my crafty stash onto the dining room and we just played all afternoon - i have so many creations to share with you over the next few days!!

Now the sign of a good crafty session is a completely messy workspace - so here is us busy crafting away:

Just look at that mess! Hehe! impressive hey?! And here we are showing of some of our finished creations:

So before i go here's a few of the cards that were made today. First up a fab cupcake card created by Hannah:

A 'Very Vanilla' cardbase. Hannah embossed some 'Pink Pirouette' card using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder', which she glued in place. She stamped the cupcake (from the 'Crazy For Cupcakes' set) painted it in using 'a range of Stampin Up! inks and 'Blender Pens', cut it out by hand and attached it to the card using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. She punched out several '1/2" Circles' from some 'Rose Red' card and glued them randomly in place. She wrapped some 'Grosgrain Ribbon' around the front and finally printed the sentiment (also from the 'Crazy For Cupcakes' set) punched out using the 'Decorative Label Punch'. I love this design!!

Hannah also couldn't resist playing with the rest of 'Sale-a-bration' stash... i'm gonna miss those papers :( As well as some retired sets of mine as well as  the fabby 'Butterfly Punch' to create this card:

She also CASE'd my window idea that i shared last week to create this card using the 'Patterned Pets' stampset:

Finally i have a fun little card my little sister made for me - a windmill card created using 'Brights DSP' to create the main building and strips of  'Big Top Birthday DSP' to make the sails'. She used a 'Stampin' Write Marker' to draw on the door and some 'Bright Brads' in coordinating colours! I'm pretty impressed with this - it's a completely original design and not bad at all for a 9 year old!! So proud of her!!

Well i think that is enough from me for today - so check back tomorrow to see some more creations from our crafty session!

If you live in the Aldershot area and fancy coming along and having a play with some of the Stampin' Up! products then email me to make some arrangements: amyjtidd@gmail.com You're more than welcome!

Cate used the 'Borderlines' stampset (Page 13 of the mini catalogue) and several Stampin' Up! inks to create the background onto a piece of 'Whisper White', which she mounted onto a 'Crumb Cake' cardbase.

She stamped the sentiment (from the 'Sincere Salutation' set) onto a piece of 'Whisper White' which she punched out with the 'Large Scallop Circle Punch' (Page 22 of the mini catty) She drew on some extra detail with a 'Stampin' Write Marker' and then added some bling with some 'Basic Rhinestones'. She placed this on the multicoloured background using some 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect!

I Heart 'Perfect Postage'!!

A little while ago i saw a card on my upline Cates blog and straight away i loved it and knew that i would have to incorporate the idea on a creation of my own:

I made these cards from some 'Melon Mambo' card. I randomly stamped the heart image from the 'Perfect Postage' stampset over the cardbase. Next i layered a piece of 'Concord Crush' card edged on both sides using the 'Eyelet Border Punch'. On a seperate piece of 'Melon Mambo' card i punched out a heart using the 'Heart Punch'. Behind which i layered some pink strips of card punched out using the 'Ribbon Lace Border Punch'. To finish off the card i drew on some faux stitching using a 'Concord Crush' 'Stampin' Write Marker'.

I loved this card so much i couldn't resist making a whole bunch of them to give out as thankyou cards:

I just love this design - i will most definately be making lots more of these!!! Now don't forget the 'Perfect Postage' stampset is only available until the end of the month - as all the items from the 'Spring Mini Catalogue' will be retiring to make way for the new 'Summer Mini Catalogue'. Why not take a browse through the Spring mini and place an order before it's too late. Email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Happy Good Friday everyone! Hope you are all well and enjoying the start of a long weekend. I have had a lovely day today - shopping this morning with my good friend Lucy and then spending the afternoon with my Nan and Dad. Whilst there i delivered some little Easter treats - made from the bold, bright 'Beyond the Garden DSP' (that is currently part of the April Promotion and FREE with all purchases £45 and over!!) These little packages are so simple to make - you can make 6 of them from one piece of DSP! and they made the most perfect containers to pop little sweets and other small gifts!! All you need is some 'DSP' and some 'Red Sticky Tape'. Easy peasey!!

To decorate these packages i stamped the cutey bunny from the 'Perfect Postage' stampset in 'Melon Mambo' and 'Lucky Limeade' ink, onto 'Whisper White' card. I punched these out using the 'Postage Punch' and then layered them onto 'Melon Mambo' and 'Pear Pizzazz' card punched out with the'Curly Label Punch'. Here's some close ups:

I stamped out the 'Happy Easter' sentiments from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set punched out using the 'Word Window Punch'.

A Lovely Bunny Easter Card!!

I'm back again with another Easter card that i made at my friend Jade's recent Easter craft class:

So we began with a 'Bashful Blue' cardbase onto which we ran the across it also using 'Every Egg' Stampin' Up! roller using 'Bashful Blue' ink.

I just love this roller! It's sooooooooooooo cute! stampin' Up! have tonnes of Stampin' rollers sprinkled through the catalogue and they make amazing backgrounds and borders!!

Anyway ... going back to the card we stamped the easter sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set inked in 'Chocolate Chip' onto some 'Whisper White card' which we punched out using the 'Word Window Punch'. We placed this in the bottom corner of the card using a 'Dimensional' to raise this slightly.

Next up we glued some 'Chocolate Chip' across the card and then ran some 'So Saffron' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polkadot Embossing Folder' to create some texture! We stamped the cute bunny from the 'Perfect Postage' stampset (only available until the end of the month as it is in the Spring Mini catalogue) inked in 'Chocolate chip', punched out using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and then glued onto a 'Chocolate Chip' 'Scallop Circle Punch' and then raised using 'Dimensionals'.

I just love this card, thanks Jade for demoing it to us! I'm sending this one to my in-laws in Spain to wish them a Happy Easter!!

A Chirpy Easter Card!

Hey everyone! Eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkk! So excited! It's almost Easter and you know what that means?! CHOCOLATE!! hehe!

A couple of weekends ago i went around to my crafty friend Jades house to partake in her Easter Card class! It was lots of fun and here is one of the cards that we made:

Onto a 'Whisper White' cardbase we layered a rectangle of 'Bashful Blue' card, onto which we layered a piece of 'Whisper White' which has been run through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Lattice Square Embossing Folder'. The two Easter chicks have been punched out of 'So Saffron' cardstock using the fab 'Two Step Bird Punch':
This punch is FANTASTIC and SO versatile! Now you will notice that we have done something very clever with these little chicks wing, we use the 'Scallop Circle Punch' to create a feathery effect! I glued this birds into place and used a 'Dimensional' to raise the wings and create a 3D effect!

I stamped the little flower (from the 'Create a Cupcake' stampset) using 'Melon Mambo' and 'Pear Pizzazz' 'Stampin' Write Markers' onto a little scrap of card and then cut it out and popped it in place using a 'Dimensional'.

Finally the sentiment is from the wonderful 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set, inked in 'Melon Mambo' onto some 'Pink Pirouette' card and then punched out using the 'Word Window Punch' (which you may notice i have become a bit obsessed with recently!)

Have you made your Easter cards yet? Why not get your stash out and make a few before Sunday!!
