Hey all! I'd like to share with you today a way of using Stampin' Up! products to gift wrap:
Recently our friends Rob and Iwona went for their 20 week scan and found out they are also having a BOY!! woo hoo! A little playmate for our little man! I couldn't resist buying them a little blue wall hanging for their nursery when i was out shopping and wanted to wrap it - but couldn't not find a suitable gift tag so decided to make my own! I wrapped the gift in tulle and then recycled some ribbon i had lying about.
To create the gift tag i stamped the little feet image from the 'Baby Prints' stampset using 'Bashful Blue' ink and then stamped the 'it's a boy' sentiment over the top using 'Pacific Point' ink. I then cut this image out using my 'Big Shot' and a die from the 'Labels Collection Framelits Die'. I then punched a hole in the corner using my trusty 'Crop-a-Dile' and threaded it through the ribbon!! Making the perfect gift tag!!!

Crafty Boots Challenge: Postcards!
Hey all, i present to you all this fortnights Crafty Boots Challenge. Which this time has been set by Gabrielle. The challenge theme is: Postcards (think holidays, sand, sea and sun!)
I'm not gonna lie - i found this one a challenge. There are several Stampin' Up! stampsets i could have used but unfortunately didn't have them to hand, so i had to improvise and go down the holiday theme. This is what i came up with:
I've created a seaside themed 'step-card'. The cardbase is the appropriately named 'Pool Party' which i folded to create the three 'steps'.
The first step represents the sand and i cut and layered a piece of my hubbys sandpaper to create the texture. The shells have been stamped from the beautiful 'Natures Nest' stampset - i stamped these onto some 'Very Vanilla' cardstock using 'Soft Suede' ink and then layered them up on one another and placed a 'Basic Pearl' in the centre of the top one.
The sea layer is created from some aptly named 'Marina Mist' cardstock which i ran through the 'Big Shot' a few times using the 'Adorning Accent Embossing Folders' to create the embossed sea waves. I then stamped the cute little fishes (from the the fab 'Something Sweet' stampset) using 'Pumpkin Pie' ink onto some scraps of 'Whisper White' cut them out by hand and glued them in place.
To create the sky layer i worked with the 'Pool Party' base as the sky and created the two clouds by punching a piece of 'Whisper White' card using the 'Scallop Circle' punch and cutting it into two. I used my 'Bashful BBlue' Stampin' Write Marker' to add some detail to the edges of the cloud before gluing them to the base (the smaller cloud being attached in place using 'Dimensionals' to raise it up.)
Finally the sun has been created from 'Daffodil Delight' cardstock and 'Grosgrain Ribbon'. I punched out the card using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch' and then cut four pieces of ribbon and layered them behind to create the sunrays. I wrote the sentiment by hand using my 'Pumpkin Pie' 'Stampin' Write Marker'!
Hope you have time to have a go at this challenge - i can't wait to see all your creations! And make sure you check back to Crafty Boots Challenge Blog next fortnight as i have set the challenge and i think it will be a popular one!!
Don't forget if you want to rder any Stampin' Up! products feel free to email me: amyjtidd@gmail.com . Check out the fab August offer at the top of my blog and there are online catalogues available to view on the righthandside of this blog!!

A 'Mixed Bunch' card for Tori!
Hey all! Hope you're all having a lovely Summer! Today i have another card i made and gave out during the busy month of July but didn't have time to share with you... a birthday card for Tori, whose birthday it was on the 23rd.
I create an easel cardbase from some 'Night of Navy' card. I glued a piece of 'Melon Mambo' 'DSP' onto the cardbase. The flower was created by stamping the flower image from the 'Mixed Bunch' stampset onto 'Whisper White' card using 'Melon Mambo' ink. I punched it out using the coordinating 'Blossom Punch' and then layered it onto a 'Night of Navy' blossom, the leaves were also made using the punch from some 'Lucky Limeade' card, i glued these all into place and popped a 'Basic Rhinestone' in the centre to add a bit of bling!
I stamped the sentiment (from 'Petite Pairs') using 'Melon Mambo' and 'Night of Navy' 'Stampin' Write Markers' and punched it out using the 'Curly label Punch' mounting it onto a 'Melon Mambo' 'Curly Label Punch' cut in half. I secured this in place using 'Dimensionals' to create a device to prop up the easel card! Finally i stamped the circle image from the 'Mixed Bunch' set using 'Melon Mambo' ink and punched them out using the '3/4" Circle Punch', gluing them in place and finishing them off with a little more bling!!
I really hope Tori had a brilliant birthday and enjoyed the card! She has recently got the crafting bug so hopefully this will give her some inspiration to get crafty!!

Engagement Wishes for Lloyd and Katie!
July was a super busy month and i made so many cards i didn't have time to feature on my blog! Exciting news my cousin Lloyd popped the question to his girlfriend Katie and she of course said YES! So i made this engagement card to send to them:
On a 'Very Vanilla' base i layered up a strip of 'Cherry Cobbler' card and then a piece of 'DSP' from the 'Holly Berry Bouquet' collection, whih i embellished with some 'Basic Pearls'. I then cut a square of 'Cherry Cobbler' card and glued that onto the 'DSP'. I punched a 'Heart' from some 'Very Vanilla' card, which i ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Adorning Accents Embossing Folders' to create the cute heart texture!! and then glued it into place using some 'Dimensionals' to craete a 3D effect. Finally i stamped the congrats sentiment from the 'Tagtastic' stampset onto some 'Very Vanilla' card using 'Cherry Cobbler' ink, mounted it onto a slightly larger piece of 'Cherry Cobbler' card and then finally embellished the sentiment with some of the teeny 'Basic Pearls'.
Wishing Lloyd and Katie all the best for the future! Congratulations guys! xxxxxx
(And don't forget if you would like to order any of the products used to create this card drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com - you can view the catty online via the link on the righthand side of this blog!)

Punchart: Beer Mug Card!
Hey everyone! Yesterday was my step-dad Johns birthday. So i thought today i would share with you the punchart card that i made for him.
I have to be honest it is not an original idea. I followed a tutorial by Tami White change a couple of the punches and the embossing folder Tami used as i didn't have them to hand! So here's the card:
I have to be honest it is not an original idea. I followed a tutorial by Tami White change a couple of the punches and the embossing folder Tami used as i didn't have them to hand! So here's the card:
The cardbase is 'Whisper White' on which i layered a piece of 'Early Espresso' card which i ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Square Lattice Embossing Folder' to create texture. The beer much has been made from 'Very Vanilla card (find the dimensionals by following Tami's tutorial - link above) and rounded the corners using the 'Corner Rounder', the handle is also made from 'Very Vanilla' card punched using '1-3/4" Circle Punch' (and i had to use a button lid to draw around as i didn't have the larger punch that Tami used) Next cut some strips of 'So Saffron' card and round the edges and glue them into place to make the beer!
The sentiment has been stamped from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' set onto some 'Whisper White Card and then mounted onto some 'Early Espresso' and glued into place.
Finally i had to make the beer froth! This was created by punching shapes out of some 'Very Vanilla' cardtsock using the '1-3/8" Circle Punch', '1-1/4" Circle Punch' and '1/2" Circle Punch', which i edged using a 'Sponge Dauber' loaded up with some 'So Saffron' ink and then arranged them into place. (Note i used some 'Dimensionals' to raise some of the froth bubbles!!)
