Hi all, hope you're having a great week! I have another makeover project to share with you. I've been having a lot of fun recently craft 'pimping' everyday items. Today i have turned some regular binder clips (found in any stationary shop):
Into some photo/ card holders. That look just like this:
I used some 'Melon Mambo', 'Pacific Point' and 'Daffodil Delight' 'Brights DSP' and wrapped them around the binder clips, using some 'Red Sticky Strip' to glue the 'DSP' in place. I finally embellished the clips with a 'Daffodil Delight', 'Rose Red' and 'Tempting Turquoise' 'Designer Buttons'.
Here's a pic of the card holder in action (holding my Cat in the Hat card - which i made quite some time ago but i know was very popular with the CraftyThINKer blog followers, so deserved a return showcase!!):
I'm really happy with the final products and intend to use these to display my cards at craft workshops, classes and fairs! But you could use them for displaying photographs, or even at weddings/dinner parties for place cards!

Crafty Boots Challenge: Bowtastic!
Another fortnight has passed and it is Crafty Boots Challenge time again! This fortnights theme is 'Bowtastic'. So my DT offering this challenge is a 'Bright' parcel giftcard holder:
A very simple design (which is a variation of a past make - click here to view) created from a strip of 'Real Red' cardstock, cleverly stuck in place with some super 'Red Sticky Tape'. I have layered some spotty 'Pacific Point' 'DSP' and stripy 'Real Red' 'DSP' onto the base to make it look more gift parcel like...
I've punched a '1-3/8" Circle' out of 'Pacific Point' cardstock to create a fastener and placed a 'Real Red' 'Designer Button' in the centre with a 'Basic Pearl' in the centre of that! (I popped some velcro on the back to keep the giftcard inside nice and safe!)
Finally i popped a big 'Real Red' 'Satin Ribbon' bow on top!!
All the products that i have used are from the Stampin' Up! range and available to purchase through me! There are online versions of the the two catalogues on the righthand side of my blog - if you would like to make an order email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Fathers Day Sports Car Card!
Hey all, only a month or so until the UK Fathers Day ... have you created your cards for this special day yet?
Sometimes i can't help but think Dad's get a little over looked - so it is lovely to spoil Dad for one day of the year! Why not treat him to a handcrafted card?!
Today i have a card that Jade designed at a recent crafty crop we had - i couldn't resist CASEing it!
This card layout is perfect for masculine cards and actually very quick to create. On a piece of 'Whisper White' card stamp the sentiment (from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set) into the top corner (i used 'Early Espresso' ink) Stamp the card image (from the 'Need For Speed' set in the centre. On a seperate piece of card stamp the car image again, colour it in (I used a 'Real Red' 'Stampin' Write Marker') and then cut it out and layer it over the other image using some 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect! I mounted this onto a piece of 'Real Red' card.
On an 'Early Espresso' base i glued a piece of 'Pacific Point' 'DSP' (which i handsnipped into a snakes tongue shape) and then glued the car image to create the centre point.
The great thing is with a change of sentiment it could be a suitable birthday card:
I LOVE the 'Need For Speed' stampset - such a fab set to create cards and other gifts for the men in your life!!

Owl Pirate Card!
Yep... thats right today i have an owl pirate card to share with you - just another way you can use the fab 'Owl Punch'!
I ran a ‘Marina Mist’ cardbase through the ‘Big Shot’ using
the ‘Stripes Embossing Folder’ to add some texture.
Next up i ran some 'Early Espresso' card through the 'Big Shot using the 'Textured Impression Embossing Set' to create the frame. I then inserted a piece of 'Whisper White' card inside. Next i punched out the owl using the 'Owl Punch' (Body = 'Early Espresso', Body = 'Night of Navy', Stump and eyes = 'Crumb Cake', Eye = 'Whisper White', Pupils amd Eye-Punch = 'Basic Black'. I placed three 'Brads' to create buttons and glued the pirate owl together using the '2-way glue pen' (ideal for intricate gluing!) Here's a closeup of the owl:
Finally i ran some 'Early Espresso' along the bottom of the card, stamped the sentiment (from 'Petite Pairs', punched out using '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and mounted onto a 'Night of Navy' 'Scallop Circle'.
This
‘Owl Punch’ is brilliant and there is so much you can do with it – why not add
it to your next order? Email over your orders today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Jades Pinata Card!
Hey all, sorry i didn't post last night but i have a good excuse! Last night we went for a 3D scan and saw our beautiful baby boy!! I'll post a pic soon!
Anyway today has also been a very busy day. Today my upper sixth students left college and on top of that i went to Jades this evening and we made this card:
Onto a 'Whisper White' cardbase we layered a piece of 'Pool Party' card that has been ran throught the 'Big Shot' using the 'Stripes Embossing Folder'. We then edged a piece of 'Calypso Coral' using the 'Scallop Trim Border Punch' and then glued it into place. We ran some 'Calypso Coral' and 'Whisper White' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Labels Collection Framelits Die' and layered them.
On another piece of 'Whisper White' card we stamped the pinata image from the 'Packed For Birthday' stamp using 'Indigo Island' ink, we coloured in the image using 'Calypso Coral' and 'Pool Party' 'Stampin' Write Markers', which we cut out and then secured it into place using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. Finishing it off with a handtied bow of 'Linen Thread' glued into place!
Finally the sentiment has been stamped using the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set - using 'Calypso Coral' ink. We punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch' and secured it using 'Dimensionals'.
The new 'Packed for Birthday' stamp is AMAZING! It's such a useful stamp which can be used in so many ways! And the great thing is that it retails at just £8.95!!!
You can use the stamp as a whole or alternatively selectively ink individual images using 'Stampin' Write Markers'! If you'd like to order this stamp drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Onto the 'Whisper White' 'Top Note' shape i stamped the foilage image from the 'Wedding Sweet' stampset, using 'Pear Pizzazz' ink and then placed some teeny tiny 'Basic Pearls' over the little dots!
I then ran some 'Blushing Bride' cardstock through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, creating the cute little butterflies!
Finally i stamped the 'congratulations' sentiment - also from the 'Wedding Sweet' set ink 'Pear Pizzazz'. (You may also notice that i wrapped a piece of 'Pear Pizzazz' 'Seaming Ribbon' around the spine of the card!!

Punch-Art Cat! (Featuring the amazing 'Owl Punch')
Hey all! Hope you;re having a good week! Today i have a card to share with you that i made at a recent 'Bird Punch' class that Jade hosted:
You will notice this card is very similar to the piggy card i shared with you last week! (Click here to view this card)
The card base is 'Whisper White' and we cleverly used a
'Crop-A-Dile' to punch holes down the left hand side of the card and then weaved a
length of 'Early Espresso' 'Grosgrain Ribbon' through the holes and then back again
and tied in a knot. I just love this technique - even if it is a little fidderly!!
Next we punched a 'Scallop Circle', from the 'Halloween DSP' (with the black cats) and then mounted a 'Whisper White' '1'3/8" Circle, which we embossed with the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder' using the trusty 'Big Shot'

Next up we created the punch-art cat:
His head has been created using the 'Owl Punch' - the owls body, with its feet chopped
off, created from 'Soft Suede' card! His features have been punched also from the 'Owl Punch' and handdrawn using a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. Clever huh?!
Finally the friend sentiment (from the 'For My Family' set) has been stamped in 'Early Espresso' in onto a strip of 'Soft Suede' cardstock - which we handsniped into shape!
I just LOVE this card and the fabulous 'Owl Punch' - it is super versatile!! I can't stop using it!! If you want to order it for yourself then email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Today is a day for anniversaries! Not only is it my Dad and Step-Mum's anniversary, it is also our friends Rob and Iwonas first anniversary today too! (Click here to view the card i made them - it featured on my Saturday blogpost)
So today i have the card i made for my Dad and Marg to share with you:
I made this card at Jades bird punch class a couple of weekends ago, so i can't take any credit for this beautiful card. Here's the details:
Firstly we folded a 'Bashful Blue' cardbase. We placed three 'Basic Pearls' down one side to add a bit of bling! Next up we ran some 'Island Indigo' and 'Bashful Blue' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Labels Collection Framelits Dies'. We ran the smaller frame throught he 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder'. We punched two birds out of some 'Whisper White' card using the 'Two Step Bird Punch' (notice we raised the wings using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect! We glued the birds into place, resting them on two 'Island Indigo' branches (also created from the 'Two Step Bird Punch'. Finally we stamped the sentiment, from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set and punched it out using the 'Word Window Punch'.
I hope my Dad and Step-Mum have a lovely anniversary - i'm sure they will as they're off on holiday to Malta - lucky things!!
If you wanna order any of these lovely products then email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Happy Birthday Dad!
Today is my Dad's birthday! So today i have his birthday card to share with you - using the fab 'Need For Speed' stampset. I have specifically chosen the quad bike image because it is my Dad's dream to own one. One day i hope his dream comes true but for now he'll have to make do with having this card instead!!!
On an 'Early Espresso' cardbase, i glued a piece of 'Pumpkin Pie DSP which has been mounted onto some 'Old Olive cardstock. Next up i stamped the quad bike image (in 'Early Espresso' ink) from the 'Need For Speed' set and painted it using 'Old Olive' ink and a 'Blender Pen'. I cut this out and then secured it onto a larger piece of 'Whisper White' cardstock using 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the 'For My Family' stampset in the righthand corner and then mounted this onto a piece of 'Old Olive' card and then glued this onto the cardbase. I finished this card by stamping the 'dad' sentiment (also from the 'For My Family' set) and mounted it onto a piece of 'Early Espresso' securing it with a couple of 'Dimensionals'.
I just love the 'Need For Speed' stampset - it is such a perfect set to create masculine cards - a good one for Fathers Day!
It's not too late to order this set in time for Fathers Day creating - email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com
I hope my dad likes his card and has a fab day! Love you Dad. xxx

Wedding RSVP For Kat and Gary!
In August a friend of mine Kat will be getting married. She is busily planning her wedding and it sounds like it's going to be a lovely day. Her wedding day is very close to our due date so currently we are unsure if we're going to be able to attend, however i wanted to send her an RSVP nethertheless. So here it is:
Onto a 'Bashful Blue'' base (folded at the top) i have invert embossed the cardbase using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder'. Next up a ran a piece of 'Pink Pirouette' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Manhatten Rose Embossing Folder' and glued this to the cardbase. I ran some 'Bashful Blue' card through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Timeless Type Alphabet Die' to cut out the RSVP letters and glued them onto the card. Finally i popped a little of bling to the top righthand corner using some 'Basic Pearls'.

Get Well Soon! A Nurse Owl Card!
Hey all, back today with another card that we created at Jade's fab 'Owl Punch' card class last Sunday! And i have to say i just LOVE IT!
On a 'Crumb Cake' cardbase we stamped the 'to make it better' sentiment from the 'Petite Pairs' stampset - inked in 'Early Espresso' ink.
The owl nurses body has been punched from 'Early Espresso' card, the body from 'Whisper White' card. Her hat was also created from an owl body turned upside down. We punched three small hearts using the punch from 'Real Red' card, placing one on her body and the other two very cleverly used to create the cross on her hat! Her eyes were made from 'Whisper White' and 'Basic Black' card, her eyelids from 'Blushing Bride' card. Here's a little close-up of this caring owl nurse:
The great thing about this card is you literally need the punch, some card, glue and a sentiment to create it! Easy Peasy!
I have sent this card to a friend of mine Kim, who has not been well recently - suffering from shingles. Unfortunately she was unable to attend my crafty open house Saturday because of this - i hope this card cheers her up a little!!
To order the bird punch and any other Stampin' Up products just email over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Crafty Boots Challenge: Good Luck!
Hey all!!! As you may know - for my full time job i'm a teacher - so this fortnights Crafty Boots Challenge is completely relevant to me! This week my AS students will be sitting their first exam!! AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! And of course i want to wish them the best of luck. So for this challenge i created some Good Luck bunting to hang in my classroom!!! And i made it all using my trusty 'Perfect Pennants Die' - bunting made nice and quickly with a roll of the 'Big Shot'!!:
I went with a 'Regal Rose', 'Melon Mambo', 'Rich Razzleberry' and 'Old Olive' colour combo. Chopping the large triangles out of cardstock using the 'Perfect Pennants Die' and the 'Big shot'. Then smaller triangles from a range of stripey and polkadot 'Brights DSP'. The letters have been stamped from the coordinating inks onto 'Whisper White' card using the brilliant 'Broadsheet Alphabets' stampset:
I punched these out and mounted them onto the bunting using a range of punches: '1 1/4" Circle Punch', '1-3/8" Circle Punch', '1-3/$" Circle Punch', 'Scallop Circle Punch' and the 'Perfect Pennant Die'. Here's close ups of each of the individual bunting triangles:

Many Ways To Use An Owl Punch! A Pig Card!
Hey all! I have had an amazingly crafty day today!! This morning i attended Jades 'Owl Punch' card - where she shared a range of ways you can use the punch alternatively to the typical owl creation!!! I just LOVE this punch, it's certainly very versatile!!:
We started with a 'Whisper White' square cardbase. Using a 'crop-a-dile' we punched holes down the spine of the card and double weaved a piece of 'Early Espresso' 'Grosgrain Ribbon' through and finished it off with a bow.
Next we punched a 'Scallop Circle' from some 'Soft Suede' card and then mounted a '1-3/8 Circle' of 'Whisper White' card embossed with the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder'.
The pig was cleaverly created using the 'Owl Punch' (from 'Blushing Bride' cardstock). The head was created from the owl (with its feet chopped off). His eyes and nose also created using the punch. The pigs trotters were created from the owls belly (turned upside down). We glued all of this into place - using 'dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. We added in some detail using a 'Basic Black' 'Stampin' Write Marker'. Here's a close-up of the little porker:
Finally we stamped the sentiment from the 'All In The Family' stampset, which we handsnipped to create a banner.
I loved this punch already - but now utterly obsessed with this punch!!! I didn't realise how many things you could do with it!!
After the class i stayed and crafted with Jade all afternoon - coming up with even more 'Owl Punch' cards and lots more - i can't wait to share these with you! Thanks Jade for a completely enjoyable day!
If you want to add this punch to your crafty stash then why not make an order. Email me over your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

The much 'Twitterpated' Mini Catalogue Card!!
Hey everyone! I have had a completely enjoyable day today, hosting my crafty open house to celebrate the launch of the Summer Mini Catalogue!! I had advertised 11am - 2pm but most of the ladies stayed until 4.30 and we had lots of fun chatting and crafting! Thankyou very much to Poppy, Lucy, Audrey, Suzanne and Jade for making today so much fun!
The card that i provided for my make and take project was designed by the lovely Julie and featured several products from the fab new mini catalogue, including the beautiful (Kath Kidston style) 'Twitterpated Fabric'. So here it is:
On a 'Baja Breeze' cardbase we embossed the lovely hearts from the 'Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Adorning Accents' - i completely LOVE these folders and they are a welcomed addition to my craft stash!:
Next up we used the 'Big Shot' to cut some 'Blushing Bride' and 'Whisper White' card using the 'Labels Collection Framelit Dies', embossing down the centre with the hearts die!
Next up we created the beautiful fabric butterfly! We mounted some of the 'Twitterpated Fabric' onto some card using 'Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' and then used the 'Big Shot' and the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die to cut the butterfly out. Before gluing him into place we tied some 'Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine' around him to create the antennae.
I just love the 'Twitterpated Fabric' - such a beautiful colour combo and i love the idea of using fabric on card - something i intend to do A LOT of in future, here's a close up of the three beautiful designs:
We finished off the card by adding the sentiment from the 'Apothecary Art' stampset (which coordinates with the ''Labels Collection Framelit Dies'):
We inked the sentiment using 'Red Riding Hood' ink and then very cleverly used the 'Heart Punch' to create the unusual sentiment banner - i love a new way of using an old punch!!!
I hope you like this card and it has inspired you to have a peak through the mini catalogue - you will find an electronic versions of this on the righthand side of my blog - let me know if you would like to make an order: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Need For Speed!!
Hey all, today i have another masculine card to share with you, featuring the brilliant stampset from the main catalogue - 'Need For Speed':
I created the background by running a piece of aluminium foil through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder', tearing it a little and then mounting it onto a 'Night Of Navy' cardbase.
On a piece of 'Real Red' card i stamped the car image using 'Night of Navy' ink. I cut this out using one of the 'Framelits Label Collection' and then mounted it onto a larger label from 'Night of Navy' card (also cut with the 'Label Framelits' Die) and secured it into place using 'dimensionals' to create a 3D effect.
I stamped the sentiment from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' set using 'Real Red' ink (onto 'Whisper White' card, snipped this into a flag shape, then mounted this onto 'Real Red' and then 'Night Of Navy' card. I punched two hole using a 'Crop-a-dile' and placed 'Real Red' 'Brads' through them, before securing it in place also using 'dimensionals'.
I just love this stampset - a perfect set for Father Day!!

The Open Sea
Hey all, today i have had a completely busy day... work this morning, my Uncle Alberts funeral this afternoon, and a 3D baby scan this evening - unfortunately Baby Tiddlywink didn't feel like posing so we have to go back and try again but it was most definately confirmed that he is a BOY!!
Anyway, today i have a card to share with you that i made at my crafty friend Fionas Mini Catalogue launch party last Saturday, featuring the wonderfully masculine 'The Open Sea' stampset:
Here's the card we created:
Onto a 'Baja Breeze' cardbase and layered a piece of 'Island Indigo' cardstock, on which we stamped the ship image (also in 'Island Indigo' ink) The "manifesto" was stamped twice in 'Soft Suede' onto a piece of 'Naturals Ivory' and then we tore the paper so that the ship image that would have been underneath could be seen. The globe image was stamped in Island Indigo and a couple of 'More Mustard' compasses were added for good measure.
The greeting comes from the 'Curly Cute' stampset and we stamped this in 'More Mustard' before cutting the card so that it looks like a banner. Finished off with a 'Brad'.
I just love this card! And this stampset has so many uses! Perfect for mens cards and especially Father Day Cards!! If you love this stampset as much as i do why not drop me an email and make an order: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Another Apothecary Art Card!
Hey all, hope you all survived work today! Been a bit stressful?! Then why not get your crafty kit out?
Today i have another card created using the 'Apothecary Art' card to share with you - you'll notice the colours are very similar to the card shared yesterday as i made it at the same time and was quite taken with the 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive' colour combo!!
A crafty friend of mine Fiona taught me how to make cards of this layout. The cardbase has been create from a piece of 'Calypso Coral' with several pieces of 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive' strips of card that have run through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'.
The shapes in the middle of the card have been created using the 'Framelits Dies: Labels Collection' from the new Summer Mini Catalogue, created from 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive' card:
I just love this range of Dies and they're so easy to use!! Notice that i rotated the smaller pieces and also ran them through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'.
Finally i stamped the image for the centre of the card from the 'Apothecary Art' stampset (using 'Calypso Coral' ink and cut it out with the smallest die in the collection!
I'm completely in love with this stampset and die - if you are too and would like to make an order - drop me an e-mail today!!: amyjtidd@gmail.com
(I will be using these Dies as part of the make and take project at my Crafty Open House this Saturday - so if you live near Aldershot and would like to come along and craft for FREE drop me an email for details!!)
