Who is for cupcakes?!

Who doesn't like a cake or two?! Well this is the most perfect birthday card for all you cake lovers out there!!

I made this card whilst i was having around Jades house on Friday night. Jade invited me and Kat around for a fab night crafting and Jade even cooked us an amazing Chinese meal!

Jade had a cupcake template which i used to cute out a cardbase from 'Whisper White' card. I cut out some 'Pink Pirouette' card in the shape of the cupcake and ran it through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder' to create the icing for the cupcake! The cherry on the top was stamped using the 'Button Buddies' stampset and some 'Rose Red' ink, placing it on the top with a 'Dimensional'. I then cut out some 'Melon Mambo' 'DSP' to create the cupcake case and used the 'Scallop Trim Border Punch' to edge it! (Before gluing it down i wrapped some 'Very Vanilla' 'Seaming Ribbon' around the base!

Finally i stamped the sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' using 'Melon Mambo' ink, punching it out with the 'Word Window Punch' and then gluing it onto the card with some 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect!!

I just love this card and will most definately be keeping my eye out for some different shaped cardbases to use as templates to make other fun designs!!

Don't forget if you like the look of any of the products that i have used in this creation (or any others on my blog) email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com and if you make an order of £45 or more you'll recieve an extra stampset or paper pack for FREE! See the Sale-a-bration leaflet on the righthand side of my blog for more details!!

Make-It-Show: Farnborough Review!!

Hey all!! I hope you all had a good weekend - i had the most amazing weekend all in all! Hubby was away on a stag do and i had a jam packed few days and yes...it did include a lot of CRAFTING!!

Yesterday i went to the Make-it Show in Farnborough, with my sister and had sooooooooooooo much fun!! I really restrained myself and didn't but too much. I did however have a go at lots of new types of crafts which i want to share with you today in my blogpost!

Those of you who visited the show will know that Stampin' Up! had a stall and there was a fabby make and take project that was designed by the ladies. I just couldn't resist giving it a go myself:

I just love the colour combo used within this project: the cardbase is the beautiful 'Rich Razzleberry' on which we stamped a flower from the 'Ornate Flowers' set over (also in 'Rich Razzleberry') to create the background!

On a piece of 'Very Vanilla' piece of card we stamped the flower again, inking it using the 'Old Olive' and 'Rich Razzleberry' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. We tied a note in a piece of 'Very Vanilla' 'Satin Ribbon' and fixed that in place! We layered this onto a piece of 'Marina Mist' card edged each side with the 'Scallop Trip Border Punch'. Finally we stamped the sentiment from the 'Sincere Salutations' set, using 'Old Olive' ink. We punched this out using the 'Decorative Label' punch and then layered it on a 'Marina Mist' 'Decorative Label' cut in half! I just love this card design and think the ladies really showcased the products fantastically!! They were working so hard on the stall when i visited i hope they're having a restful day today to recover!!

Now... not only did we papercraft but we also got to have a go at a few other types of crafts whilst there! For those who follow the blog regularly you will know that i'm pretty much a pure papercraft girl, but i'm really proud with my other creations!!

Firstly we had a go at Decoupage and i created this butterfly:

I haven't quite finished this off, i intend to place something pink and sparkly down the centre and loop some pink ribbon to hang it up! Not bad for a first attempt!!

But i think i saved the best for last! We attended an Acrylic Folk Painting class and this is the final result:

My sister also made one, here is her creation:

I brought a third one from the lovely lady who demo'd and intend to hang tall three in my baby's nursery!! I'm so happy with the final result and still cannot believe that i have created something so beautiful!!

Before i go i just have to thank Jane Willis once again for her generous gift of the Make-It Show tickets!! I definately used them well and had a brilliant day!!

Welcome to the world Baby Jude!

Yep another baby!! My step-sister, Jema gave birth on Friday to a beautiful baby boy which she has named Jude Michael!! He is beautiful! So today i have another baby card for you to see:

I started with a 'Bashful Blue' cardbase. On that i placed a piece of 'Whisper White' card that i had ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder'. I then glued a piece of 'So Saffron' card along the middle. On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped three bunnies (in 'Bashful Blue' ink) from the 'Perfect Postage' stampset and then coloured in the balloons using a 'So Saffron' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. I cut these images out and then layered them onto 'Bashful Blue' card punched out using the 'Postage Stamp Punch'. I used 'Dimensionals' to glue these into place, creating a 3D effect!

Finally the sentiment comes from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set, inked in 'Bashful Blue' onto 'So Saffron' card and punched out using the 'Word Window Punch'!

I'm looking forward to seeing my new nephew and now super excited because the next baby due is mine in July!!

Vintage Vogue!!

Hey all, sorry for such a late posting today - i have been to London. I have had an amazing day shopping and watching Shrek the musical, which was fab!! Totally shattered now but couldn't go to bed without sharing a card with you...

This card uses the beautiful 'Vintage Vogue' stampset. I used some 'Early Espresso' card for the card base. On a strip of 'Pink Pirouette' i stamped the 'life happens, love helps' sentiment from the set, using 'Early Espresso' ink. I snipped each of the ends and folded the card to create a ribbon style effect. I placed two mini 'Basic Pearls' either side and then glued it to the bottom of the card.

Next i cut a piece of 'Whisper White' card and randomly stamped the foilage using 'Always Artichoke' ink. I then stamped some flowers from the set on some 'Whisper White' card using 'Pink Pirouette' ink and cut them out and then placed them onto the card using 'Dimensionals'. Finally popping some 'Basic Pearls' in the centre! I mounted this onto a slightly larger piece of 'Pink Pirouette' card edged with the 'Scallop Trim Border Punch'.

I just love the 'Vintage Vogue' set! This card could be created to suit any type of occassion with a change of sentiment and change of colour combo!!

Hope you're having as good a weekend as me!! I'm off to the Make-it show tomorrow! Can't wait!

Welcome To The World Baby Esme!

Lots of baby news at the moment!! My lovely friends Natalie and Chris have recently welcomed their beautiful daughter Esme into the world!! They already have two adorable little boys and this little girl just perfectly completes their family!! She was absolutely convinced that she was having a boy and so i just had to make a PINK card to welcome the new arrival!!!

This baby grow card has been made from some 'Whisper White' card, folded along the top and then i used the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and the '1-3/4" Circle Punch' to create the head and legs holes!! (There are several tutorials online to follow how to make this cardbase.) I punched out some 'Scallop Circles' from some 'Regal rose' dotty 'DSP' and then punched a hole in the centre to create the scalloped edge around the head and legs! I stamped the rubber duck image (using 'Basic Black' ink) from the wonderfully versatile stampset: 'Easy Events', i coloured it in using 'Bashful Blue', 'So Saffron', 'Pumpkin Pie' and 'Regal Rose' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I punched the image out using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch'. I stamped the umbrella out again onto another piece of 'Whisper White', coloured it in, cut it out and then raised it using a 'dimensional' to create a 3D effect! I layered this onto a 'Scallop Circle' punched from some more 'Regal Rose' 'DSP' and glued onto the centre of the babygrow! Finally i placed three 'Basic Pearls' along the bottom to create poppers. And there you go one lovely baby card! Welcome to the world baby Esme - can't wait to have a cuddle!!

For my lovely customer Jane!

Today i have a card to share with you that i made for a lovely customer of mine Jane. (I have featured some of her work on my blog before.)

A couple of weeks ago i dropped Jane's order around to her house and with it i popped in a little thankyou card. Here it is:

For those of you who are regular Crafty ThINKer blog followers will recognise this card layout as being very similar to that of the card i demo'd earlier in the month for the Aldershot WI group.

The cardbase is 'Crumb Cake' card. I ran some 'Pool Party' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder'. Next i glued a strip of the 'Sale-a-bration' 'Everyday Enchantment DSP' (which i handsnipped at the end). I then ran a piece of 'Very Vanilla' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Textured Impression Embossing Set' and cut out the oval by hand. I punched a butterfly from some 'Pool Party' card using thr 'Butterfly Punch', drew on the antennae using a 'Lucky Limeade' 'Stampin' Write Marker' and placed a couple of 'Basic Pearls' down the centre of the butterfly.

Finally the sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set), stamped using 'Pear Pizzazz' ink onto 'Pear Pizzazz' card. Punched out using the 'Word Window' punch and a couple of teeny tiny 'Basic pearls' placed either side!

Jane really liked her card. It's important to me that each of my customers feels valued because they really are!! In fact i owe Jane a second thankyou card as she kindly gave me two tickets to the Make-it show next weekend!! Looking forward to going and most probably spending lots of money!!!

A note of thanks from Jade!

A couple of weeks i helped Jade out at her craft coffee morning - i say helped i didn't really at all - i 'supervised' the make and take table but all of her guests knew what they were doing so i got to make a lovely card myself (see my Valentines Day post to view the card we made!)

To say thankyou for my assistance Jade gave me this beautiful card made with the 'Just Believe' stampset:

The cardbase for this make is 'Crumb Cake', on which she has layered some 'Tempting Turquoise DSP' on which she has rounded the corners usig the 'Corner Rounder'. She stamped the image and sentiment using in 'Early Espresso' ink onto some 'Whisper White' card, adding some 'Basic Rhinestones' to add a little bling! She finished off the card with a little (non-Stampin' Up! ribbon)

Jade, for some reason seems to think that i dislike the 'Just Believe' stampset - but she couldn't be more wrong. She has made so many beautiful projects with it that i'm completely in love with it! It's a completely versatile set and the sentiments within it means you can make a card for almost any occassion with it. This stampset can be found on page 61 of the catty!!

Don't forget if you want to make an order just drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Get Well Soon!!

What with the freezing cold weather there's a lot of people with coughs and sniffles and so recently i have made a few 'get well soon' cards. Here's one that i made using the 'Charming' stampset from the 'Spring Mini Catalogue' - it's becoming a bit of a favourite of mine:

Onto a 'Wisteria Wonder' cardbase i layered a piece of 'Whisper White' card which has been run through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'. Onto a pieced of 'Wisteria Wonder' card i stamped the get well sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset) inked in 'Wisteria Wonder' - i punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch' and placed a couple of teeny tiny 'Basic Pearls' either side of the sentiment.

On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the flower image from the 'Charming' stampset using 'Calypso Coral' and 'Lucky Limeade' 'Stampin' Write Markers', mounted this onto some 'Calypso Coral' card and then onto a larger piece of 'Wisteria Wonder' card which i edged with the 'Eyelet Border Punch'.

New Crafty Boots Challenge: Food Glorious Food!

Hey all, it's Monday :( Back to work today after a super halfterm, but here's something to cheer you all up - it's that time again - time for another Crafty Boots Challenge - and this one is a special one because i got to pick the theme, which this fortnight is 'Food Glorious Food', so we want to see all your food related crafty creations!!

And here is my DT offering using the fab 'Crazy For Cupcakes' stampset:

I made this card for my cousins daughter Summer who turns one this week!! To start with i stamped the cupcake image (using 'Basic Black' ink) onto some 'Whisper White' card and then drew around the outline with 'Melon Mambo' and 'Regal Rose' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I coloured in the sprinkles using 'Wisteria Wonder' and 'Melon Mambo' markers and placed a few 'Basic Pearls' on to add a little bling! I stamped out the candle and the flame again onto some more 'Whisper White' card, coloured them in using 'Wisteria Wonder' and 'Daffodil Delight' 'Stampin' Write Markers', cut them out and then raised them using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect!! I glued the cupcake image onto a piece of 'Regal Rose' card and then placed the sentiment (also from the 'Crazy for Cupcakes' set) inked in 'Melon Mambo', mounted onto some 'Melon Mambo' card and then glued underneath the cupcake image! All of this was glued onto a square of 'Wisteria Wonder' card and along the left of the image i a column of shapes punched out using the 'Word Window' punch (from 'Whisper White', 'Regal Rose' and 'Melon Mambo' card.) This was mounted onto a larger square of 'Melon Mambo' card and then all placed onto a square 'Whisper White' cardbase!

I hope Summer loves this card and has a fabulous 1st birthday!!!

Just For You Nan...

Sometimes it is important for someone to know that you're there for them and there is no better way than making them a handmade card to let them know you're there for them no matter what... and that's exactly why i made my Nan this card:

I created an 'Elegant Eggplant' cardbase (folded at the top) and embossed the bottom half of the card using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'. I ran a piece of 'Lucky Limeade' 'Ruffled Ribbon' along the middle of the card. On a piece of 'Very Vanilla' card i stamped the flower image from the 'Charming' stampset using 'Lucky Limeade' and 'Elegant Eggplant' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. I stamped the 'just for you' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny wishes' stampset, using 'Elegant Eggplant' ink. I mounted this onto 'Elegant Eggplant' card and then onto a piece of 'Lucky Limeade' card. before sticking it to the cardbase using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect.

There's nothing quite like a handmade card to show someone you care. So why not get your craft stash out and make someone you love a card! And if you like any of the products you see featured on this card then ehy not email over an order: amyjtidd@gmail.com (Don't forget if you make an order of £45 or more before 31st March you're entitled to a free Sale-a-bration' stampset or pack of papers - and i'll throw in FREE P&P - usually £4.95 - free P&P is an exclusive CraftyThINKer customer deal!!)

Thinking Of You Grandad...

Last month would have been my Grandads birthday. I still like to make a card and drop it down to the crematorium with some flowers to let him know that i'm thinking of him. I made him a card using the 'Charming' stampset from the new Spring Catalogue and here it is:

On three squares of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the round image from the 'Charming' stampset, placed a large 'Basic Pearl' in the centre of each one. I mounted all three onto slightly larger squares of 'Concord Crush' card and placed them on a 'Whisper White' cardbase.

On a seperate piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the 'thinking of you' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset, using 'Conceord Crush' ink, punched this out using the 'Word Window Punch' and then mounted this onto a strip of 'Concord Crush' card, which i handsnipped to create the flag-shape at the end.

I think about my Grandad everyday and a handmade card is a special way of showing how much i love and miss him.

Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card!

Hi all, today i have a birthday card to share with you that i made for my Grandad-in-laws birthday, which was a couple of days ago. February is a completely busy birthday month for hubby's side of the family so i have had a very crfaty few weeks!!

This card shows another fab way of using the 'Create-a-Cupcake' stampset and 'Cupcake Punch' to create this fab hot air balloon:

The cardbase is 'Marina Mist' on which a square of 'Bashful Blue' card was placed on the base. The 'happy birthday' sentiment is from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' which has been inked in 'Marina Mist'. The clouds have been created using the icing part of the 'Cupcake Punch' from 'Whisper White' card, which i ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder' to give them a bit of texture.

On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped (in 'Chocolate Chip' ink) the cupcake base (from the 'Create a Cupcake' stampset) and punched out using the 'Cupcake Punch', i glued this into place to create the balloons basket!

Next i punched four '1-3/4" Circles' from 'Big Top Birthday DSP' folded each of them in half and then glued them all toegther to create the 3D hot air balloon. Here's a close up:

Finally using a ruler and a 'Real Red' 'Stampin' Write Marker' i drew on by hand some ropes and bows to connect the balloon and basket!

I just love finding fresh ways of using my punches and the 'Cupcake Punch' is proving to be so versatile!!! Why not get your punches out and have a go at creating something less conventional with your punches!! Punchart is so fun - give it a go today! And if you don't have many punches why not take a look at pages 116 - 119 of the Stampin' Up Catalogue and pages 20 and 22 of the Spring Mini catalogue to update your collection!!

Angry Bird Pig Card!!

Hey all, hope you're having a good week! I'm on halfterm at the moment and having a pretty relaxing week. I'm off this afternoon for lunch with hubby, my sister and my nan. But before i go i want to share with you another Angry Birds inspired card that i made for my hubby's other twin brother, James. (It was their birthday yesterday.)

This card features an Angry Bird pig:

This card started life as a 'Soft Suede' cardbase. On a piece of 'Whisper White' i sponged 'Bashful Blue' ink all over using a 'Sponge Dauber' and the icing part of the 'Cupcake Punch' as a template to create the cloud effect. Along the bottom of the piece of white i glued in place a strip of 'Garden Green' card, handsnipped to create a grass effect.

The pig himself was created from 'Pear Pizzazz' card (and some tiny snippets of 'Whisper White' and 'Basic Black') and a range of punches: '1-3/8" Circle Punch', '1/2" Circle Punch', 'Owl Punch' and the 'Crop-a-Dile' (to create his nostrils and eyes). I drew on by hand his eyebrows and his pupils with a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker'.

The wooden structure was created from some 1cm strips of 'Soft Suede' card glued into place.

The sentiment is from the fab 'Sale-a-bration' stampset 'Elementary Elegance', stamped using 'Soft Suede' ink onto some 'Whisper White' card and then punched out using the 'Decorative Label' punch. I bordered the sentiment using 'Pear Pizzazz' card and the 'Decorative Label' punch.

The twins seemed very impressed with their Angry bird inspired birthday cards! Why not get your punches out and have a go at some punchart! You'll be amazed what you can create from a few punches used in a creative way!!

Don't have any punches to play with? Then why not browse through the Stampin' Up! catalogue and treat yourself!! Don't forget if you make an order before the end of March and it is £45 or more you will also be entitled to a FREE stampset or pack of papers. (I will also give you FREE P&P - RRP £4.95 - this is a CraftythINKer customer exclusive!) Email your order over today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Angry Bird Birthday Card!

It's my twin brother-in-law's birthday today. I always find it hard to make cards for men, especially younger guys. So i thought i'd browse the web for inspiration and found a fab online video tutorial to create a punchart angry bird card, which is absolutely perfect for any gadget fanatic!! The tutorial has been created by an American Stampin' Up! demo called Tami and does use one or two products not available in the UK and unfortunately i didn't have all the right tools in my craft collection so had to improvise a bit, even so i'm still very happy with the final result:

I'm not going to write a detailed tutorial on here because Tami's tutorial is so fab, so click here to access it.

However here is a list of the Stampin' Up! materials i used:
  • 'Soft Suede' card - for the cardbase.
  • 'Whisper White' card for the background.
  • 'Bashful Blue' ink, a 'Sponge Dauber' and the icing part from the 'Cupcake Punch' (as a cloud template) to create the sky background.
  • Some 'Garden Green' card snipped to create the grass.
  • 'Word Window Punch' and an elastic band to create the catapult.
  • A 'Red Riding Hood' and a 'Crumb Cake' '1-3/8" Circle', five 'Basic Black' strips and two 'Red Riding Hood' strips created made from the candle part of the 'Cupcake Punch', some hand-snipped 'Pumpkin Pie' card for the beak, two 'Whisper White' circles punched from the 'Cupcake Punch' and two teeny tiny 'Basic Black' circles created using the 'Crop-a-dile'.
  • The 'happy birthday' and the 'Brother' sentiment are both from the 'For My Family' stampset, inked in 'Soft Suede' ink.
I just love punchart and really happy with the final card - i hope hubby's brother likes it too!! Check back tomorrow for another card made with Stampin' Up! products!

Happy Valentines Day!

Love is in the air!! It's Valentines Day!! What's great this year is that Valentines day falls on halfterm so i get to spend the whole day with my lovely hubby!!

Here's the valentines card i made for him, designed by the lovely Jade and made at her crafty coffee morning last week:

Isn't it such a completely cute card!! It started life as a 'Whisper White' cardbase, on which a piece of 'Real Red' card (ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder' has been layered on to. The sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set) was stamped in 'Real Red' onto a piece of 'Whisper White', punched out using the 'Word Window Punch' and stuck into place using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. Next we glued in place a 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' (created using the 'Big Shot') ontop of which we placed a 'Real Red' 'Top Note' (with the end trimmed off) We glued a 'Whisper White' '1-3/8" Circle' and then embossed the 'Top Note' and circle using the 'Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder'. Finally we punched two owls from 'Basic Black' card using the 'Owl Punch' and two branches from the 'Two Step Bird Punch' to create the lovebirds!! (the branches were glued down to the card and then the owls were raised using 'Dimensionals'.)

I just love this card and design - i think that this card is completely versatile and with a change of sentiment could be a fab wedding, anniversary or engagement card!!

Wishing you a fabulous Valentines Day!! I'd also like to take this opportunity to wish my Grandfather in law John a very happy birthday - February is a busy birthday month - it is also my twin brother in laws birthdays tomorrow so the next few days will feature birthday cards on my blog - so keep visiting back daily!!

Thankyou Jade!!

Those of you who follow this blog will often recongnise i mention someone called Jade. She is a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator who has become a good friend of mine. We're kind of like Stampin' Up! partners in crime, we bounce ideas off one another, share our craft stash and help one another out at crafty events. A week or two ago she kindly came over and helped me at my very busy crafty coffee morning. So i just had to make her a card to say thankyou and i used a new stampset from the new mini catalogue: 'Charming', which i'm finding is a completely versatile, elegant stampset:
Here's the card i made for the lovely Jade:

This card is a 'Red Riding Hood' base, on which i layered a piece of 'Soft Suede' card which i stamped one of the stamps randomly over, in 'Soft Suede' ink. On a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the script using 'Sahara Sand' ink, ontop of that i stamped the flower stamp using 'Lucky Limeade' and 'Red Riding Hood' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. i mounted this onto 'Red Riding Hood' card and then placed that onto the 'Soft Suede'. Finally i stamped the thankyou sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' stampset, inked in 'Soft Suede' onto 'Red Riding Hood' card punched out using the 'Word Window Punch' and just to finish off the card i added two teeny tiny 'Basic Pearls'!!

To return Jades favour last week i helped her out at her crafty coffee morning, whilst i was there i had the opportunity to make her 'make and take' project, which is a super cute valentine project using the 'Owl Punch'. I'm planning to give this card to hubby tomorrow and will also share it with you - so check back here tomorrow to see it!!

Outlined Occasions Valentine Card

Have you made your Valentine card yet?! If not then you really don't have long to get crafting!! Today i have a valentine card to share with you using the fab 'Sale-a-bration' stampset: 'Outlined Occasions' - maybe this card will give you some inspiration:

This card has all my favourite crafty elements - 'DSP', 'Punches', 'Stamping', 'Blender Pens' and 'Glitter'!!! Woo hoo! i love a bit of glitter!!!

So this card began like as a 'Basic Grey' cardbase. I layered a strip of 'Basic Grey' 'DSP' along the spine of the card. Next on a seperate piece of 'Whisper White' i stamped the 'Love' and 'be mine' sentiments using 'Basic Black' ink on the centre of the card. I coloured in the 'love' using 'Rose Red' ink and a 'Blender Pen'. Next i stamped 18 hearts out using the 'Small Heart Punch' from 'Real Red', 'Rose Red' and 'Pretty In Pink' card and glued them in place. Next i ran some 'Red Sticky Strip' down a small strip of 'Pretty In Pink' card and sprinkled over some 'Dazzling Diamond Glitter' and then put the card together!! I just love this card design so much!!

So get your craft stash out and make a card for the one you love!!! I have one more valentines card to share with you before the day - the card i'm giving to my hubby. (I made it at Jades crafty coffee morning and it features the fab 'Owl Punch' so make sure you keep visiting back to the Crafty ThINKer blog so you don't miss it!!!)

Celebrate 'Outlined Occasions' stampset!!

Woo hoo! Today is worth celebrating - it's my first day of half-term!! I'm hoping to have lots of time for crafting and can't wait to share with you all of my creations!

Today i have another card to share with you using the fab 'Outlined Occasions' stampset:

This is a 'Lucky Limeade' cardbase, which i have stamped the 'Dots, Dots, Dots' onto it to create a background. Next i ran some 'Basic Black' card through the 'Big Shot' , cleverly using the 'Bigz scallop Square Die' i created this central shape. On which i stamped the 'celebrate' sentiment from the 'Outlined Occasions' set using 'Versamark' and then 'Heat Embossed' it using 'Silver Embossing Powder' and then coloured it in using a 'White Uniball Signo Gel Pen'.

The two stars were made from 'Daffodil Delight' card, very cleverly using the '5-Petal Flower Punch', which i straightened each of the flower petals to transform it into a star shape!! Clever huh?! (Alternatively if you have a retired Stampin' Up! 'Star Punch' you could use that instead.) These were glued into place and then finally i added a bit of bling to the card with a couple of 'Basic Rhinestones'.

Check back tomorrow for a Valentine card created using the 'Outlined Occasion' stampset... if you haven't made a card for your loved one yet i think it should give you some inspiration!!

Everyday Enchantment DSP/ Outlined Occasions Card!

Hi all, today i have another beautiful card to share with you using two fab 'Sale-a-bration' goodies: the 'Everyday Enchantment DSP' and 'Outlined Occasions' stampset:

I just LOVE this card and the papers - it has such a 'Cath Kidston' feel to me!! These papers are just stunning and you can use them in so many different ways.

This card base is made from the beautiful 'Calypso Coral' On that i have layered two of the different 'Everyday Enchantment DSP' designs. Along the centre i have ran some of the lovely new ribbon that features in the mini catty: 'Very Vanilla' 'Velvet Designer Ribbon' - isn't it lush!!

I stamped the 'thanks' sentiment from the 'Outlined Occasions' stampset onto some 'Pool Party' card. I punched it out using the 'Oval Punch'. Using the 'Big Shot' i ran some 'Lucky Limeade' card through using the 'Textured Impressions Embossing Set', which i cut out by hand and then glued the 'Pool Party' oval in the centre. Actually quite a quick make but i just love it!!

Introducing 'Outline Occasions'...

So, over the next few days i'm going to share with you the fourth 'Sale-a-bration' stampset: 'Outlined Occasions':

This is such a fun and versatile set and over the next few days i'm going to show you four cards made with it... here's a sneak peek:

So here is card number one:

This little make is quick and simple. On a rectangle of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the 'thanks' stamp using 'Real Red' and 'Marina Mist' 'Stampin' Write Markers' and then coloured in using 'Real Red' and 'Daffodil Delight' 'Stampin' Write Markers'. Underneath that i stamped the 'so very much' sentiment again using the 'Stampin' Write Markers' to colour each work differently.

I punched a strip of 'Daffodil Delight' card using the 'Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch'. I glued that onto the edge of a 'Marina Mist' cardbase before gluing down the 'Whisper White' card.

Check back tomorrow to see another card project made using this fab set - andif you would like to get this stampset for FREE just email me a qualifying Stampin' Up! order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Aldershot Womans Institute Workshop - tonight!

Hi all! I've just got back from Aldershot Womans Institute Group where i was demonstrating Stampin' Up! products and then we made two make and takes!
The projects that i demonstrated were variations of 'Sale-a-bration' cards that i have shared with you recently using the 'Fresh Vintage' stampset, the 'Elementary Elegance' stampset and the beautiful 'Everyday Enchantment DSP'.

Here's the first card we made using the 'Big Shot', 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder' and the 'Textured Impression Embossing Set':

The cardbase used on this card is 'Crumb Cake', the embossed background has been made from 'Pool Party' card and the sentiment has been stamped in 'Early Espresso' ink onto 'Very Vanilla' card.

Here's the second card:

The cardbase has been made from 'Pear Pizzazz' card. On a piece of 'Crumb Cake' we stamped the floral stamp from the 'Fresh Vintage' stampset using 'Crumb Cake' ink. The borders have been punched using 'Calypso Coral' punched using the 'Eyelet Border Punch'. The butterflies have been punched using the 'Butterfly Punch' from 'Everyday Enchantment DSP', with some 'Linen Thread' tied around each one, and a 'Basic Pearl' placed in the centre. Finally the sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set) has been inked onto a piece of 'Pear Pizzazz' card and punched out using the 'Word Window Punch', with a couple of teeny tiny 'Basic Pearls' placed either side.

I had a brilliant evening and loved that the ladies made the design their own! I really wish i took my camera to take some pics of their wonderful creations!!

Some of the ladies left me a couple of lovely comments:

'Many thanks for a great evening with Stampin' Up!'

'I don't do crafty things but i did make two cards with Stampin' Up!'

I had such an enjoyable evening and the time just flew by! If you live local to the Aldershot area why not pop along and attend a meeting. The group meets on the second Wednesday of every month at St. Joseph's Church Hall Queens Road Aldershot.

Hello... 'Elementary Elegance'

Hello ... 'Elementary Elegance'!

Onto a square of 'Very Vanilla' i stamped the frame stamp from the 'Elementary Elegance' using 'Early Espresso' ink and then punched out the centre of the card using the 'Curly Label Punch'. I then mounted this onto a piece of 'Night of Navy' card and then punched out the 'Curly Label' again. On a strip of 'Very Vanilla' card i stamped the 'hello' sentiment using 'Early Espresso' ink and handsnipped on edge. On a small scrap of 'Very Vanilla' i stamped the crown from the set using 'Night of Navy' ink, cut it out by hand and glued it into place. I mounted all of this onto a 'Tangerine Tango' base.

I just love this design because you can pop a picture or image into the frame to completely customise this design!! You can of course change the sentiment as well to suit the purpose of the card!

Sale-a-bration: Elementary Elegance Showcase Continues...

I'm completely in love with the Sale-a-bration stampsets on offer from Stampin' Up this year! There are four stampsets and a beautiful collection of papers up for grabs and all for FREE with a qualifying order!!

At the moment i'm showcasing the beautiful 'Elementary Elegance' stampset, so here's another card for you to enjoy:

To start a 'Peach Parfait' cardbase with the 'Dots,Dots,Dots' stamp inked in the same colour ink. Ona piece of 'Whisper White' i stamped the frame stamp from the 'Elementary Elegance' stampset using 'Pool Party' ink, which i cut out by hand.

To create the paper ribbon you  take a strip of card - in this incident 'Indigo Island' card and fold it under and then back out and cut a 'v' in each end. This is a cheap and easy way to make 'ribbon' for any card or project. Plus a great way to use up all those odds and ends you've got stashed in a box!!! On a pice of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment in 'Lucky Limeade' ink and then punched it out using the 'Curly Label Punch', raising it using a 'Dimensional' to create a 3D effect. On a small scrap of 'Whisper White' i stamped the cute little butterfly from the set in 'Peach Parfait', cut it out by hand and glued it in place.

This card not only shows off the fab 'Elementary Elegance' set, but also this years brilliant 'In Colors'!!
