Hey all! Sorry i haven't blogged in a while - i have been super busy being a Mummy! Crafty Boots Challenge: Tweet Tweet!
Hey all! Another Crafty Boots Challenge for you and this one has been set by ME!! The challenge is called 'Tweet Tweet' and what i'm looking for is a card that features a bird!!
I managed to actually find time in my very busy schedule of being a new mummy to make this card for my Mum's birthday, so here is my DT offering:
On an 'Island Indigo' cardbase i stamped the circle image from the 'Mixed Bunch' stampset to create a background. I then layered a strip of 'Whisper White' card and then a thinner strip of 'Elegant Eggplant' card ontop. Onto this i layered a 'Island Indigo' flower punched out using the 'Blossom Punch' and then ontop of this i stamped a flower image from the 'Mixed Bunch' set using 'Island Indigo' ink, punched it out using the stamp and secured it in place using 'Dimensionals' to raise it 3D. I embellished the flower using 'Basic Pearls.
Next i cut a strip of 'Island Indigo' card and punched along on edge using the 'Eyelet Border Punch' and glued this across the card. On top of which i layered a piece of 'Whisper White' card with a sentiment stamped on it from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' set (inked in 'Elegant Eggplant')
Finally to comply with the bird element of the challenge i punched two birds out using the 'Bird Builder Punch'. I stamped the centre of the flower image from the 'Mixed Bunch' set onto the birds wings before securing them in place with 'Dimensionals' and placing some teeny 'Basic Pearls' in the centre. Finally i drew some eyes on the birds using my 'Elegant Eggplant' 'Stampin' Write Marker'.
I look forward to seeing your 'Tweet Tweet' birdy creations!! And don't forget if you want to make a stampin up order drop me an email: amyjtidd@gmail.com. DON'T FORGET THERE IS A PROMOTION ON THIS MONTH - CHECK OUT THE TOP OF THE BLOG FOR INFO ON HOW YOU CAN GET A FREE STAMPSET WITH YOUR ORDER!!

Up, Up and Away! A hot air balloon card!
Hey all! Last month my good friend Ruth came round for a crafty sesh! She shared with me a card that she had made for her hubby and as soon as i saw it i knew i just had to CASE it!
It features the 'Up, Up and Away' stampset - which is in the mini catalogue - and possibly only available until the end of this month! So if you LOVE don't forget to get your order in ASAP!
So heres the card:
This card started life as a 'Basic Grey' cardbase! I then found a piece of 'Baja Breeze card' which i stamped the clouds and bird images from the fab 'Up, Up and Away' stampset, using 'Basic Grey' ink (and three hot air balloon baskets) I coloured the clouds in using my 'Uniball White Gel Marker' and stamped the sentiment also in 'Basic Grey' ink. I glued this onto the card base and then underneath placed a piece of 'Basic Black' card which i ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Stripes Embosisng Folder' to create some texture, finishing it off with a strip of 'Daffodil Delight' 'Grosgrain Ribbon'.
I then stamped the balloons on some scraps of 'Whisper White' using 'Real Red' and 'Daffodil Delight' ink. I cut these out my hand and then secured them in place using 'Dimensionals' to raise them and make them 3D!
I just love this card and this stampset! So thankyou Ruth for sharing with me!! Don't forget if you would like to have this stampset in your crafty kit you really should order it this month as it features in the mini catalogue and there is no guarentee that it will feature in the new main catalogue. Don't miss out!! Email me your order today: amyjtidd@gmail.com AND don't forget there is a promo on throughout August - a free exclusive stampset - see the top of this blog for details!

A card for a Globe Trotter!
A while ago i attended a 'Big Shot' card class hosted by a fellow demo and good friend of mine Jade and here is one of the cards that we made:
I just love the colour combo Jade selected for this card: 'Elegant Eggplant', 'Old Olive' and 'Whisper White'. On an 'Elegant Eggplant' cardbase we layered an 'Old olive' 'Top Note' create using the 'Big Shot'. We then ran a piece of 'Whisper White' through the 'Big Shot' and trimmed around the perforated edge to create a smaller top note which we layered onto the 'Old Olive' one. We stamped the globe image from 'The Open Sea' onto it and then sentiment from 'Petite Pairs' using 'Elegant Eggplant' ink.

Crafty Boots Challenge: Babies!!
This months Crafty Boots Challenge is very relavant to me: Babies!! With Baby Tiddlywink due imminently i thought i'd share with you the baby announcement cards that i have made ready in advance:
These cards were super quick to make (which was just as well as i had to make quite a lot!!) and you will notice that i slightly altered the designs to make creating such large quantities more bearable!!
I started with 'Bashful Blue' cardbases (i managed to make 3 cards from every piece of A4 card) and embossed them using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Stripes Embossing Folder' to create texture and then placed three 'Basic Pearls' in the bottom corner of each card to add some bling!!
I then stamped the super cute baby feet from the 'Baby Prints' stampset onto some 'Whisper White' card using 'Bashful Blue' ink and then stamped the 'it's a boy' over the feet (also from the 'Baby Prints' stampset) using 'Pacific Point' ink and then ran it through the 'Big Shot' using a die from the 'Labels Collection Framelits Dies', using 'Dimensionals' to attach the image to the cardbase. Here's a close-up:
I finished these cards off by stamping the announcement image from the 'Little Additions' stampset using 'Pacific Point' ink:
I loved making these cards and can't wait to send them out to all our friends and family to announce the arrival of Baby Tiddlywink. If you're expecting your own little arrival why not consider making your own announcement cards - check out the catalogues for suitable materials and feel free to email me for advice and orders: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Baby Shower Candle!!
I can't believe i haven't posted this sooner. As you may well know a couple of weeks ago i had my baby shower and my friend Cate made me this lovely candle as a gift using the fabby 'Babys Prints' stampset from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue':
Such a beautiful gift!! Thankyou so much Cate! It is currently sitting pride of place in Baby Tiddlywinks nursery as the colours perfectly coordinate with the decor!!
I can't wait to have a go at stamping onto candles - beware everyone - guess what you'll all be getting for christmas!!!
Cate used a plain church
candle and stamped the super cute baby foot prints and the sentiment from the 'Baby Print' set onto white tissue paper. The tissue paper
was then attached to the candle using heat from her 'Embossing Heat Gun'!! How clever!!
To finish she gift wrapped it in cellophane and added some bows (created from 'White Organza Ribbon' and 'Baja Breeze' 'Seam Binding Ribbon'. She made a label from parchement paper and 'Baja Breeze' card, Cate embossed the baby foot print and the sentiment using 'White Embossing Powder'.

Bracknell Craft Show Make and Take!
Hey all, i forgot to mention last weekend i went to a fab craft show at Bracknell Lesuire Centre!! Stampin' Up! had a stall and the demo's as always offered all attendees a wonderful make and take project! Whilst visiting i couldn't resist making it myself! So here it is:
I features the wonderful 'The Open Sea' stampset from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue'. First we stamped the compass image in 'Night of Navy' ink onto a 'Night of Navy' cardbase.
On a piece of 'Old Olive' card we stamped the anchor image, using 'Old Olive ink' and then shaped the edges using the '1/2" Circle Punch' before gluing it onto the base. Next on a piece of 'Very Vanilla' card we stamped the background in 'Crumb Cake' ink and then stamped the ship and compass image using 'Night of Navy' ink, again edging the corners using the '1/2" Circle Punch'. Finally we stamped the sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set on 'Very Vanilla' and punched it out using the 'Modern Label Punch' and layered it onto a 'Night of Navy' 'Modern Label which has been snipped in half!!
I think you'll agree this is a fab design and brilliant colour combo! Well done ladies! And this stampset is a must to create cards for men! So why not treat yourself today and add this to your craft stash! Email me your order: amyjtidd@gmail.com (Don't forget to check out the July offer at the top of my blog! An Open Sea Ships Wheel Card!
Hey everyone - can you believe it is July! I can now officially say - 'my baby is due this month'!! yay!! Another step closer!!
Anyway - today's card (unrelated to the topic of babies - you may be please to hear - i appreciate my blog has had a baby theme recently!):
This card was designed by my friend Jade and we made it at her recent card class. (Check out her blog for details of upcoming classes!!)
In my opinion this card really showcases the brilliant 'Open Sea' stampset - which is just perfect to create cards for men or of a nautical theme:
We stamped the 'Baja Breeze' cardbase with the largest stamp in the set to create a background (using 'Pacific Point' ink) We then stamped the ship image (again using 'Pacific Point' ink) onto some 'Whisper White' card and cut this out (using the lid of a Stampin' Up! button pot as a template)
To create the 'Ship Wheel' We stamped the fab 'Woodgrain' background stamp onto a piece of 'Crumbcake' card (using 'Early Espresso' ink) We used the inside of a 'Red Sticky Tape' reel as a template to cut out the circle and then punched out some shapes using the 'Word Window Punch' to create the handles... sorry if i'm not using the technical nautical language!!! The shipswheel was attached to the cardbase using 'Dimensionals'!
Finally the sentiment comes from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' - i obviously used this card for Father Day but you could substitute this sentiment for any in the set, we punched this out using the 'Word Window Punch', using dimensionals to raise the sentiment and give it a 3D effect!!

Nautical Fathers Day Card!!
So it's Fathers Day this weekend coming - so have you brought/ made your cards yet? If not heres a little inspiration for you! I CASE'd this card from a Catherine Poolers blog i have recently come across! it's fab for ideas! The card i have to show you today features 'The Open Sea' stampset from the 'Summer Mini Catalogue'. I have slightly altered Catherines design - here it is:
On a 'Crumbcake' cardbase i stamped the large image from the stampset in two corners to create a background (using 'Crumbcake' ink) and then right at the bottom of the card i stamped the 'happy fathers day' sentiment from the 'Teeny Tiny Wishes' set in 'Night Of Navy' ink. Next on a strip of 'Crumbcake' i stamped the anchor image from the set using 'Night Of Navy' and 'Cherry Cobbler' ink and placed three 'Basic Rhinestones' to add a little bling! I snipped this strip of card at the bottom and then mounted it onto a larger strip of 'Cherry Cobbler' card.
I just love 'The Open Sea' stampset - it is completely perfect to make cards for men:
The great thing about this card is with a quick change of sentiment this card could be used for another occassion - a perfect masculine card!
If you'd like to make an order email me today: amyjtidd@gmail.com

The much 'Twitterpated' Mini Catalogue Card!!
Hey everyone! I have had a completely enjoyable day today, hosting my crafty open house to celebrate the launch of the Summer Mini Catalogue!! I had advertised 11am - 2pm but most of the ladies stayed until 4.30 and we had lots of fun chatting and crafting! Thankyou very much to Poppy, Lucy, Audrey, Suzanne and Jade for making today so much fun!
The card that i provided for my make and take project was designed by the lovely Julie and featured several products from the fab new mini catalogue, including the beautiful (Kath Kidston style) 'Twitterpated Fabric'. So here it is:
On a 'Baja Breeze' cardbase we embossed the lovely hearts from the 'Textured Impressions Embossing Folders: Adorning Accents' - i completely LOVE these folders and they are a welcomed addition to my craft stash!:
Next up we used the 'Big Shot' to cut some 'Blushing Bride' and 'Whisper White' card using the 'Labels Collection Framelit Dies', embossing down the centre with the hearts die!
Next up we created the beautiful fabric butterfly! We mounted some of the 'Twitterpated Fabric' onto some card using 'Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets' and then used the 'Big Shot' and the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die to cut the butterfly out. Before gluing him into place we tied some 'Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine' around him to create the antennae.
I just love the 'Twitterpated Fabric' - such a beautiful colour combo and i love the idea of using fabric on card - something i intend to do A LOT of in future, here's a close up of the three beautiful designs:
We finished off the card by adding the sentiment from the 'Apothecary Art' stampset (which coordinates with the ''Labels Collection Framelit Dies'):
We inked the sentiment using 'Red Riding Hood' ink and then very cleverly used the 'Heart Punch' to create the unusual sentiment banner - i love a new way of using an old punch!!!
I hope you like this card and it has inspired you to have a peak through the mini catalogue - you will find an electronic versions of this on the righthand side of my blog - let me know if you would like to make an order: amyjtidd@gmail.com

The Open Sea
Hey all, today i have had a completely busy day... work this morning, my Uncle Alberts funeral this afternoon, and a 3D baby scan this evening - unfortunately Baby Tiddlywink didn't feel like posing so we have to go back and try again but it was most definately confirmed that he is a BOY!!
Anyway, today i have a card to share with you that i made at my crafty friend Fionas Mini Catalogue launch party last Saturday, featuring the wonderfully masculine 'The Open Sea' stampset:
Here's the card we created:
Onto a 'Baja Breeze' cardbase and layered a piece of 'Island Indigo' cardstock, on which we stamped the ship image (also in 'Island Indigo' ink) The "manifesto" was stamped twice in 'Soft Suede' onto a piece of 'Naturals Ivory' and then we tore the paper so that the ship image that would have been underneath could be seen. The globe image was stamped in Island Indigo and a couple of 'More Mustard' compasses were added for good measure.
The greeting comes from the 'Curly Cute' stampset and we stamped this in 'More Mustard' before cutting the card so that it looks like a banner. Finished off with a 'Brad'.
I just love this card! And this stampset has so many uses! Perfect for mens cards and especially Father Day Cards!! If you love this stampset as much as i do why not drop me an email and make an order: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Another Apothecary Art Card!
Hey all, hope you all survived work today! Been a bit stressful?! Then why not get your crafty kit out?
Today i have another card created using the 'Apothecary Art' card to share with you - you'll notice the colours are very similar to the card shared yesterday as i made it at the same time and was quite taken with the 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive' colour combo!!
A crafty friend of mine Fiona taught me how to make cards of this layout. The cardbase has been create from a piece of 'Calypso Coral' with several pieces of 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive' strips of card that have run through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'.
The shapes in the middle of the card have been created using the 'Framelits Dies: Labels Collection' from the new Summer Mini Catalogue, created from 'Calypso Coral' and 'Old Olive' card:
I just love this range of Dies and they're so easy to use!! Notice that i rotated the smaller pieces and also ran them through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder'.
Finally i stamped the image for the centre of the card from the 'Apothecary Art' stampset (using 'Calypso Coral' ink and cut it out with the smallest die in the collection!
I'm completely in love with this stampset and die - if you are too and would like to make an order - drop me an e-mail today!!: amyjtidd@gmail.com
(I will be using these Dies as part of the make and take project at my Crafty Open House this Saturday - so if you live near Aldershot and would like to come along and craft for FREE drop me an email for details!!)

I finally distressed the edges using a 'Sponge Dauber' and 'Soft Suede' ink.
I just love this stampset, it has a completely vintage feel to it and so versatile for cardmakers and scrapbookers:
The 'Labels Framelits' are a wonderful, welcomed addition to the stampset:

Everybody Loves A Pinata!!
Hey all! Long weekend! Woo hoo! I have a lovely day today - had a crfaty session around a Stampin' Up! pal of mine Fionas - she was hosting her mini catty party today (before jetting off to the States for a couple of days - lucky thing!!!) We made a lovely card featuring 'The Open Sea' set (page 19 of the new Summer Mini Catty) I haven't got around to photographing this card yet so check back in a day or two to view this card! This afternoon i went out shopping with my Sis, Nan and Dad and brought lots of bits for Baby Tiddlywink!!!
Anyway... today i have another card to share with you using the 'Packed For Birthday' stamp that i featured yesterday. This stamp is absolutely fab because you can use it as a complete whole or for individuals componants - for this card i just stamped out the pinata element of the stamp:
Onto a 'Wisteria Wonder' cardbase i layered a piece of 'Melon Mambo'. Onto a piece of 'Whisper White' card i stamped the sentiment (from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' set) using 'Melon Mambo' ink.
On a seperate piece of card i stamped the pinata element of the 'Packed For Birthday' stamp...
using 'Basic Black' ink and then coloured it in using a range of 'Stampin' Write Markers' ('Wisteria Wonder', 'Melon Mambo' and 'Pretty In Pink') I cut out the pinata by hand and then glued it into place using some 'Dimensionals' to create a 3D effect. Before gluing down the 'Whisper White' card to the cardbase i used some of the new 'Wisteria Wonder' 'Bakers Twine' to create the string and bow to hang the pinata!!
Before i go today i have to share with you some of the fab accessories that are available in the new Summer Mini Catalogue, including the 'Bakers Twine' from the Summer Mini Catalogue (see page 22) It is just fab and such a bargain at just £2.50 per colour and you get approx 22.9m!!! It's available in six different colours: White, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder' and 'Island Indigo':
Also pictured above is the beautiful 'Jelly Bean Brads' (See Page 20) and the beautiful coordinating 'Sweet Shop DSP' (See page 21).
Why not take a look at the fab Summer Mini Catalogue! There is an electronic version of the catty on the righthand side of the blog. If you would like your own paper version on the catty then email over your postal addy and i'll get one to you ASAP!! And of course you can e-mail over any orders!: amyjtidd@gmail.com

'Packed For Birthday' Card!
Hey all, a very late post for me - i have recently turned nocturnal. I'm almost 28 weeks pregnant now and finding it increasingly difficult to sleep.
I've just got back from my crafty pal Jade's house, we had a lovely eating, scoffing pizza and eton mess, making a few new cards from the new mini catty and we helped Jade's friends Tori and Macca make 60 wedding invites - so all in all a very productive craftfest!!
Tonight i had a chance to play with the brilliant 'A la Carte; stamp 'Packed For Birthday'. If you don't own that many crafty bits and are looking for one versatile birthday stamp to get you started this may be the stamp for you...

Tonight i had a chance to play with the brilliant 'A la Carte; stamp 'Packed For Birthday'. If you don't own that many crafty bits and are looking for one versatile birthday stamp to get you started this may be the stamp for you...
It's one stamp that can be used as a whole or you can use all the different componants! And for just £8.95 i think it is complete value for money!!
So tonight i have a card that uses this stamp as a whole:
On an 'Elegant Eggplant' base i layered a piece of 'Old Oliver' which i ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder'. Next i stamped the sentiment - from the 'Happiest Birthday Wishes' (using 'Elegant Eggplant' ink onto some 'Whisper White' card and punched it out using the 'Decorative Label Punch' and then layered a strip of 'Elengant Eggplant card.
On a piece of 'Whisper White' i stamped the 'Packed For Birthday' stamp in 'Basic Black' ink, coloured it in using a range of 'Stampin' Write Markers' and mounted it onto a piece of 'Old Olive Card. Before gluing it onto the 'Elegant Eggplant' card i punched out two 'Old Olive' 'Decorative Labels', punching a whole in each using the 'Crop-a-dile' and then placing a 'Rich Razzleberry' 'Brad' and placed them underneath.
If you would like to purchase this stampset (or any other products from the main or summer mini catalogue - see electronic versions on the righthand side of this blog) then email over your order straight away: amyjtidd@gmail.com

Hello Summer Mini Catalogue!!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkk! I'm so excited to share with the Summer Mini Catalogue! Which will be available from today until the end of the August!
Anyway i MUST show you a project i made a couple of weekends ago with some Stampin' Up! demo pals of mine using some of these fab new products:a lovely giftbox (designed by Diane) using the new tool 'Simply Scored':
It is quite simply a fantastic tool that helps you to score evenly and precisely. It is the ideal tool for making boxes, embossing cards, mini books and handmade embellishments. So here you are... the beautiful 'pizza box' we made:
This type of box is known as a 'pizza box' and there are lots of tutorials online with various dimensions if you want to make one. The great thing about these boxes is that it has been made from one piece of card ('Blushing Bride' cardstock') that has not been cut at all just carefully scored and folded using the 'Simply Scored' tool!!
Before constructing the box we randomly stamped all over it a flower image from the beautiful 'Bordering on Romance' stampset (see page 11 of the mini catty) using 'Blushing Bride' ink. We also punched an opening tab using the '3/4" Circle Punch'.
We constructed the box using 'Red Sticky Tape' and then placed a square of 'Island Indigo' card on the top - which we ran through the 'Big Shot' using the 'Perfect Polka Dot' stampset.
Next up we stamped a stamp from the beautifully vintage looking 'Apothecary Art' stampset (see page 17 of the new Summer mini catalogue) using 'Island Indigo' ink and coloured in the flowery image using a selction of 'Stampin' Write Markers'. Heres the 'Apothecary stampset in full:
The great thing about this stampset is that you can purchase a set of 'Labels Collection Framelits Dies' which coordinate completely with this set! and this is what we used to cut out the label!! Perfect for all you scrapbookers out there!!
Before gluing this label onto the top of the box we inked on the sentiment from the 'Just Believe; stampset carefully using the 'Stamp-a-ma-jig' to ensure it was nice and straight!
Finally we made a 'belly belt' for the box. Made from a strip of 'Island Indigo' card (scored accurately using the 'Simply Scored' tool) and a strip of the beautiful 'Twitterpated DSP' (See page 13 of the mini catty) edged using the 'Scallop Trim Border Punch'. We cut two butterflys from this 'DSP' using the 'Big Shot' and the 'Beautiful Butterflies Die' and glued them into place embellishing them with a few 'Basic Pearls'!! Here's a :
I hope i have tempted you to have a sneaky peek inside the new mini catalogue - there is such a range of brilliant products in there i'm sure you won't be disappointed!! If you would like your own copy of the mini catalogue just email over your postal address and i'll pop one in the post.
