Crafty Boots Challenge: Material!

Hey all, i'm back with this fortnights Crafty Boots Challenge. This time you are challenged to make a card featuring material on it somewhere. I loved this challenge as it was a great excuse for me to get out and play with my new Stampin' Up! fabric from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue': 'Twitterpated Fabric'.

I made this card for my cousins little girl Summer, who had her christening yesterday - i hope she had a lovely day!!

Onto a 'Marina Mist' square cardbase i glued in place a piece of 'Certainly Celery' card which i cut with my 'Big Shot' using the 'Large Scallop Die' and then embossed using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'. I placed some 'Basic Pearls' in the centre of each of the embossed flowers to add a little bling!!

To create the butterfly: I mounted some of the beautiful 'Twitterpated Fabric' onto some card using the 'Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' and then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die' (again, i couldn't resist adding some pearls!) Finally i printed the 'on your christening' sentiment using the computer onto some 'Whisper White' card, punched it out using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and then mounted it onto a 'Pretty in Pink' 'Scallop Circle' gluing it in place with a couple of 'Dimensionals' to give it that 3D effect!

If you would like any details on any of the products used, or would like to place an order then drop me an email:

I look forward to seeing all your Crafty Boot Challenge entries!!

  1. Ow, pretty Amy. I love the way you have used your basic pearls to give your card a bit of bling and you have just reminded me how much I need to get some round punches, the way you have done the sentiment looks really good.

I hope you are surviving all this dreadful weather.

  6. This is so cute Emma, has made me realise how bad it is that I haven't yet made up the bits you sent me. I MUST find the time as I think I am going to want some of that fabric!! xxx
